Oretta exceeded every expectation. From the moment I reached out to the moment our team of more than twenty people walked through the doors, everything was seamless. I needed a reservation only a few days before our event, and despite the short notice, the coordination was flawless. Rachael, who handled our booking, was exceptional. She provided every detail we needed, communicated clearly and quickly, and ensured that our reservation was confirmed without any stress on our end. When we arrived, we were given a private dining area that was absolutely stunning. It was beautifully designed, spacious, and perfect for a large group. Every single guest commented on how impressive the space was, and it truly set the tone for an elevated dining experience. We chose the family-style menu, which turned out to be the perfect choice. The antipasti came out fresh and flavorful, the pizzas were so abundant that we even had leftovers, and the pastas were cooked to perfection. Dessert, rich, balanced, and beautifully presented, was a memorable finish. Every dish felt carefully prepared and thoughtfully served. Between the gorgeous aesthetics, the warm and attentive service, and the phenomenal food, Oretta delivered on all fronts and then some. I would absolutely return, whether for another team event or a personal night out. A truly wonderful experience from start to finish.

Google
Attended a private party for Christmas. Booked the room upstairs. Great atmosphere. Staff was quick to tidy up the tables, and food was pretty good, but nothing especially note worthy about the service and food. Would recommend the eggplant (sorry no pic) over steak. Tiramisu over the chocolate cake. Beef carpaccio was excellent. Would recommend if you’re looking for an intimate event.

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner and had a nice time! I like the ambience at night, but we were seated in between two huge birthday groups where one was quite rowdy so anticipate some noise. Also our table was kind of small and felt like it was in the middle of a corridor because of all the customers and servers constantly passing us. Our server Daniel was so wonderful though so that made it better! I did enjoy the food. I think that their food is not meant to be overly complicated and that there's a charm to the simplicity. Also the portions are very generous compared to other Toronto restaurants at this price point. Funghi appetizer was creamy yet not too heavy, Genovese pasta was hearty and cooked perfectly al dente, and Tartara pizza was refreshing and unique though slightly dry because its a pizza bianca so there's no sauce as the base. Also, not pictured but the Tiramisu Martini was really good. Would love to come back to try their brunch menu.

My husband and I had a great time here for our first wedding anniversary. Our server was Jonathan, and truly he was one of the best servers in my entire experience of dining out. Very polite and welcoming! I ended up having an extra drink!

Google
Came here for happy hour on a weekday, and wow. The ambiance was perfect, waitstaff were wonderful, and bites were delicious. The drinks we happened to order were a bit on the sweet side (e.g., limoncello soda), but the small pizzetta were delicious. Can't wait to come by again.

Google
Everything at Oretta was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and stylish, the service was attentive, and the drinks were exceptionally good. We tried the tasting menu and it was fantastic—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We genuinely enjoyed both the dishes and the overall vibe of the restaurant. I would definitely return. Strongly recommended! Thank you to the entire team for a great experience!

Google
I came here recently with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. However the food was mediocre for its price. The margarita pizza was boring and felt like any other pizza, the vodka pasta tastes good only the first few bites, but the gnocchi was good.

Google
Really nice restaurant but the food wasn’t the best. The cheese board was good but the risotto wasn’t good. It shouldn’t be too watery. And it was very bland. The service was great tho, our server was so sweet she took a pic of us with a camera and let us keep the picture! Overall a 10/10 for our experience here but 5/10 for the food. This is a one time try restaurant.

Yelp
I saw mixed reviews but the $25 bottomless mimosas were too good of a deal to pass up. I also ordered the Che Fame eggs and the table shared a tiramisu. The mimosas were great and our server made sure our glasses were never empty. $25. The Che Fame eggs were absolutely delicious. Soft scrambled eggs with a naan-type bread, buratta and truffle oil. Perfectly prepared. I added fresh black pepper and chilli oil to mine. 10/10 and I think it was about $23. The tiramisu was good. Nothing extraordinary but definitely delicious as you can tell by the plate we cleared. Can't recall the exact price but I think it was around $11. I would definitely return for brunch!

