Just got back from staying a week at the Orchid Beach House and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our room rate included a continental breakfast that was delicious: yogurt topped with granola, coffee, fresh squeezed juice, a lovely fruit plate, homemade bread with marmalade. In addition to this breakfast, we tried a couple of their other breakfast options and they were outstanding: chiliquiles and juevos rancheros. Their chef and kitchen staff really excel. Our days were spent having breakfast, walking the beach, utilizing our roof top plunge pool, another walk on the beach and then a "late lunch/early supper" as the kitchen closes at 6pm. The meals were excellent, in fact, the Zarendeado fish was so good, I had to have it twice during our stay. We had looked at all-inclusive resorts, but decided to stay at the Orchid Beach House and feel like we actually saved money in the long run by doing so. It does seem rustic compared to the high rise inclusive resorts. The beach is lovely.
Roger, our server, and Conrad, his son ;-) , made our stay feel quite pampered. On our last evening, they even brought our wine and dinners up to the rooftop for us to enjoy. Housekeeping was quite accomodating. They'd freshen our room while we were down for breakfast.
We are both looking forward to return visit!
