Orbitur Costa de Caparica

Liked: The site is in a great location which is kept in clean condition by friendly and efficient ground staff. The cafe bar also is well run with excellent staff. The facilities are plentiful. The ladies on reception are welcoming and knowledgeable. Disliked: The pandora hut was not ready at 4pm, the gentleman on reception unfortunately is not so welcoming, there were no coins to be able to do self service laundry and the parasol at hut had seen better days or could do with a wash at least. Better bedding would also be an improvement.

Good for exploring Lisbon. Bus and ferry to get there. Site itself is a bit cramped. Free spaces in the trees means people can be very close together. Facilities are ok but drainage needs to be sorted as you end up standing in a pool of water. Disabled room is particularly poor in terms of drainage as the whole floor becomes a pool of water making it quite slippery as it drains slowly after a shower. Distinct smell of drains too which wasn't pleasant. Nice cafe on site. Noise from nearby club so be aware.

The manager and staff isn't very friendly or welcoming. The campsite is next to a big road with bars (very loud during the nights). Not much nature, everything very dusty and poorly maintained. The washing rooms are clean and well maintained.

An excellent base from which to explore Lisbon. Plenty of dates for Motorhomes but also tents or permanent "bungalow" type accommodation. Located vert close to a beach ⛱️ & also a few bars/restaurants which were quite noisy on occasion into the small hours. We caught the ferry service to Belem, located about 40 mins walk from the site, over to the area of Lisbon. Site was level with a number of recreational facilities including a basketball court. Shower & toilet facilities were adequate.

Liked: The site is located within 10 minutes walk to the wonderful Costa da Caparica beach Good facilities, shop well stocked bar restaurant and laundry service. ( chargeable) shower and toilet facilities adequate friendly and helpful staff Disliked: WiFi only available close to reception not through out site

Liked: Nice campsite with clean toilets and showers. Good proximity to the beach. Disliked: Quite a busy site but expected as near city

Liked: Good on-site shop with really cheap Butane gas cylinders compared to UK. A 2.75kg cylinder swap was €19.40. Used local taxi organised by reception to reach ferry into Lisbon but difficult on return, had to use bus from port using Google Maps to ascertain route. A couple of Pizza restaurants nearby were very good. Disliked: In a very built-up area near to flats but I suppose this provided benefits with buses and restaurants.

Liked: Lovely site very near beautiful beaches (5mins walk). Spotless clean facilities and lots of hot water. Friendly, helpful hosts. Disliked: Had to take a taxi (14 euro return journey) then ferry to Lisbon as we could not find the bus stop for the direct bus to the city. WiFi only works at WiFi point near reception. Not great for prices charged.
