Oriental Residency scores well on location, especially for travelers relying on public transport. The hotel is at a walkable distance from Khar Railway Station, which makes commuting extremely convenient. Linking Road, known for its vibrant street shopping, is also just a short walk away—definitely a big plus if you enjoy shopping and exploring the local vibe. The hotel staff is courteous and hospitable, always polite and willing to help. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, though the washrooms could use improvement, particularly visible stains on tiles which take away from the overall comfort. As we were visiting Mumbai with family, we mostly explored outside dining options. However, we did opt for the breakfast buffet at the hotel. While the food is fresh, it lacks taste and aroma, especially the South Indian items like dosa and sambhar, which were below average. The menu variety is limited and repetitive—during our 2-night stay, breakfast largely rotated between eggs, salami, dosa, upma/poha, and parantha/puri. The South Indian dishes were underwhelming, whereas the puri was decent. Overall, the food lacks distinctiveness, and I would recommend eating outside. Final verdict: An average place to stay, best suited for its excellent location and polite staff, but the food offering brings down the overall experience.

Good hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast spread deserves a special mention — it has such a wide variety that you would need to stay for many days to try everything. A big thank you to Arun from the breakfast room, who thoughtfully curated a different breakfast for me every day based on my requirements. He is warm, attentive, and a pleasure to speak to — exactly the kind of person you want to interact with before starting a long day. The entire kitchen team is efficient and courteous, and even the housekeeping staff does a wonderful job. Every interaction felt smooth and professional. Wishing the hotel continued success and growth. I hope it thrives and does very well.

This was honestly the best place for us location-wise. We were only in India for 3 days (really just one full day), so being able to get around easily mattered a lot—and this place delivered. Easy to get around, and surprisingly quiet at night, which we really appreciated. We arrived super late, around 1–2 AM, The night staff, Aram(or Arun?), was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even though we were exhausted, he patiently helped us through check-in and made us feel taken care of right away. The staff overall were very friendly and helpful as well. The complimentary breakfast was very simple—not a big variety like we imagined—but it was okay for what it was, and we managed just fine. The room looked a bit older compared to the photos on Agoda, but honestly, no complaints. It was clean, neat, and comfortable. Internet-wise: if you’re using Android, it seems easier to connect. On iPhone, even with Aram’s help, the connection would drop after not using it for a while and was a bit tricky to reconnect. But since we were only there a few days, it wasn’t a big problem. Side note (not related to the hotel): I’d recommend booking Uber or a taxi service at least 2–3 hours before check-in, especially during rush hour 😆 Overall, a comfortable stay with kind people and a great location. Would recommend for short stays!

Arun was a great waiter. He provided us with wonderful service. Made sure that we were well taken care of. Reception staff were very helpful. Had some WI-FI issues that were resolved. Would stay here again, if I returned to Mumbai.

Arun S Ji was wonderfully cooperative. And his suggestion for breakfast set up our day for a wonderful start. Will visit again soon. Alam Ji on the reception desk was also very courteous and helpful. Overall a great experience, would love to visit again.

The hotel is located in a prime and safe area, with several attractions nearby - easily the best part of the stay. However, the rooms were quite small for the price charged. We had specifically booked a twin-bed room, but were given a single deluxe bed instead. Additionally, the AC in one of the rooms wasn’t working, and the ceiling fan had only two extremes - either too fast or too slow. Overall, the property didn’t feel well maintained. On the positive side, the staff was polite and helpful.

We had a very pleasant stay at this property. The service was excellent, the food was great, and the location was perfectly central. I would especially like to mention and thank Deepak for his warm hospitality and for accommodating every request with a smile. We also appreciated the attentive service provided by Arun, Manohar, and Sunil during breakfast. A special mention goes to the security personnel at the gate, who greeted us warmly every single time. Overall, our stay truly felt like being at home.

Rooms too small, it is for one person two persons cannot stay due to cramped space. Bathrooms - To be improved drastically as they are excessively small and toilet seats are not cleaned by sanitizing and cleaning staff, housekeeping is poor, extremely dirty, shabby like public toilet. Shower area to be improved as water drains out from shower area to dry area, your footmat get's wet so no space to stand after shower. Staff is very good and polite, breakfast area small but good and staff too very caring, front desk also polite and helpful. Overall hotel need lot of improvement. My room was 506.
