Oriental Hotel

This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Kobe, with an excellent location surrounded by all kinds of shopping options. The hotel's hardware facilities are outstanding, complemented by top-notch service (the front desk and lounge are exceptional—even the concierge staff you meet in the elevator can communicate fluently in English with guests). It’s truly at the level of a luxury hotel and absolutely worth the price. The executive room includes access to the executive lounge (with all-day alcoholic beverages) and even comes with a fully stocked minibar—definitely not the watered-down version you’d find at ordinary international chain hotels. If I have the chance to visit Kobe again, this will undoubtedly be my first choice.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. Staff were English friendly and were very helpful in arranging restaurant reservations. Rooms are clean and very large for a Japanese hotel. The bar has a great view of the city and good cocktails.

This hotel made me feel as if I had been transported back in time to the 1930s. The hotel is beautifully furnished, the furniture is high quality, and the interior design is well thought out yet cosy. I didn't miss a thing. The staff are attentive, polite and well trained. The hotel is centrally located, and Kobe's attractions are within easy walking distance.

My family had a great stay at the hotel. Location is convenient and walkable to Sannomiya and Kobe port. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast had made-to-order items and buffet—everything was very well made. Make sure you dress up for breakfast though as everyone is dressed nicely.

I had a wonderful stay at the Oriental Hotel. The warm welcome made me feel at home right away. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

We travel a lot and privately arranged this hotel as a post-cruise hotel. The check-in is on the 17th floor so be prepared. This hotel was highly rated and we discovered why. As US tourists we were flabbergasted to find that the size of the rooms was much larger than we expected for Asia. We easily had a 275 sq. ft room. A dual shower and tub were in a separate wet room. The enclosed toilet had a heated seat with bidet and was auto-opening. The rooms were extremely well-appointed. This hotel in the US would be considered a mid to high 4 on a 5 point scale. It was perhaps the best hotel we have ever stayed in and the price was very competitive. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the cruise terminal and is perfect for a post-cruise hotel. The Shin HS rail station is about 2 miles away and easily accessible by subway or taxi. We did not eat at the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Rooms were spacious and clean. Amenities were top notch. The hotel sits between the waterfront and the city center , in the shopping area. Great views from the top floor of Kobe. Would stay there again
