Oriental Siam Resort Chiang Mai

Almost felt like staying with family. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From we first checked in to when we left, we felt genuine warmth, and that they enjoyed working in hospitality. It was quiet and calm, and the location was just long enough outside the city to feel like an oasis, and just close enough that we felt in the city. Great experience. Thank you for welcoming us! We were staying at the Oriental Siam Resort in Chiang Mai on July 15, 2025, and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a very nice bungalow that was very comfortable and more than large enough for the two of us. In resort and around the bungalows and the pool there are many trees and exotic plants that create a relaxing environment. Next to the restaurant is a pond with many fishes swimming around busily.||We really liked the friendly service at the resort. The staff was attentive and made our stay very pleasant. The family that is running the resort made us feel right at home.||We recommend the Oriental Siam Resort to anyone looking for a smaller and tranquil oasis in the vicinity of the city combined with warm hospitality.

A Splendid Experience at an Idyllic Resort For two months, my family and I had the pleasure of enjoying the beauty and hospitality of this resort. What a privilege it was to stay in different villas, tailored to our ever-changing group of 4, 3, 2, or occasionally just 1 person. This flexibility truly made our stay special. The resort is absolutely breathtaking: a lush green oasis filled with trees, vibrant flowers, a variety of butterflies and birds, and a waterfall feeding into a pond where fish swim peacefully. The villas are scattered throughout the tropical garden, which is maintained daily, and radiate a charm that is hard to capture in photos. The stay was a real joy for all four of us, offering exactly the peace and tranquillity we were longing for. What will stay with us most, however, is the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Everything was arranged with care and love, and we always felt welcome. After a few weeks, it even began to feel like home. The breakfast, with fresh fruit always beautifully laid out, and the dinners on the veranda at the idyllic restaurant overlooking the pond, were unforgettable. The balance between relaxing by the pool, day trips into town (only 15 minutes away by Grab), excursions organised from the resort, and enjoying the serenity of the grounds made our experience of Chiang Mai and its surroundings truly complete. This resort offered the perfect mix of luxury and comfort. A special thank you to Nat, Mr Kobby, Sunny, and the whole team for making our stay so unforgettable. We will definitely be returning!

This is a hidden gem between the airport and the city of Chiang Mai, which makes this a peaceful paradise, a bit away from the noise and smell of the too busy city centre. However, a quick ride with the cheap taxis will bring you there in 15 minutes. ||It is a gorgeous boutique hotel with beautiful Thai style villas around a fish pond in a paradise garden. The Thai owners speak also English and Dutch. The manager speaks fluent Chinese, English and some Korean as well. There is a good restaurant for a nice breakfast and dinner.||It is also perfect for families. The villas are spacious, some have more rooms. There is a nice playground for kids.|If you are looking for a paradise like peaceful place not too far from the city center, book this place!

Amazing Family-Friendly Resort. We had an incredible stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such a warm and friendly welcome. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, offering the best service we’ve ever experienced. What really stood out was how child-friendly the resort is. The staff played with the kids in such a natural and caring way, allowing parents to truly relax and enjoy their vacation. It was wonderful to see how much they cared about making it a great experience for families. The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of delicious options to choose from, all served à la carte. It was a perfect way to start each day. Our room was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. The resort is small and peaceful, which made it even more relaxing. Overall, this resort is a perfect getaway for families. Great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of fun for both kids and parents. We can’t wait to come back when we visit Chiang Mai again!

The most friendly welcome we’ve ever received or experienced. The resort feels like a private little paradise. It has so many gorgeous little areas and it is super well kept! We stayed here a couple of nights with our 4 year old. And even though all Thai are extremely sweet and friendly with kids, this was the first place we could take our eyes off her, breathe and relax. She was in the best of hands. The resort offers internships to local schoolgirls. And it truly felt like we had a bunch of the sweetest nannies (including the very sweet owners). They have a huge playground for kids to play and are in general very accommodating to kids as well as to adults. Location wise, no complaints either. Within 20min from the airport and most of the markets. A must stay if you ever decide to visit Chiang Mai!

I found my SELF in this resort Awesome place is not the best word to use for this. I felt a soul connection with the atmosphere here. Especially the waterfalls right next to my cottage. After a busy week in BKK, this spot was a heavenly place for me. Its been a week for me, still my heart and soul are stuck in this resort. What a sense of hospitality by all staff including Nat, Kaby and even the apprentice staff. Man, I would love to spend my eternity here. The environment was absolutely clean without a speck of dust in my feet, butterflies flying around you, roosters and chickens clucking, wow- what an experience.. A must go if you want to find your true self.

My friends and I were celebrating a special birthday milestone. It was the first time in Chiang Mai for all of us 5 girls. We were welcomed with a nice cool drink and beautiful smiles. From the moment we stepped through the open walk way, the lush greenery and sounds of water gave instant peace. Nat, the owner was communicative prior and throughout our 7 day stay. She takes her time making each guest feel like family. I highly recommend utilizing the hotel concierge/manager, Mr. Kolby who can design day trips, transportation, and excursions. Our highlights were the local organic cooking farm and an elephant sanctuary. The resort is an easy 20-30 min. Car ride into the center city. ||The resort is truly a sanctuary for those of us needing to get away from the day to day busyness: people who may need a reconnection to nature and who are open to new sounds that a Chiang Mai morning may bring. I highly recommend Oriental Siam Resort and plan on coming back soon!
