Orchid Beach House

My husband and I had an incredible stay in Tulum, thanks largely to Marcial. He was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and helped us arrange transportation with ease. He also recommended fantastic local places to eat that we truly enjoyed.||Our room was stunning, with an amazing view just steps away from the beach. We loved being able to wake up and walk straight out to the sand. The food and drink service was exceptional as well, everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff was attentive and friendly.||During Día de los Muertos, Marcial suggested several great places for us to visit, helping us take part in the celebration in a meaningful and memorable way. Every time we saw him, he welcomed us warmly and made us feel like family. His kindness and hospitality truly made our trip special.||We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here, especially with Marcial’s outstanding support!

Orchid Beach house is a rustic and very intimate hotel on the Tulum hotel strip. The customer service is superb from the moment you walk into the lobby to the housekeeper, to the kitchen, to the maint crew. We are especially thankful to Marshall who greeted us on our arrival and was so gracious and welcoming. Every evening when we would see him he was a gem and went out of his way to make sure our stay the best it could be. If you want a beautiful and relaxing stay in the Tulum hotel zone this is a great choice! The food was amazing also!

SCAM ALERT: Orchid House Tulum Jungle is Ghosting Guests to Pocket Stolen Funds I am writing this to warn every traveler: Do not book a room at Orchid House Tulum Jungle. What started as a simple administrative error has unmasked a deeply disturbing and likely fraudulent business model. Due to a technical glitch, two separate reservations were made for the exact same dates. Both were canceled immediately within the allowable window. Instead of a routine refund, I have been met with a total communication blackout. The Evidence of Unethical Conduct: • Deliberate Evasion: I have reached out via email, phone, and social media. As the attached screenshots prove, my inquiries are being read and ignored. This isn't "bad service"; it’s a calculated silence designed to wait out credit card dispute windows. • Double-Dipping: The hotel is currently holding payment for two rooms they never provided, while likely having re-sold those same rooms to other guests. This is profiteering, plain and simple. • Suspected Fraudulent Practices: When a business refuses to acknowledge proof of cancellation and cuts off all channels of dispute resolution, they are no longer a hospitality provider—they are operating a financial trap. A Warning to the Public & Media This is a formal notice to the management of Orchid House Tulum Jungle: Your attempt to hide behind a "no-response" policy is a violation of consumer rights. I am currently in the process of escalating this to the Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General, and local consumer advocacy groups. A reputable hotel values its integrity. This place is a 10/10. Coming during the off season was the best decision we could have made because we got the whole place to ourselves. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Always willing to help. The rooms were BEAUTIFUL! And the food was delicious. Waking up to the sound of the waves is paradise on earth. The suite we were in had a fridge, fan, AC, and TV! So call and confirm what accommodations you guys have before booking. this place is great pictures too! The beach house is right downstairs! Just bring bug spray for mosquitoes! lol 💯💯👍👍

They gave us a mildew smelling room closest to the reception. We asked for them to change the room and they said that they would for another $70 dollars. The súper 8 motel in the united states was better than this spot. We stayed here 3 nights. Worst 3 nights in Mexico out of a 10 day trip

“It was my worst travel experience. They charge you for everything, even for the breakfast service, which was very simple and just a dry piece of bread without even a slice of cheese. If you go there, don’t include breakfast — there are much better options on the street!” The bathrooms were not very clean, and the sink was disgusting. The stones were not well cleaned, and I kept imagining the amount of bacteria there. It made me feel sick. The shower area was also quite gross, especially where the water drained.”

This hotel definitely doesn't live up to 5-star standards, and its location is a bit far from restaurants. Given that I booked the most basic room (9-Brassia), I had modest expectations. However, several issues stood out during my stay: 1. My room experienced a water outage for an hour and a half, leaving me unable to shower after a beach day. 2. The service was slow, despite nice meal presentations. I waited 30 minutes for my "house burger" and was met with a dismissive response about there being a lot of orders. 3. The restaurant hides their happy hour drinks menu if the beach club is busy. 4. On-site restaurants close early, at 6 pm, so it's best to explore dinner options outside the hotel. 5. There's no pool at the resort. 6. I encountered price inconsistencies, particularly when inquiring about bicycle rentals, where two staff members quoted me different daily prices. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay, but I have to say that my experience at their sister hotel, Orchid House downtown, was better.

Just got back from staying a week at the Orchid Beach House and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our room rate included a continental breakfast that was delicious: yogurt topped with granola, coffee, fresh squeezed juice, a lovely fruit plate, homemade bread with marmalade. In addition to this breakfast, we tried a couple of their other breakfast options and they were outstanding: chiliquiles and juevos rancheros. Their chef and kitchen staff really excel. Our days were spent having breakfast, walking the beach, utilizing our roof top plunge pool, another walk on the beach and then a "late lunch/early supper" as the kitchen closes at 6pm. The meals were excellent, in fact, the Zarendeado fish was so good, I had to have it twice during our stay. We had looked at all-inclusive resorts, but decided to stay at the Orchid Beach House and feel like we actually saved money in the long run by doing so. It does seem rustic compared to the high rise inclusive resorts. The beach is lovely. Roger, our server, and Conrad, his son ;-) , made our stay feel quite pampered. On our last evening, they even brought our wine and dinners up to the rooftop for us to enjoy. Housekeeping was quite accomodating. They'd freshen our room while we were down for breakfast. We are both looking forward to return visit!
