Just got back from staying a week at the Orchid Beach House and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our room rate included a continental breakfast that was delicious: yogurt topped with granola, coffee, fresh squeezed juice, a lovely fruit plate, homemade bread with marmalade. In addition to this breakfast, we tried a couple of their other breakfast options and they were outstanding: chiliquiles and juevos rancheros. Their chef and kitchen staff really excel. Our days were spent having breakfast, walking the beach, utilizing our roof top plunge pool, another walk on the beach and then a "late lunch/early supper" as the kitchen closes at 6pm. The meals were excellent, in fact, the Zarendeado fish was so good, I had to have it twice during our stay. We had looked at all-inclusive resorts, but decided to stay at the Orchid Beach House and feel like we actually saved money in the long run by doing so. It does seem rustic compared to the high rise inclusive resorts. The beach is lovely. Roger, our server, and Conrad, his son ;-) , made our stay feel quite pampered. On our last evening, they even brought our wine and dinners up to the rooftop for us to enjoy. Housekeeping was quite accomodating. They'd freshen our room while we were down for breakfast. We are both looking forward to return visit!

This hotel definitely doesn't live up to 5-star standards, and its location is a bit far from restaurants. Given that I booked the most basic room (9-Brassia), I had modest expectations. However, several issues stood out during my stay: 1. My room experienced a water outage for an hour and a half, leaving me unable to shower after a beach day. 2. The service was slow, despite nice meal presentations. I waited 30 minutes for my "house burger" and was met with a dismissive response about there being a lot of orders. 3. The restaurant hides their happy hour drinks menu if the beach club is busy. 4. On-site restaurants close early, at 6 pm, so it's best to explore dinner options outside the hotel. 5. There's no pool at the resort. 6. I encountered price inconsistencies, particularly when inquiring about bicycle rentals, where two staff members quoted me different daily prices. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay, but I have to say that my experience at their sister hotel, Orchid House downtown, was better.

Me and my friend enjoyed a wonderful day at the Orchid beach club! 1) Very helpful, caring, attentive staff! A pleasure to communicate! Special thanks to Roger for 5star hospitality! 2) Comfortable seats with shade. Possible to choose beam bags with lovely natural-wood roof or bed with umbrella. 3) Very well chosen chill music that doesn’t annoy or interrupts the sounds of the sea. Music and sounds of the nature complement each other 4) Excellent cocktails and food! Very tasty and of reasonable cost (which is so uncommon for Tulum). Makes you want to order more and actually tip the staff with love ❤️ Once again, thank you so much for such a wonderful service guys! Definitely worth visiting once more while in Tulum next time !

I really enjoyed my stay at Orchid. The grounds are beautiful and constantly maintained. When i think of beach from Tulum this pretty much perfectly decides it. The hotel is very quiet and private. The lot next door is empty so noise is not an issue. The room was beautiful and it had balcony and roof top. The beach cabanas were nice and comfy. Service was great too. The menu is awesome. Every item i got was quality. Its an excellent value and location. Right across from the pharmacy and wine store. A few minutes walk is the go mart and restaurants. Looking forward to returning.

Overall a good experience staying at the hotel! Excellent location, you can walk the whole length of the beach and go to the different clubs. Beach club is very chill and not too noisy. The food was 10/10 excellent. Service was extremely slow. (1 hour wait for a can of beer) The beachfront itself is pretty dark at night, most restaurants are only accessible on the street facing side. At night you can only access the beach front through public access points which is a 1.5 mile stretch in between. Would not recommend the Garden Suite with Plunge Pool. It smelled like mold and you will get eaten alive by mosquitos next to the pool. The Partial Ocean Suite was much better.

This hotel is a scam. They will add a bunch of 'service charges' to your bill and then force you to pay in USD at a terrible exchange rate. I ordered a can of coke at the restaruant which ended up costing $9.85USD (yes, almost $10 for a single can of coke)||||Forcing your cusomters to pay in USD is illegal in Mexico and i would recommend anyone else who is forced to do this to report it to the credit card company for a chargeback.||||Apart from that the stay was lovely.

Intament stay with great drinks, food and staff. Private beach! You can pay for daily access if you are not a guest. We stayed 4 nights in Cambria 1, which is the room right on the beach. WOW! We were very happy with our choice as this was our first time staying right on the beach. The room has a balcony with an ocean view that is amazing, cold plunge pool, hamock, chairs, and a table. We couldn't believe how great it was! The staff completed the experience and atmosphere with amazing service. We thought the coffee and food were delicious and reasonably priced. Passion in the jungle was our go-to beverage of the week and is a must try here, tequila with fresh watermelon and passion fruit! During our stay we for breakfast, we had the hotcakes, scrambled eggs with bacon and ham and cheese omlet. For dinner, we enjoyed the chicken tacos and quesadilla. All the food was terrific with great flavor and well portioned.||Things to know:|There was no tv in the room and in our opinion who cares didn't need one or miss it! Wifi worked well during our stay. The shower and sink water seemed to be filtere sea water, so make sure you have plenty of bottled water. They do supply you some in the room each day.||Things in reviews we feel differently about:|We felt safe the entire time and frequently left our shoes, sandles, and clothes outside and never had an issue with anything getting stolen. The staff NEVER tried to steal our money and went out of their way to explain and answer all of our questions, including day tours. This is not a massive hotel with a ton of staff, so yes, sometimes we waited a little for a drink, but may I remind you these guys are running food and drink to the restaurant deck as well as the beach. They always stopped by on their rounds and kept great communication. Pack your patience people and use it on the beach! Also if you don't want to pay the daily fee to enjoy the private beach, you can have fun with the crowds on the public beach but don't leave a bad review just for that because your cheap!||Special thanks to Josue, Emanuel, and Nelson! Thank you again, everyone, for the great experience! Highly recommend and can't wait to come back, see you soon!

The room we had was nice. The bed was comfortable & the bathroom was small but clean. We did not like that so many mosquitos were able to get into the room through the windows & there were two circular holes in the doors. The patio connected to our room was not very private which was disappointing. Staff and food/drinks were great! They cleaned the room each day and communicated with us the entire stay. Overall I would not book this room again but maybe get the one with the private roof top. It also was a bit of a walk to the more popular parts of Tulum Beach
