We just had a wonderful couple of nights at O'Reillys - what a truly special place it is. Such an interesting history and the perfect getaway to connect with nature. We stayed in a Mountain View room, which was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the original lodge building was plentiful, and the bar food was great - perfect for early dinners accompanied by a beautiful sunset. ||Of course the best guests are the non-paying ones - the birds! This is a world-class spot for birdwatching. We did the early morning bird walk with Jackie, who was very knowledgeable and pointed out gorgeous birds as we had the opportunity to feed them - including the stunning regent bowerbird, O'Reilly's mascot! Another excellent activity was the 4WD tour, led by Sam, who was passionate about the rainforest and so informative.||We were reluctant to leave today, but are determined to come back. Thank you to the manager and all staff for making it such a great stay :)

Brilliant spot to spend time with family and friends! We stayed here for a couple of nights, and the villas were lovely, offering breathtaking views. Breakfast was included in our package, while lunch and dinner had to be purchased separately. The meals were tasty, though slightly on the expensive side—understandable given the location. We enjoyed a few walks in the area and absolutely loved them—Moran Falls was a highlight! Overall, it’s a wonderful hinterland getaway for relaxing with your family. Driving in and out of O’Reilly’s is very scenic, but the winding roads and occasional single-lane sections mean you need to stay focused and stick to the speed limits.

I’d been to O’Reilly’s before with a bunch of motorcycling mates, so subsequently decided to take my wife there for a quick getaway. The mountain outdoors is a natural wonderland where nature’s at its best. The birds are awesome, and various walks etc complement the stunning mountain views. There’s a life-sized replica of an aeroplane near the cabins which needs some serious refurb. ||The whole place is a bit ‘tired’, but that didn’t detract from our experience. Our room was very comfortable, no complaints - very restful. One of the O’Reillys gave us a group ‘welcome’ talk about the history of the place, followed by a short (free) film and a (free) glass of bubbly. Very entertaining, friendly and informative.||The only downside was the food. Breakfast and dinner were 2.5 at best, especially in view of the very high prices. Due to the location there are no alternative eating places unless you want a 2 hour return trip. Overall, a great place to go if you want to sit on a mountain and meditate (while fasting).

What a magical place. As a family of four we so looked forward to this visit….and it didn’t disappoint. We have a two bed room villa which was great and very spacious. Food we thought was good .. maybe a little pricey for the restaurant in the evening, but was really nice. My tip is when booking pay for breakfast up front if a deal is on offer. We did this, saved money and the breakfast buffet is ace. We had great encounters with birds and animals, and the sunsets over the mountains are quire special.

O’Reilly’s is where you want to be to experience a winter wonderland. The walks are well maintained and the bird life is as plentiful as ever. Great deals are on offer with a fantastic buffet breakfast and bar food at night. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and definitely get a balcony to take in the breathtaking views. The cafe offers yummy delights as well. Enjoy the clear skies and relax in the warm lodge this winter.

We stayed in a family villa. Beautiful outlook from deck. Spa on deck glorious especially on cooler nights ( and days) we made great use of it. Dinner at restaurant very expensive and not a huge variety either for a buffet. No real kid friendly (or teenager) food. Bar upstairs does fantastic pizzas and chippies. Advice to book all activities before you go as they fill up really quick. Will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful place in top of the hill. Just be careful while feeding the birds, they will scratch all over your arms so wear a full sleev clothes and a cap or hat. Beautiful hiking trails around the car park. Amazing 👍👍

Get ready for the ride of your life to get here. The staff is amazing, the rooms are very clean. The place is beautiful the trails are amazing. Breathtaking views! The only thing is we think they should better level the trails, but we are not taking a star for that. Overall it was an amazing experience!

Yelp
One of my favorite days of the whole trip was our long car trip up into the mountains to come to O'Reilly's. This is a private business that's a welcome center, restaurant/cafe, and lodge with cabin style rooms to stay and enjoy the birds. Everything here is bird-centric and you'll see tons so if you love them, this is a must-stop. We only came for the day and started with a visit to the cafe for burgers and drinks. Even in the dining areas the birds will come up to you. The gift shop is large with lots of souvenirs. The highlight is buying a tray of bird seed, where you'll be immediately inundated with parrots and other birds fighting over the seeds. It's amazing to see them so close up. They have an airplane that tells the story of a crash on the mountain decades ago. They have restrooms as well. From the center, there is a forest walk that's worth it to get closer to nature. At the end there is a botanical garden you can explore, and a tree top walk with bridges pretty high up. On one especially tall tree, there are ladders that go into the canopy to get amazing views of the valley and far off mountains. It's worth the climb! If you're in the area, this is a must visit special place. You can either spend the day, or stay a night or two if you want to experience natural Australia.

Yelp
This place is amazing! In the middle of a world heritage site and national park is this fantastic resort with all of the amenities. Delicious food, 5star service, hiking trails, beautiful day with a pool overlooking the valley, shopping, a cafe, and nature walks and talks. What an incredible experience to get to stay here.

Yelp
We came over here from nyc and stayed at O'Reilly's for a few days. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the hikes around the retreat. The food was great as well. Get the garlic prawn pizza, it's so good that we had the same thing twice for dinner. Some of the wines at the O'Reilly winery were awesome too. The downside is that the WiFi didn't work in our room at all. When we asked about it, they gave us some bs excuse.

Yelp
Had coffee and cake. Excellent on both counts. Fresh cream. The location is just superb, the cafe is clean and the staff are friendly.

Yelp
Been coming up here every since I was a little boy, first with my parents. Later as a parent myself , bringing my children . It is so peaceful up here. You can smell the the fresh air of the rain forest, you can feel yourself d stressing from the circus they call the city. You can spread a picnic rug on the lush green grass and just chill. Very peaceful . Didn't bring the walking shoes, this time. They have beautiful walking tracks that wind throughout the plateau . With beautiful waterfalls.

Yelp
Wonderful location, activities and staff. Imagine waking up in the middle of the forest, and just breathing in the fresh air with the local birds saying hello to you on the balcony. It's almost like a Disney movie! Staff here are very friendly and pleasant. There's heaps of activities to do from Segway to flying fox and of course the treetop walk (climbing the ladder was an achievement!). There's plenty of included activities as well. Food was the let down. I didn't dine in the main restaurant. Mainly the bar, and it was pricey for what it was. Cocktail happy hours were great! Breakfast was substantial and had a large variety. The Lost World Spa is well worth a visit, and their cheese platter was crazy huge!!! Even if you don't go for a treatment, go for a dip in the infinity pool. If you don't want to walk to the infinity pool, you can always relax in the spa overlooking the valley. Amazing!!! Also educational as well with nightly films in the theatre. This place has it all, relaxation, adrenalin, education. Not sure what else you can include (perhaps a better menu).