Yelp
This was one of the most underwhelming restaurant experiences I have ever had. I truly cannot comprehend the hype for a spot with such hollow ambiance, mediocre service, and unflavoured food. The interior of the restaurant was very corporate Italian, instagrammable but little to differentiate it from other restaurants down the street. The service was just fine, efficient but impersonal. We got our food on time, but I am not sure that was even worth it. Now the food. We tried some items for happy hour which were very tiny. The croquettes were fine, good texture but no discernible flavour. The burger was laughable, $15 for a tiny burger with a cold bun and an okay patty. We tried the limoncello soda which seemed slapped together and again, super tiny. From the regular menu I tried the pistachio pesto ravioli. If you asked a 15 year old to put together a nice fancy dish, I believe this is what they would serve to you. Plain ravioli stuffed with ricotta over a thin layer of pistachio pesto sauce, with some tiny barely cooked prawns scattered on top. Certainly not a dish worth almost $30. Overall, I would definitely not recommend this spot, there are plenty of better modern Italian restaurants in the city you can visit for a better experience.

Yelp
Love Oretta on King Street and they have a decent happy hour deal! Was able to get a drink, appetizer, and a small pizza for $30. And I'm a huge fan of their patio and cute decor :)

Yelp
We made a reservation for a Sunday dinner and our table was ready upon our arrival. The restaurant is beautiful and bar in the middle of the restaurant is a positive addition to their great vibes. The staff are friendly, but sometimes it's hard to get their attention which makes the service a bit slow. We ordered "Fritto Di Calamari", "Burrata" and "Crudo Di Ricciola" to share. We really loved our choice of appetizers; perfect seasoning and fresh ingredients. For main, we shared "Polpo e Patate" (half grilled octopus), which was perfectly cooked to our liking. And we finished our meal with a delicious "Tiramisu".

Yelp
Style over substance Walking into Oretta expectations are set high - the staff is super welcoming and interior sets the stage for a great experience- the entry is lined with tins of stylish high quality looking EVOO (relevant to this post) Our waitress was lovely and reccomended a lovely wine ... but from there the food mediocre at best ... I ordered the Nizzara salad - described as "preserved tuna, fingerling potatoes, avocado, tomato, green beans, corn, boiled egg, romaine lettuce" Preserved tuna in a restaurant setting I would interpret as - higher quality than canned, packed in olive oil with visible chunks or fillets- What I got was was a massive bowl of romaine lettuce with tinned tuna a few boiled potatoes, corn, avocado and tomatoes (no green beans) NO SEASONING ON ANYTHING and back to the entrance - not even any olive oil drizzled over the top ... Other members of my party had the burger and the breakfast sandwich both serve with fried potatoes- but when my table asked for ketchup we were told they do not serve it b- how pretentious - if you are against processed condiments - make a homemade ketchup - instead we were offered to purchase a homemade lemon aioli for 2 dollars - which we did - there was nothing lemon about it - The lemon pancakes were flavourless and had way too much cream to pancake ratio - if you want a dish like this go to gusto 101 - way better-- I will say the pineapple with salt & olive oil is delicious and a lovely way to end a meal This restaurant had so much potential but missed the mark on so many points - it is a one and done for me

Yelp
It was mid - the food was overall good but relative to the standard dining experience of the area - I expected better. The pizza was very good, quality Ingredients used but the toppings are very slim and scattered so you have to evenly distribute things yourself (8.4/10) - If I had to return, I would get a pizza. The half rack of lamb was seasoned well, cooked medium-rare with no accompanying sides, it is relatively expensive. Too rare for my preference - reminded me of sashimi texture, it was very different from what I expected and am used to (6.9/10) The calamari had a good amount of salt and was battered well but lacked variety without any squid to make it stand out. (8/10) The dining area is loud. The aesthetic is nice for a girls night out - good picture opportunities. Service was good but nothing special. It was our anniversary and it was noted in the reservation, wasn't mentioned. Overall, I don't regret going but I wouldn't return.

Yelp
Gave Oretta another try when I saw on Ritual that they have pizza. Let's make it clear, they're pizzettes, not pizza. It's smaller than a personal size pizza, but still a decent size for an individual. I tried the mushroom and cheese (pizzetta piemonte) pizzette $11.95 which honestly you must eat it there - any taking it outdoors (in this winter weather) it'll be stiff guaranteed. Overall the truffle cream is not obvious but mushroom and cheese is always a nice combo. I also picked up the tiramisu which is a nice dessert but not something you desire to get again right away. $5.50. Staffs are friendly. Space is tight and certainly will not allow for entry of an accessible motor scooter.

