Orient Experience

We used to come to this place when it still had a different name (but very similar menu). We love the place with the equivalent name which is located in the north part of Venice. The menu offers a lot different options of Mediterranean food. The presentation used to be more appealing but I suspect the current one, more rational, is also more hygienic. There's a few seats outdoor in one of the largest and luckiest squares Venice had to offer. A big tent allowed us to eat outdoor even if there was some rain and we loved that. The indoor option looked less appealing. Food was good with incredibly generous portions. A bis will feed most people. I would have preferred my dish (rice with lamb & aubergines) to be a bit warmer. I personally appreciated that the tzatziki had no garlic. It felt a bit weird to have a fork of plastic and a k ice of wood.

AAA+ place in venice to have great middle eastern taste in great atmosphere and amazing staff. I loved the decoration. Highly recommend it for a quick escape from pasta and pizza 👌🏻

The three of us had some really amazing dishes. Really exceptional food and great price. I highly recommend this place. Everyone’s plate was empty including ours.

Great place to eat especially if you want a break from pizza and pasta. To the Karen who said that they microwave their food, yeah duh! It takes hours to prepare a good curry! All of this would have been prepared earlier in the day.

I had a very disappointing Orient experience today. I've eaten in the restaurant twice before and loved it! That's why I went into Venice today with high expectations. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open in the afternoon even though it said so online. We were instead referred to their take away next door. I understand that it isn't the same as the restaurant but it went from amazing to awful. The food was cold since the guy only warmed it in the oven for about a minute, and served on paper plates with wooden disposable cutlery. The worst part was that the staff member obviously had a bad cold and shouldn't have been working. He was coughing and sniffling loudly throughout our whole visit and even worse, picked some of the food up with his hands and put it back into the cantine after it had fallen on the side. He then continued to have a loud conversation on his phone while we were eating and on top of that let out a loud burp. It was really unprofessional behaviour. The food is good but to serve it cold like that is unworthy the restaurants name. I was so disappointed. I'm reluctant to go there again but will give Orient experience one more chance in the future. In the meantime I suggest that you avoid their takeout section to spare yourself the disappointment.

Now off season we were in the restaurant alone and it's a shame. There is vegan, vegetarian and meat food on the menu so there is something for everyone. It tasted great. The surroundings could perhaps use a little repair but the atmosphere is pleasant. I recommend it!

If you r vegan and don’t know what to eat in Venice this place is def for you! They don’t have a lot of vegan options, around 4-5 dishes. But these 4-5 dishes probably were the best dishes I’ve ever tried. It was incredibly amazing. 100% recommend for visiting!
