My initial encounter with the staff was friendly and accommodating, which I appreciated. However, during our breakfast buffet, three of us were denied entry because we were wearing "sandos." We complied and changed our attire, but later noticed that two guests inside the buffet area were also wearing sandos and were not approached.
When we asked for clarification, we were told that "spaghetti strap sandos" are not allowed, but some types of sandos are acceptable. This was very confusing. To add to the frustration, the staff said they could not do anything about the other guests already inside because they had already been allowed entry. The inconsistency in enforcing the dress code was disappointing and unfair.
As we were leaving—just a meter or two away from the buffet area—my attention was called as if I was walking out without paying. It was an embarrassing moment that left a negative impression. I later found out the staff involved were OJTs/interns, which may explain the handling, but it doesn't excuse how the situation made us feel.
I lost my appetite and felt uncomfortable throughout. Sadly, this experience is what we’ll remember most about our stay.
