The Orchid Garden Suites in Malate provides a truly unique experience. The building is a time capsule, with its 1930s architecture and a quiet, almost stately presence that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era. It’s surrounded by lush greenery, which gives it a secluded atmosphere, like you’ve stumbled into a hidden corner of Manila. The staff were consistently warm and polite. However, I couldn’t help but notice my room wasn’t cleaned once during my three-day stay. It is a place of charming inconsistencies, where old-world grace exists alongside a few overlooked details. If you are here for the ambiance and do not mind the absence of daily housekeeping, it is worth a stay.

The Orchard Garden Suites - Manila offers a decent option for accommodation in Manila. The rooms are spacious and clean, providing a comfortable base for exploring the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, it is an older hotel, hence, amenities are somewhat outdated and some minor maintenance is needed especially with the air-conditioning (noisy) and some lights in the room. Overall, The Orchard Garden Suites - Manila is a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers or those prioritizing space and a central location. However, be prepared for some minor shortcomings in terms of its amenities.

This hotel is probably one of the few in the Metro that offers affordable suite rooms for medium to large groups of peaplea (at least 6-8). My family and I stayed here (2 different suite rooms) on two occasions and we had everything we needed - spacious and comfortable bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, sufficient living room and plenty of bathrooms with actual bath tubs. HOWEVER, most of the facilities are in bad shape. The royal suite, in particular had multiple malfunctioning facilities - from the shower to the toilet and bathtub to the TV and the kitchen stove. They are in dire need of utility replacement, not just basic repairs.

I saw reviews saying they had a bad experience in this hotel, but for me I had a good time and a good rest with really good food and service from their staff. The room was a bit old but it was not dirty, TV is working and wifi was okay. They have a beautiful and homey lobby. We had dinner din here, pasta and salad was great, but surprisingly we loved the potato chips the most. Breakfast buffet has not much selection but all dishes were simple yet cooked properly, and that's what I'm looking for, nothing fancy but all are edible. Kudos to the guy from the coffee corner, Jayvee, he really assisted us with our orders! Happy to have stayed here :)

We always stay here whenever we have camps nearby. The rooms are mostly nice but the wifi is unstable. Given how old the hotel is, sometimes you also just have to test your luck not to get a room that has a weak/faulty shower. But in general the rooms are clean and homey. The Royal Suite is one of the best rooms to get!

The rooms are old, though spacious. Most of the stuff in the rooms also reflects the age of the rooms. The aircon grill in my room fell off. The hot water shower runs only for a short while before it turns cold. The attitude of the housekeeping & maintenance staff are lazy. However, the consolation is that Front Desk staff were polite.

Hotel room is excellent if you book suite room, delux rooms are small in size, only two small bottle of water per day is provided, no daily cleaning in the room, one need to ask in front desk for the bottle of water. Limited dinner options, but breakfast is good. security is very good. Staff in front desk are friendly. So, its mix impression. Its difficult to walk outside of hotel as footpath are occupied by parking vehicles.

Its a okay hotel, we booked a standard queen bed but on their paper it said that we booked standard twin and since they’re fully booked we wont be able to transfer. There is no soap on our room too. Its an old retro vibe which we love but sadly not that good of a experience on our first stay
