Kerry & Greg were superb hosts and very pleasant to deal with. The accommodation has lots of character and is set in a beautiful spacious garden. It just takes a minute to feel at home. Cooked breakfast was one of the best I have had in a B&B. Bedroom is on the small side when you have large suitcases and bathroom is slightly cramped as well, but altogether I would definitely return.

Completely unexpected surprise, we booked last minute as we found ourselves travelling through and it ended up a highlight of our holiday. The room was cosy and stunning and the grounds were lovely! Our hosts were most accommodating and very welcoming. 11/10

This hotel is a time travel: you forget what year it is and where you are! The old stone building with incredibly cute and comfortable rooms. On top of that, Kerry and Greg serve a breakfast in style! Kerry makes jams, chutneys and many other delicious things out of fruit and vegetables they grow in the hotel’s garden. Attention to details, impeccable everything! Very high standards! Thank you, Kerry and Greg! We’ll be back. P.S. Recommend!!!

My friend and I were bike-packing down the east coast of Tasmania for a week and stayed at the family-run Sanda House for a night to relieve our dishevelled and ruined bodies. Fiona and Peter were incredibly accommodating and friendly, allowing us the use of their laundry for our gross peasant rags, and the breakfast they provided was home cooked and delicious. The accomodation itself was so warm and cosy, and the building was of beautiful colonial-era stone construction with original furnishings and everything. Coffee, tea, chocolate and biscuits were all provided, along with a communal sitting room with a fire, books, board games, and even complimentary glasses of Port! I highly recommend staying here, the hospitality and attention to detail was amazing. 👌🏻

Google
Brief stop only but it is historic being the oldest Colonial building in Orford and is described as "Orford's Sanda House is an adorable stone cottage, the oldest building in Orford, and is heritage listed. It was built between 1838 and 1840 from local field rocks and sandstone". Yes it looked old, well maintained.

Spectacular! We stayed in the old post room with the fireplace and I have never slept in a cosier room. Our breakfast was delicious and Sandra was an exceptional host. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Stayed 2 nights with another couple/friends. Sanda House is a beautiful B&B - the rooms were lovely and very comfortable, breakfast was great, and hosts Greg and Kerry are a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome - it was a pleasure to stay here. Would highly recommend staying here.

Wow! This is a hidden gem in Orford! You really must try to get a room here if visiting the area! The room was immaculate with such beautiful history. Breakfast was absolutely incredible. We had the frittata and truffle eggs - amazing! There was also homemade jams from their fruit tree and freshly baked bread. Worth every cent! Thank you so much for being so welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Truly amazing B&B in Orford. This is a historic home with charming hosts. The owners have paid every attention to detail in restoring this delightful B&B. These cost self contained rooms feel like they could be on the set of downtown abbey.
