The sushi prices here are great and the service is always amazing. Earlier today we took our 6 year old son and the owner took the time to explain each fish to him at the sushi counter when he wanted to see the fish. That was soooooo sweet. This was our 2nd time in and the value is unbeatable compared to other places. We will be back!

I wasn’t super impressed I've been to better all-you-can-eat sushi spots. The food didn’t taste as fresh, the portions were huge and it felt a bit pricier than others. The vibe was decent though not too noisy, nice temperature inside, but service was kind of slow.

I've ordered out more times than I can count and always enjoyed my food. Last night, my husband and I decided to sit in after a long day of working outside in the heat, and it was a great experience! The sushi was fresh and delicious, and our waiter was very attentive. The prices were also terrific for the quality of sushi! Can't wait to go back :)

I've been coming to Orient Sushi & Grill for 6years now and this is still my favorite place to come to. Notice I said 'come to', it's because right now I'm here and loving it!!! Such a welcoming atmosphere. Favorite is the noodles, avocado rolls and of course the sake bombers!! ❤️ I hope you visit and enjoy this lovely place like I do!

Excellent place for sashimi . The fish is fresh . The entrees are also delicious. Service is great . We thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back soon .

Came in for a quick lunch. Was really relaxing and the food was delicious! Prices were also great for the portion sizes. Didn't get sushi this time, so that's my excuse to come back very soon.

Fresh and delicious sushi at a VERY affordable price. I ordered the AYCE sushi option and happened to pop in during a drink special. The service was impeccable. Andy was very friendly, attentive and incredibly helpful. The sushi chefs were on their A-game and all the employees created the kind of welcoming atmosphere that you’d hope for in a favorite neighborhood sushi spot. I will be back.

Orient is super busy any day after 6pm and there's a good reason for it! The sushi is made fresh (ALL YOU CAN EAT) and is delicious! Even the platters you can get in the all you can eat menu are delicious! The Mongolian beef hits the spot every single time! That being said, if you come when it's busy, expect to be waiting quite some time for drinks or food. The kitchen gets backed up quickly. Especially if there's a big table seated while you eat. Definitely worth the wait though and I do recommend!

I've never tried this place before, but I had a late night craving for Pad Thai and Orient was open. For the amount of time (almost an hour) they took preparing it, you'd think it would be good. It was actually not good... at all. It tasted very sweet and gloppy, and had no authentic Pad Thai spices to be found (or taste). I've never understood when Sushi or Japanese places try to offer Thai food but provide something that is clearly not authentic Thai.

Everything was top tier. The quality of the fish is amazing and the prices are also unmatched. The Orient Roll was literally only $9 and it is one of the best rolls I've had in Arizona. I've been to a lot of sushi places around the valley and I can definitely say that Orient is my number one go to :3 The chicken teriyaki was also really good and juicy. I got to-go and they pack the sashimi / cold sushi dishes WITH AN ICE PACK to keep the food fresh. I've never been to another sushi place thats this attentive. The staff are SUPER friendly and make you feel like family. I would definitely recommend this place for people to try out!!

One of the best places in the east valley, everything on the menu is delicious! We've been going there 1-2 times a week for the past 5 years and can't say enough good things about it, the staff and service is amazing - Tony is the best!

Food and service was amazing definitely coming back !! Food came out in less than 20-25 mins and they are constantly checking in on you regardless of they are busy :)

Love their sushi combos that they offer. The salmon skin roll is delicious. Lots of options for kiddos and/or non sushi folks.

Anotherfantastic experience at Orient Sushi Grill. The sushi was fresh and delicious shrimp spicy chowmain that I highly recommend. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Went here for lunch AYCE. Tamago tasted sour, squid tasted very old. Rice was flavorless and sticky hard to chew. Presentation, taste, price (even compared to LA inflated prices) all really bad. Fish to rice ratio of 1:5. First time spitting out food while eating sushi, and was even ready to pay for leftover fees. Very disappointing.