Yelp
It was very lively for a Sunday afternoon but unfortunately the food was lacking. Portions were small and overpriced for what it is. The tuna sandwich was so underwhelming for $22 and didn't come with any sides. We opted for the $25 unlimited mimosa which was pretty good value since we each had more than 4 drinks. Washrooms were disappointing. 5/6 stalls ran out of toilet paper and I had to wait 10 mins for them to restock. Our service was okay. She came around a few times and made sure our drinks were topped. Wheelchair accessible friendly. Limited parking. Easily accessible by public transit.

Yelp
I came to Oretta on a Thursday night with a friend. Even though we had reservations, the restaurant was not very busy. Oretta is beautifully styled from the ceiling, right down to the napkins. You can immediately tell that so much thought went into decorating it. They also have a large patio, with additional seating, right at the front. Our server was kind, patient and not at all overbearing. We went during happy hour, and had a few cocktails for $10. We also ordered pizzetta, calamari and pappardelle with bolognese. I would give the restaurant 3.5 stars because the food is sub-par. The portions are small for the price and the flavour is lacking. There were about 9 pappardelle in the entire plate, and the calamari were a bit soggy.

Yelp
Pricey pasta but tasted amazing! We made a reservation for two people at 5pm. Service was great and our server was very friendly! We ordered and shared the Cacio Pepe, Branzino, and the Ravioli for our entrees. Cacio Pepe was made al denté which I liked and found very unique, along with the creaminess and great taste. Portion was slightly small but I would still order it again. It was also pretty cool that they finished it off in front of us by cooking it in a big cheese wheel prior to serving it to us. The ravioli was also just as great! The filling and pieces of truffle on top made the pasta taste very unique. I would also order it again. Branzino tasted good but wasn't outstanding since I had better. I wouldn't order it again and would rather order something else. Also, for dessert we got the tiramisu which they made their own modern twist to it. It was pretty much an espresso gelato with pieces of cake on it. Very yummy and perfect for finishing the experience! Overall very romantic ambiance with very yummy food

Yelp
The reviews are pretty accurate - nice ambiance drinks and servers - the food is just okay for the price. I did like the portion sizes a lot though, so that was a positive. We came in a group of 3 and ordered 2 pizzas, a pasta, and calamari to share. The calamari was a bit too salty for my taste but I liked the shishito peppers in them. The pizzas were good according to my friends, and I liked my pasta a lot. I wouldn't come here again as I feel like there wasn't anything too special about it.

Yelp
This review is strictly for the Too Good to Go experience in the bakery section. The window for pick up is too small. The day I had placed an order, there were multiple deaths/accidents on public transport with 2 massive lines and street car services blocked. I tried calling Oretta a million times to inform them but no one picked up the phone. I still ran to the restaurant and was 1 min late for pick up. To be honest, I wasn't even late. The lady behind the register was busy on her phone and was changing in or out of her clothes I couldn't tell if she was packing up or had just arrived. So, as I waited there to be helped, the pick up window had closed. She just told me I can't get the food anymore and that was TGTG's policy. The staff was totally unhelpful, could not even articulate herself properly with an explanation and kept saying no, sorry no you cannot get the food. Made zero attempt to even locate the food. She we already threw it away .... which is untrue because as I walked away, I saw my order was being offered for pick up the day after to someone else. It isn't the fact that I spent the money which is non-refundable but that some of us truly want to rescue the food from ending up in the trash. If they had answered their phone and told me that don't bother rushing over, I wouldn't have ran 48 mins to get there.

Yelp
Great happy hour (aperitivo) until 7pm! They have lots of food items ranging in price from $6-15 for happy hour. We got the croquettes, fried artichoke, a pizza, and calamari. The server was kind and grated extra Parmesan on our pizza. Everything was freshly made and tasted good. The servers refilled our water multiple times even though it was busy, and gave a complimentary almond cookie with a candle for my birthday. Interior is very nice, with high ceilings. Washrooms are upstairs, there is also a large event space there. Will come back!

