Oretta Midtown

We visited for brunch and had a really great experience — the food was delicious, especially the French toast and salmon avocado, and the atmosphere was beautiful and inviting. They were quite busy, so our drinks arrived a little after the food, but it wasn’t a big deal considering how much we enjoyed everything else. We had also visited once for dinner in the past. While the service and ambiance were still great, the food during dinner wasn’t as impressive compared to brunch. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for brunch and definitely worth visiting. Based on both experiences, I would give it 4 stars.

First time for me today not the first time for my friend. We did arrive about 15 minutes before the end of happy hour we were seated very quickly but it took a while for someone to actually come and ask for our order so it came very close to happy hour ending and still nobody came. My friend had to flag someone down and let them know that we've been waiting for a while the young lady apologized and served us really well I do appreciate her attentiveness very sweet girl. The food was good the atmosphere was nice it's a very good place. I was a little loud but that's only because the people around us were loud. We will definitely come back again I just hope this time we will be attended to quicker that's all.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Oretta Midtown for a lunch meeting and was thoroughly impressed with their outstanding menu and vibrant atmosphere. The food selection is incredible, offering authentic Italian dishes that truly capture the essence of Italy. I returned with my siblings and their spouses – a group of 8 – and once again, Oretta delivered an unforgettable dining experience. From the handmade pastas to the perfectly crafted pizzas, every dish was a standout. The wine suggestions were spot on, complementing each course beautifully. The service was attentive, the ambiance lively yet comfortable, and the overall experience left us more than satisfied. Oretta Midtown has truly mastered the art of authentic Italian dining, making it a must-visit spot in Toronto. Looking forward to my next visit!

I had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant! The service was amazing — our server, Adam, was very attentive, he made sure we felt comfortable and helped us with all our questions. The Wi-Fi connection here is also strong, which was a nice bonus! Another server, was also incredibly sweet and offered to take a Polaroid picture of us — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! Thank you for making our visit so special. I’ll definitely be coming back, while visiting Toronto next time!

We had the best server ever - Taryn!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was exceptional, and the service was beyond incredible. Our server Taryn went above and beyond—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. She made sure every detail was perfect, from recommendations to refills, and their positive energy truly enhanced our experience. The food? Phenomenal. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.

My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Oretta Midtown a few nights ago, and what made the night truly unforgettable was our server, Luca. From the moment we sat down, Luca went above and beyond—not just in service, but in creating a connection that made us feel welcomed, seen, and celebrated. He has a rare presence that elevates the entire experience. The food was incredible, yes—but it was Luca who made the evening feel personal and memorable. I returned tonight with my mother-in-law for a special occasion. I made a note in our OpenTable reservation requesting Luca again, and sure enough, he greeted us like family. He not only remembered me, he topped the night off with a beautiful surprise dessert to celebrate the evening. It’s gestures like that which transform a great dinner into something we’ll be talking about for a long time. To Oretta’s leadership: you have a star on your hands. I hope this is just the beginning of a long and rewarding chapter with your brand. Looking forward to supporting him and the Oretta team wherever he goes next.

Oretta in Midtown is such a great addition to an otherwise quiet stretch of Davisville. The place is gorgeous—especially the patio, which they can enclose if it gets a bit chilly patio is bright and adorned with beautiful faux flowers. Brunch and happy hour are my favorite things here. The brunch menu has awesome options (breakfast with Italian twist of course), and the portions are huge. The happy hour (aka appertivo) is amazing too—great prices and solid portions/ options, it’s a lot of fun to pop in after work on a weeknight! I’ve also dined here for a friends birthday dinner (everything was excellent). Be sure to grab some fresh pastries before you head home!!

Ordered a bunch of mains to share and everything was 5/5, such a lovely spot for dinner! We started off with drinks from the happy hour menu and decided it would be better to order mains to share since the dishes on the happy menu come in smaller portions. The Cavatelli with Vodka had a lovely texture which soaked up the delicious sauce. The calamari at Oretta was delish - perfectly crispy and a crowd favourite!