We dropped in to satisfy a craving for sushi and we were NOT disappointed. The rolls were fresh and made to order. The rolls were displayed nicely on the plates. Service was interesting, but attentive. The restaurant was very busy and that's always a good sign. They are pricey but worth it if you enjoy an all you can eat sushi experience. The place has a family vibe and looked clean.

We specifically came here for the AYCE sashimi option. It did not disappoint at all. The others in my party did the AYCE sushi. Note the prices have increased...no surprise with inflation these days. The server was friendly and the kitchen was sending things out quickly. We were running out of space on the table for our stuff lol. I have no complaints about the service and they were very hospitable. The food was great. The fish tasted fresh. Lots of options on the menu. I would recommend you know how much you can really eat before doing AYCE option. I probably would have been better off just ordering the sashimi deluxe from menu. I ordered too much and got charged for what was left because I didn't want to waste it. I knew this would happen so I am not complaining, but just want others to be aware of this policy. The restaurant is clean but it seems a little dated. On busy nights, it gets crowded fast. On this night, there weren't too many guests so it was pleasant.

Great restaurant- some of the best Sushi ever! Been here 15+ years. Good service- good prices... safe pick for quality food!

This is my husband's birthday weekend. Since we're at an age where we don't need anything, I plan out little adventures for us to remember. Our first stop was at a Japanese garden After touring what else could we do but of course eat sushi. We've been dining here since it opened many years ago. This has always been our go to for special date nights or family go to for sushi. Everything about this place is incredible. From the comfortable, welcoming vibe of the decor to the friendly employees, Oriental Sushi has it right! Wait staff is always friendly. Our waitress tonight did not disappoint. She was spot on. Attentive, friendly, quick but didn't' rush us. We always order all you can eat. The prices have gone up like everything else but not by much. It is now $29.99. Will we be back.........absolutely!!!!

Omg, we live right near this restaurant and have eaten here several times. The food is always fantastic and I tried their Pad Thai (with chicken) tonight for the first time. It is SOOOOOO GOOD! Huge portion and really tasty. My husband ordered the House Special fried rice and he said it was amazing. You need to try this place if you haven't.

Our go to sushi in Gilbert. Orient has great prices and good quality. We have gone so many times and try something different and have never had anything bad. Staff is awesome and does a great job.

This is probably the best place to go for Sushi - We live in Tucson and drive the hour and a half because it really is that good. Huge portions Friendly and attentive owners and staff! If you're looking for GREAT sushi this is your place!

I come here all the time with my family. Never have had any complaints. The food is wonderful we always love coming here. The service is amazing. Tony is our favorite he always is so nice and kind!

Food: Chicken Katsu 6/5 Crispy, juicy and satisfying Fried rice 4/5 Savory and filling, could have been more flavorful Drunken Noodles 6/5 The noodles are stretchy and chewy while the flavor is aromatic and fragrant Orange Chicken 3/5 Breast meat was too rubbery and the sticky sauce did not complement the bland chicken

My friends and I used to love this place - a reql hidden gem. Unfortunately, the gem is hidden no longer. The service and quality have gone downhill over the last 3 years. They're not as fast or as nice as they used to be, and last time we went, the server didn't even bring us water. However, I will say their food is always good, portions are large, and it's the only decent place in the valley to get all you can eat sashimi. I personally don't eat fish, so I like that my friends can get all you can eat sashimi or sushi without everyone else at the table being forced to buy the same thing. Overall, the ambiance is positive and casual, food is good, and it's worth going despite the poor service.

This is our new sushi spot. Very good sushi at a good price. Many different rolls to choose from. We have been here twice and will definitely be back. Very nice staff.

My son LOVES this place so do I and my husband. It's right next to our home. Foods are cheap and yummy. My husband favorite is cashew shrimp ( I hope it's correct). I like everything here. We are too spoiled for living next to the great place like this.