Yelp
I was definitely a bit hesitant to come here due to all the mixed reviews, but I enjoyed my time at Oretta. This is a beautiful restaurant, definitely perfect for a date night or special occasion. We arrived around 5pm, just about when they start their dinner service. Thankfully it wasn't too busy when we arrived, but it picked up a lot later on in the evening. I would make sure to book a reservation just in case. The servers were also very friendly and came every so often to check on us and refill our water. Perhaps because it wasn't too busy on a Wednesday night, but I appreciate the attentiveness. Although we came during Aperitivo hour, we didn't order any of the happy hour dishes. I thought it might be better to stick to the full sized plates as those are probably more indicative of the quality of Oretta. We opted for the: - Cacio e Pepe (4/5) Ravioli al Tartufo (5/5) - Branzino (4/5) All were great and we polished them off quickly. The Cacio e Pepe is also prepared tableside and put in a cheese wheel, which is a great little show in addition to dinner. They do ask if you would like additional pepper and parmesan, and of course, how could you say no? The Ravioli al Tartufo was perfect, each piece about the length of a dumpling with a delicious ricotta filling. The earthiness of the truffle and mushroom pairs beautifully with the ravioli. I also enjoyed the branzino, which had a nice, crisp skin but still moist and flaky. It could have used a touch more salt but I still enjoy the natural flavours of the fish. To finish off dinner, we ordered the modern tiramisu, which is essentially cubed cake, their coffee gelato, and marscarpone cream on top. It was absolutely delicious, but I feel like the cake to cream ratio is a bit cream-heavy. However, that coffee gelato is to die for, for someone who is not a coffee drinker. I would definitely come back for their dessert and another selection of their pasta!

Yelp
An authentic Italian restaurant with art-deco themed interior. Cosy interiors and great ambiance. We had the Brazziano ( fish was done perfect, the presentation and the sides could have been better). The gnocchi and ravioli were excellent. Service was efficient and professional without being overly noteworthy.

Yelp
This place has gorgeous decor/interior! Large space and great for larger groups. Theres back area for morning pastry, or the main area for dine in. Bathrooms are upstairs. You'll get a lovely view of the restaurant from the 2nd floor. The food is tasty. The drinks we've tired aren't overly sweet.

Yelp
This restaurant is located along the King West corridor - lots to see and do, and plenty of entertainment in the area. The restaurant is very aesthetic and well designed, and service is friendly. That being said, the food was a little disappointing - small portion sizes, noodles for our pastas were not fully cooked, and the meal was average/ below average taste.
google avatar

Reh L.

Yelp
Oretta consistently underwhelms. I've gone a few times over the past few years and been disappointed every single time. It's one problem really - the food sucks and is way overpriced. I admit the vibe / decor is nice, and the service is generally friendly, but that's about it. Today I came in and first of all there was a dead fly on the napkin. I'm not going to nitpick too much as it's not a Michelin star restaurant but it was literally sitting right on top of the napkin. Next we ordered some happy hour drinks, which were actually quite nice - we liked the limoncello spritz and the white wine sangria. For food we tried the pasta ($15), burger ($12), and pizza ($12). These are all appetizer size portions - in fact the burger was barely the size of a slider so it was anything but happy. The pasta was an unusual take on lasagna, the edges were crispy but it was basically macaroni-esque noodles and the sauce was bland. The burger lacked any flavor whatsoever and was small. The pizza - the mushrooms were decent but the dough is so dry you can barely even chew the crust. Obviously I found the food disappointing. We tried another round of drinks, the rose was nice (so nice we got it twice) and the lambrusco was ok. The servers were pretty friendly but I ended up being charged for an extra glass of rose. It was probably an honestly mistake, but then again it's not that hard to count to 2. Unfortunately I can never eat here again.

Yelp
Well done start to finish here. Bads were the overall 'tightly packed' and the service but it was V-Day so cut some slack. Greats were food, value, and the variety of options to order from. Next time, Chef's tasting menu for sure.
google avatar

Fabian R.

Yelp
The dessert menu for me is excellent, very delicious and perfect presentation, the flavour is excellent too.

