The staff here speaks a bit of English and is very respectful. The food came out incredibly fast, and payment is easy with a machine that supports English, Korean, and other languages. There's even a halal-friendly option for Muslims, making it a welcoming spot for everyone. The place itself isn't very big, but it's clean, comfortable, and has nice seating with a tidy kitchen you can see. For the price, the portions are super filling and surprisingly affordable. They also serve traditional Japanese curry, which was a great touch. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. I highly recommend trying this place at least once!

If you’re looking for an authentic, delicious and no fuss meal while in Osaka, then this is the place for you! We had pork cutlet curry and added cheese. The best curry we’ve ever had! There were plenty of condiments and service was quick. Order your food inside on the ticket machine, then take your ticket outside to wait for your number to be called. Sit up at the bench to eat your food and watch the cooks continue their preparation. 10/10 would come back to Osaka just for the curry.

Randomly stumbled upon a Japanese curry restaurant and found this gem — it was really delicious! The cook did a great job managing the floor. Even though he was busy cooking, he still took the time to host us and made sure we were doing well and enjoying our food. I'm not sure if he was the owner, but he was really good. We went on a Sunday around 11 AM and waited for an hour. It was worth the wait! I’d suggest going after peak hours to avoid the queue.

What a gem of a curry restaurant found in Osaka, Japan. This place sells a good range of different options served with extra toppings. Their curry is so hearty and delicious, you can really taste the authenticity and effort the chefs put into their dishes. Line was very long unfortunately, but I think it was definitely worth the wait. They put seats outside for you to wait so you don’t have to stand! Very considerate of them and overall, great pricing for an amazing meal!

We were looking for a lunch spot near our hotel when this place popped up on Google, and we decided to give it a try. The wait was fairly long—around 30 to 40 minutes—as the restaurant is quite small, seating only about 10-12 people at a time, and food is freshly prepared only after you’re seated. We ordered the shrimp curry ramen and the beef curry rice. The food was served piping hot (so hot I actually scalded my mouth on the first sip of curry!). The curry ramen reminded me a lot of Mee Rebus from back home—comforting and familiar in flavor—while the beef curry had the rich, hearty taste you’d expect from a classic Japanese curry. All in all, it was an enjoyable meal with satisfying flavors—well worth the wait if you’re not in a rush.

Amazing Japanese curry with quick, friendly service! They prepared the food right in front of us. The vegetarian/halal curry sauce was delicious and perfect for my pescatarian diet. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

The food here is very yummy! Ordered the pork katsu curry & chicken cutlet ramen, and would recommend! The curry was savoury & had a good spice level, and the ramen broth was very balanced and not too salty. There was only one chef but he worked very quickly and he was very attentive to all the customers, as he gave me extra curry sauce without asking when he saw that I had no more sauce but more rice left. Although the restaurant is small, it is definitely worth the wait! You need to order on the machine inside the restaurant and wait for a spot to open by the counter. Will visit again!

We stopped by Oretachino Curry-ya for dinner and were greeted by a bustling scene—the restaurant was packed, and rightly so. Despite the short wait, the experience was streamlined thanks to a self-service ticket machine at the entrance, which made ordering efficient and stress-free. Staff were courteous, quick, and professional throughout. The restaurant maintained a spotless environment, impressive for a curry joint. There were no heavy curry or oil smells lingering in the air—just clean, inviting simplicity that allowed the food to shine. We ordered both the chicken and pork katsu curries, each topped generously with torched cheese. What arrived was visually stunning: golden katsu laid atop a bed of rice, smothered in rich Japanese curry and a luscious layer of melted, slightly scorched cheese (as seen in the photo). It was indulgent without being heavy. The curry sauce was deeply savoury, slightly sweet, and beautifully balanced—umami-rich without overwhelming the palate. The katsu cutlets were perfectly fried: crisp and light on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. The addition of the cheese brought an extra layer of richness and texture, making each bite more satisfying than the last. Oretachino Curry-ya delivers a quintessential katsu kare experience with subtle refinements that elevate it above the average. If you’re in Osaka and craving a comforting, flavourful Japanese curry, this spot is absolutely worth the wait.