I always start with service. If I don't feel welcomed in a restaurant then it's an uphill battle to enjoy my stay. I've been to Orient Sushi Grill 5 or 6 times and EVERY time I've been treated like family. Their sushi, sashimi is sooo fresh. The chefs seem like artists in flavor. Every meal I've had there has been delicious, no exceptions. The inside of the restaurant is not special but it's clean and friendly.

This place is AMAZING. It's one of my favorite sushi spots in Arizona. They offer the "chandler roll", which is special because its sushi with baked salmon on top! The flavor is incredible. I order it every time I visit. The owners of the restaurant are also really nice, very friendly, and makes me feel very welcomed every time I visit. I would highly recommend this spot for any sushi lovers looking for a new location to try!

I really like to try out new sushi restaurants. But since finding this little gem. I can't seem to go anywhere else for sushi. Everyone here has a smiling face, and the food is fresh and sensational. A relatively small place, but they continually stay busy, any day of the week. During take out, I'm very impressed they package your order with a package of ice to keep your meal cool! This place does it right, from quality of food and service. You know they take pride in their restaurant.

Great sushi place with reasonable prices in Gilbert one of my coworkers is a regular here and he recommended this place. I have been here a couple of times with a large group and I was never disappointed. If you are in town and like sushi please try this place.

We've been coming to this place for the last 10 years because this place used to be good. The last few times we've been here, we've noticed both the quality of the food as well as the service has considerably decreased. The fish on the nigiri was warm, the cuts of the fish look like it was buttered, and the amount of rice is ridiculous so much so that the fish didn't even cover the rice. We won't be back.

Our family loves this restaurant and it's always our go to when we want Asian food and sushi. The food is always good, comes out quick and fresh. We go at least once or twice a month.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and it use to be very good food and service!! It is also close to our home. Now the only server that is very good, which is ( Tony ) and he does not work on Wednesday. I took my family there on my Granddaughter birthday on Wednesday and had the worst service from a older Asian lady that forgot everything and than had to be reminded her several time about our dinner and drinks. She forgot to bring out several of our orders and had to let her know about it. She act like she is mad a the world and lost in space. After the terrible service, she charge my credit card a 20% tips on a $200+ bill for crappy service we got from her. She did not ask me if it was OK to do so! The owner said that anytime there is more than five people in your party, that they charge the tip even if you get crappy service. I ready like the owners, but they need to changes there servers and policy on how to take care of their customers. If I go back to this restaurant I will leave if the put her with my family again. I do not minded paying someone a good tip if they earn it by taking care of us.

When we walked in, every table was full! That's a great sign. Very busy. We wanted to try a new sushi place, but it was nice to also get some other oriental food. Our server was very busy. It didn't seem like she had time to acknowledge us at all except to ask what we wanted to eat and bring us our food. She hardly responded to us when we spoke to her or said thank you. She was probably just so on auto pilot mode with how busy it had been, so I didn't let it affect our experience. She wasn't rude or anything like that. Just not quite friendly either haha. The sushi was so good. Loved the different rolls. Many named after Arizona cities. Cute. I would Definitely go back. Can't wait to!

Got a whole feast from here and tried it all. I actually think their Chinese food is a better choice than their sushi. I tried their salmon roll, their tuna roll, and their spicy tuna roll and it just wasn't satisfying. I didn't even enjoy their edamame (needed salt) or their seaweed salad (half of it was cucumber!). The sushi tasted subpar and so not worth it. But their beef lo mein and the beef with vegetables were delicious, and their wonton soup is, in my husband's words, "pretty decent." I actually think our favorite thing that we had was the shrimp shumai. The sauce it comes with is tasty! Overall, I recommend for their Chinese food takeout.

We REGULARLY order take out from here. And I cannot believe I haven't left a review. We love the sushi here and sometimes the rolls are too squished during transport but in the end... it's the flavor that matters!! We love their salmon and yellowtail and have been including albacore nigri to our order. We have had every roll and the only ones I pass on are spicy ones - I am not a fan of whatever spicy they use but it's tangy and unnecessary Overall - we have loved Orient since 2010 when my husband and I had our first date here.

Food was delicious, and tasted fresh. The katsu was very crispy and the serving sizes were big.