Yelp
The food was so delicious, the terrace was nice with good music and the staff were friendly I definitely will go back when I go back to Toronto loved it

Yelp
Great Happy Hour options here! $6, $9 and $12 drink options here during happy hour. The drinks here are solid at their price points. Their menu items are also pretty good, however, do expect smaller portions for happy hour. We came here and shared a bunch of apps, food items that were quite small in size but great as a little nibble. Calamari is great, could be a little more fried for a better crisp. Pasta came in a small portion. Bruschetta came in two pieces. Pizzas are definitely tiny and can be shared with 4, each getting a tiny slice. Ambiance here is always great and what I look forward to the most. I wouldn't say the food here is the best, but it gets the work done in satisfying your stomach. One thing to note was that our server/ manager? at the end of our meal was definitely a little odd and made us feel very uncomfortable. He definitely wasn't wearing the same thing as the servers, so our party thought maybe he was a manager trying to be super friendly and didn't execute it the right way. Regardless, it's a great hang out spot after work with some colleagues if you're in the area.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The ambiance is 5/5, the service is 2.5/5 and the food was 2/5 stars. The service was incredibly slow. At one point we didn't see our server for 20 minutes. They have a good happy hour but the food was not great. We had the shrimp (small and the sauce that came with it was not good), the burrata (which is not burrata it is just regular mozzarella), the pizza is okay, the fried carbonara was the only good thing we got. The table side cacio de Pepe is good for pics, but taste wise very average. The meatball app is not good. It almost tasted like chef boyardee. It's a cute place to grab a HH cocktail, but I wouldn't eat there again.

Yelp
(Last visited 2/13/2022.) Hanging out in Toronto for Valentine's Day weekend and you know that we BRUNCH! So when we went hunting for bottomless mimosas in the area we landed on Oretta! So here's how things went! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is located right downtown so you'll need to find a place on the street or a parking structure to put your fly ride. The exterior of this place looks just as grand as the inside! It's amazing. There's quite a few tables outside for outdoor dining during the warmer months. Once inside you're just thrown into a grand venue. It looks almost like a freaking church or wedding ballroom in here. The ceilings feel like they're 25 feet tall. There's swooping arches, mirrors everywhere and just so much grandness in here. I loved it. The high ceiling and open floor plan certainly also help diminish the noise level from everyone talking. Service: I can't remember the guy's name that took care of us, but he was AWESOME. He was handsome, efficient, sweet, make excellent recommendations and made our brunch experience just that much better. Food: So of course we're here for the bottomless mimosas so we made sure to indulge in those! You only get 90 minutes so make sure to pace yourself! For my entrée I went with the Tagliata De Manzo which is a 6 oz. flatiron steak served next to crisp potatoes all underneath fried eggs and black truffle shavings. It was delicious. All the flavors were straightforward. Everything tasted natural and not over seasoned. The black truffle shavings were much lighter than I had expected, but added an excellent accent flavor. After that we were presented with some bombolones! They're fluffy, cream filled (could be a variety of flavors, but one of ours was chocolate and one was a strawberry flavor), grapefruit-sized balls coasted with a dusting of sugar. They were absolutely delicious. These were my favorite part of the brunch and they were an excellent sweet finish. Value: (All values in $CAD.) As an American coming over to Canada, almost everything feels like a deal of some sort. Lol. So to go bottomless it's gonna be $28.00. That's excellent if you're a drinker. My entrée was $30.00 and the bombolones were $6.00 a piece. Everything is absolutely worth it. It's a bit of a fancier place so you'll have to pay to play, but again, worth the experience. When I'm in town again, I'm surely going to make time for this place. I had a great time here and I'm sure that you will too!

Yelp
Nice place, nice staff, nice atmosphere Food is consistently awful. I've been a few times and always assume it's an off night. But I've officially decided I'm over it. Last night, I had the Paccheri Norma and the noodles were in small shards. It was like eating pasta confetti. It's an easy location, nice, somewhere to go but if you're looking for a good meal to talk about, this isn't it.
google avatar

Krista F.

