At checkout the lady asked if I wanted her to open the fragrance bottle, which was in a sealed plastic wrap, to check if it was full. I declined, not wanting to open a package that's meant to be a gift. Wrong decision. It turned out the fragrance bottle was not closed and, after carrying it through Singapore for a day, 100 ml of room fragrance leaked into my bag. When I took it out of the still sealed package, the bottle was completely open and empty. $78 and one present wasted.
Edit: returned the next day, staff apologised and replaced the bottle. This time they checked if it was closed, and found it was not full, so that's apparently a thing. They filled it up and gave me a complimentary small perfume (for women)