This restaurant is a great spot for a get together, because the vibes are friendly and lighthearted. The AYCE sushi and the lunch combos are both really good deals so they're my go to. My japanese mom was surprised by the quality of fish, she told me she liked the chirashi. The entree food comes in large portions, i had plenty to take home to eat for lunch the next day. The server and host was very friendly and fun to talk to. The owner of restaurant was very sweet also!! The prices on yelp are all a dollar or two more expensive than the menu so don't let that discourage you from trying some of the best sushi in the valley!!!!!

Went on a double date here with some family friends of ours . It's an all you can eat Sushi Grill . We really enjoyed the sushi and appetizers. The staff and service was great and so friendly. Definitely recommend getting there early as it got busy quickly, we definitely understood why. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh! I highly recommend the Hawaiian and The Gilbert rolls ! We will definitely come back for our next sushi date! Thanks!

Delicious sushi and if you order a lot of it they will bring it out on a super cool boat! We especially loved the Gilbert rolls and vegas roll. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! They were so good with my 2 yr old nephew :) We had a great time and can't wait to come back!

Enjoy coming to this place. My favorite sushi is the Elliot Roll. So gooood! I love the sake bomb with the Kirin lite. Can't go wrong with sushi sake and beer. I do like the Kung Pao chicken with no nuts. This dish never fails, it's my go to dish. The spicy shrimp fried rice is always good and good portion size. The sushi pricing here is great. I have had the Mongolian beef and chicken both delicious meat and chicken are both tender.

Follow up review since we were craving sushi. We both got the all you can eat sushi. $27.95 not bad. Well as long as the food is good. Started off with a rainbow roll, tuna roll, and an avocado and salmon roll. It did not disappoint. All were very delicious. Fish was colorful and tasty. Not smelly or dry at all. Rice was cooked well and not mushy. Only small complaint was that some of the rolls weren't tightly rolled so they fell apart. Finished off the meal with a bowl of edamame. A little mushy but ok Once again this place made it worth the long drive from westgate. We will continue coming here as it's one of our favorite sushi places. By the way, the place was completely full around 7pm on a Saturday. Guess a lot of people like the food as much as me!

Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the staff and food are both amazing. Anytime I travel, I like to try new sushi restaurants, but they never compare to the quality that Orient provides. Every time I come in, I typically have larger parties, and they do an amazing job accommodating us. We do all you can eat every time, and the food is always flowing fast. From the moment you put a food order in, they are very quick at bringing out the food that is ordered. The quality is the best I've had in Arizona, and when I try other sushi places around the country, they never compare to Orient. When I come in now a days I feel like family, seeing all the familiar faces of the staff makes me feel at home. No matter what sushi I try in other places, Orient always has me coming back for more!

I know it says sushi but the Chinese food is untouchable! Orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken is to die for! Service is hit or miss and restaurant okay! But the food here is usually good and prices are affordable

I stopped in here for lunch between the holidays with my daughter. Fast friendly service. The restaurant is very clean. Great selection on the menu. Reasonably priced. The sushi and the rolls are fresh and delicious. I will definitely be coming back here.

Husband wanted sushi for his birthday meal. We were in Mesa and didn't want to go to a chain, so yelp to the rescue! This place is small but don't let that fool you. The sushi they have coming from the sushi bar is very good! We opted for the AYCE option and C got his at half price. I don't even recall how many orders of potsticker husband ordered but it was more than 2. And we ordered at least 5 rolls for us to all share. The price was great for what we got! And did I mention that the entire staff was extremely friendly? Seriously. We had at least 6 people tell us thank you for coming when we were leaving. Lol Next time we're in the mood for sushi, I know where we're going!

The food is delicious. Try the Chandler roll. Just trust me. The only downside is that they kind of indirectly rush you to finish your food. For example, that last time I visited, everytime I looked over the server was just watching us eat. Not sure if that is good service or just them being nosy. Regardless, I was too distracted by my Chandler roll to care too much.