Yelp
First off, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. From the decor, seating, bar, etc. however, their food is okay. The calamari was okay, would've been better if it was fried and crispy. The gnocchi, although beautifully done, the taste just wasn't there. The sauce hardly had any taste and it was okay. The redeeming part was dessert. The dessert was divine and I'd go back there just for that. Our server was very lovely and I have no complaints

Yelp
Food-wise probably 4 star but overall experience was great. Very picturesque place-- indoor and outdoor. Definitely seems like a brunch spot with the aesthetics. Ordered pizza, calamari, brocollini, and salad. Highlight is probably calamari for me.
google avatar

Angela F.

Yelp
This review is for the sandwiches I got at the cafe. The cafe is located in the alley beside the main entrance of the restaurant. The sandwich bread was their house made focaccia. It was fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. And it was packed with meat! I had stored leftover in the fridge and it still tasted great toasted the next day. The only thing is both sandwiches were on the saltier side. Something acidic or sweet like tomatoes would help balance the flavours.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
I visited Oretta for their apertivo/happy hour some drinks and bites in the late afternoon. We got the fried artichokes and calamari, as well as the white and red sangrias, botanist Negroni and a beer. The fried artichokes were lovely. very crispy outer layer with a tender core and nicely balanced between the saltiness and acidity. The calamari was tender and different from usual fried calamari dishes which are fried with a crispy coating, this one was lightly dusted with flour. I found this one to be a bit lacking in salt. We enjoyed all our drinks except the red sangria. The cocktails are generally mixed well and taste good, and we really appreciated the scents of the drinks which were amplified with the slices of fresh fruit. Not sure what went into the red sangria but it had a sour fruit flavour that honestly tasted a bit like the condo garbage room.
google avatar

Vardaan G.

Yelp
The food is a bit too salty for my liking. But its a perfect choice for date night! The service was decent!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
The good: I came here for brunch and it was my second time coming here. The place is beautiful with art deco walls, high ceilings and chic furniture. The server was amazingly attentive and caring. She frequently checked up on us and offered us cappuccinos that were gonna go to waste from a wrong order. A special place to be for memorable conversations over brunch. The bad: The food was a bit underwhelming. I ordered the scrambled eggs with truffle and burrata. For the price you're paying ($24), I think you could find better food elsewhere, otherwise you're really paying for the ambiance.

Yelp
We were going to Oretta to check out their Summerlicious menu, but after we saw their regular menu, we just had to try that instead! Carciofi Fritti - crispy and buttery and tart artichoke perfection. There are only three pieces; order two of these if you don't want to share! Panzanella di Mare - for non-salad lovers, this is a good option; it's full of shrimp and squid and mussels and the only leaves were basil and mint! Agnolotti - the absolute star of the show! Gorgeous flavour, great texture! The soft pillows of agnolotti contrasted beautifully with the pistachios and the guanciale. Torta di Limone - this is perfect to split in half! A sweet-but-not-too sweet dessert. Between two people, this amount of food was perfect. Our bill came to $100 for everything. Shout-out to our hard-working server, Antonio, for the A+ recommendations.

Yelp
had to wait a while to be seated even with our reservation. then was taken to a tiny table squished between two other parties when the restaurant was near empty. server took a long time to come greet us and bring water. when we asked her a question she reacted like we were asking her to do a backflip. food came out cold. my friend got eggs that looked off and not well cooked. had to send it back. server was also condescending when we asked about one of the menu options.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Loved my mushroom pizza! Ambiance was lovely, enjoyed the flower theme. Wait staff was super friendly. Worth a visit!

Nick M.

Yelp
10/10 would not recommend this place. Overhyped for undercooked and under seasoned food. To make it worse, our servers spoke to my partner and I twice during our entire meal. We spent close to 60 dollars for two entrees and a coffee each and we ended up going to a sandwich shop to get food as we were still very hungry. I had such high hopes for this place but I don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
Been here a few times and tried their brunch and happy hour. They've got a large spot but be sure to make reservations. It's a really cute aesthetic inside so you can try and grab a table or sit at the bar. The brunch was mediocre but none of us got the pizzas. However, the happy hour is pretty great. There's lots of options and you can end up having a full meal with Prosecco for ~$20. The pizzas are delicious and they make decent cocktails too. They also have some amazing bombolones, which you can also pick up at their cafe next door.

Yelp
This is a cute Italian ristorante. Our waiter was Sarah. She was so nice and thoughtful. Our service was great! We all had pizza. I had the pimonte pizze. It was filling, for cocktails I had the fiora which was a great option if you like your drinks sweet. I shared a tiramisu and gelato for dessert. The ambiance is chic, service great, food is tasty. My only con during the experience is that the dessert (tiramisu) was overpowered with cocoa powder.

Yelp
Yes, the decor is very nice and aesthetically pleasing, but the food and drinks are even better. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great - very open, with part of the restaurant front completely open, leading to the bustling King Street and a cute little patio. Their food is Italian fare and Oretta does it well. Mondays to Fridays between 4pm and 7pm is Apertivo hour! At $6, $9, and $11 each, Oretta offers quite a few options for food and drinks. Of course, their regular menu is also available as well! We ordered the Canestri Al Pomodoro (house made pasta with tomato sauce, basil, and straciatella), the Pizzetta Burrata, and the Pizzetta Piemonte (mixed mushroom, truffle crema, fior di latte, and fontina), along with some drinks. The pizzas were the perfect personal size and the bites of pasta was great to share. For a happy hour size, it was a lot of food! The Pizzetta Burrata came with a lot of Burrata and the mixed mushroom with the truffle crema on the Piemonte was amazing. We visited on a Friday evening and while both the dining room and patio was at full capacity, the servers were great and attentive. Oretta also serves brunch! We enjoyed every part of our visit and can't wait to be back to check out their brunch service and to spend many more happy hours there.

Yelp
We were here for friend gathering and fried couple of brunch dishes, which are all prefect! I like my avocado toast and they can make the scrambled eggs instead of water poached one. Everything can be adjusted based on your preference. The waiter is very welcomed and make you feel at home. I really like the vibes and indoors decorations. Each space is separated but interconnected as well! Have to mention their bathrooms upstairs, very organized and

Yelp
Lunchtime on a Tuesday was relatively quiet, but there were still quite a few people who came in and out during the time we were there. The interior is spacious and very bright; the patio space looks quite nice as well if you enjoy dining outside! We had ordered two of the salads (both of which were good!) and they took a little longer than expected but the service was so kind and offered us a drink on the house. Will definitely return here if I am ever in the area!

Yelp
This place is a little over hyped. Fusarros Kitchen nearby was better. The Ravioli E Funghi was good but greasy overall and not in a good way. Probably a 3.5/5 The margarita pizza was pretty bland which was super disappointing. Probably a 2/5 Service was prompt even when going without reservation but we never got the Parmesan or chili flakes we asked for Many better Italian options nearby like amazing Fussaro so go there instead

Yelp
Oretta is such a beautiful restaurant! The reason I was initially attracted to this place was because of the beautiful interior design. It really stands out from every other restaurant in Toronto for that very reason. I was even more excited when I learned that Oretta serves Italian food (one of my favorite cuisines)! I decided to come here with a friend for their happy hour around 5:30. It was so well priced and I was soooo stoked to try out a bunch of different items from their menu. We tried out the calamari, tagliere misto, pizzetta la Parma, and pizzetta burratta. We also ordered a glass of wine and Prosecco. The portion sizes for all of these food items were PERFECT for sharing between 2-4 people. Our favorite was the pizzetta burratta, the sauce and the cheese were AMAZING. Everything else was good too, but the food came out a little cold. Besides that, I really enjoyed the atmosphere overall. On a random note, they were playing pop-ish music, but I think something sultry may have been more fitting.

Yelp
We were that happy hour table.. I had heard (and made note of) that happy hour was good here. Special pricing in categories for items. We took that menu and ran with it.. The server was gracious considering we never strayed from it (it's quite big). We tried quite a few things - I appreciated the smaller amounts which almost made it seem tapas in quantity. All the food and drinks were delicious and we were able to sample quite a few options. Love the ambience and decor of this place in general and would happily return for happy hour again (and maybe something else off the menu)..

Yelp
We went to Oretta on King West in early Fall when their patio opened. We've tried some drinks and food from their happy hour menu [Aperitivo 4-7 menu] and added on a few dishes from their regular menu. We enjoyed the veal meat balls and fried artichokes. They came in a good portion. However we weren't happy with the rest of the meal or service either. The grilled octopus was a bit off and the steak was too dry and medium when we asked for medium-rare. The Agnolotti was small and wasn't the dish that we wanted to try. We showed the server a picture of this dish when we were ordering. It was supposed to be Orecchiette Alle Cime Di Rapa My friends were ok with it so we tried it anyway. We heard good things at Oretta. Hopefully, it will be a better experience next time. I'm thinking of checking out their Midtown location for the next visit. FOOD - Polpette, veal meatballs (4/5) - Carciofi Fritti, fried artichokes (4/5) - Polipo, grilled Spanish octopus (3/5) - Agnolotti Guanciale E Legumi, pasta (3/5) - Bistecca do Manzo, 12oz prime striploin (3/5) SERVICE (3/5) OVERALL (3.5)

Yelp
I've been meaning to check out Oretta for a while especially after being recommeded a number of times by friends. We made reservations ahead of time for 2 people at around 6 on a Saturday. We showed up a bit early but they still honoured the reso since there was availability. We had options to dine indoors, on the street patio, or the side patio (right outside the Oretta Caffe). We sat at the side patio for a little bit more privacy away from the street. For food we started with the Bruschetta, and ordered the Pappardelle Alla Bolognese and the Risotto Cacio Pepe as entrees. We also shared a Hugo cocktail. The bruschetta had nice fresh flavours and was a nice way to start off the meal. Although, I would've preferred if the toppings (tomatoes, basil etc.) were chopped smaller to make it easier to eat. The Pappardelle was a classic meat sauce pasta recommended by our waitress and was indeed very classic. Standard rustic flavours with an al dente pappardelle pasta, but no wow factor. The Risotto was once again a classic dish that was rich but not overwhelming. Although the amount of cracked pepper was definitely noticeable. The service was fantastic and our waitress was very friendly and personable. Definitely made us feel very welcomed. Overall, was a great experience and loved the atmosphere. The food was fresh and tasty but nothing to write home about. Will definitely be back to try out other dishes!

Yelp
Had a great Friday night apertivo hour! Came for the happy hour that starts from 4pm and ends at 7pm. My only regret was not ordering more mushroom pizza. The fungi pizza was excellent. We tried a number of things from the 4-7 menu. They included the calamari, fried artichokes, mushroom pizza, Parma pizza, veal meatballs, pasta, and some drinks. If it's not obvious already I recommend the fungi pizza and calamari. The fungi pizza had great flavour and packed a punch with the added fungus on top. The calamari was chunky and easy to share. I liked that the bite size chunks of it. I can assure you that you are getting some kind of substance in them rather than an extended fried ball of dough. The veal meatball was a close call. Veal is generally lean and it was cooked to where it was just right and anymore it would be dry. The sauce that accompanied the meatball was delicious, so that was an added bonus. Dishes I probably won't order again include the artichoke and pasta. The pastas sauce was a bit too tart for me. The artichoke I felt was flavourful but I would have preferred larger chunks. Overall I had a great time. I loved that the server could explain every dish to us and provided exceptional service. I will return! Happy hour is 4-7 Monday to Friday in case you're wondering.

Yelp
I had an amazing dinner experience at Oretta King West. When we arrived our server was kind enough to let us know we can still catch the end of their Happy Hour. At those prices, you have to take advantage! Our server continued to be just lovely and had wonderful suggestions for us. I ordered the Bucatini Alla Carbonara, and I was absolutely smitten. It was very rich and creamy, definitely a must try. I will be back to try their lunch menu. Between the food, amazing service, and dreamy decor - it's such a nice vibe.

Yelp
Came to Oretta for a private birthday dinner. There is a long dining space in the back of the restarurant that is booked off for private events. The menu was pre-set but we were able to choose our choice of mains. Appetizers included cheese and meat board as well as a burrata/salami dish. The steak main was cooked very well and the crispy potatoes side was a huge hit! Tiramisu was very disappointing for a Italian restaurant, no hint of mascarpone cheese and the lady fingers were barely soaked in coffee. Nothing too special in terms of food, nice ambience but overall, a slightly overpriced and overrated spot for dinner.
