Standing at more than 100 years old — it originally opened in 1912 — the Orientbank Hotel Istanbul might not be quite as impressively ancient as some of them, but it still has its own distinctive good looks to be proud of, including its original façade, copper terrace dome, marble spiral staircase, and wooden revolving door. The rest of the hotel blends the old with the new, as Art Deco touches in the contemporary rooms nod to the hotel’s early years, and whilst the Jazz Bar is another 1920s reference, being able to contact your butler via WhatsApp is a thoroughly modern touch. Orientbank Hotel is a very good place to stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the food was absolutely amazing — honestly one of the highlights of the stay. What truly makes this hotel special is its historical background. Staying here feels like stepping into a piece of history, and it’s even more impressive knowing that scenes from a James Bond movie were filmed here. That alone gives the place a unique atmosphere you don’t find everywhere. On top of that, the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the experience even better.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The staff were truly exceptional – incredibly helpful, well-trained, and always polite. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The Turkish breakfast was delicious with a great selection of fresh, local dishes every morning. The location is simply unbeatable – you couldn’t ask for a better spot in Istanbul. A beautiful terrace offering stunning panoramic views of the Bosphorus. It was the perfect place to relax and soak in the atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

This is a great hotel, only 36 rooms and the location is fantastic. It has an old vibe and my room was in very nice condition. I had room 503, small water view, I liked the roof across the street, the guy had lots of pigeons. The front desk person you checked me in was excellent, her English was better than mine and she had great positive energy. The guy who delivered my bag and gave me a rooftop tour was also excellent. It was a nice warm greeting. The whole staff, including breakfast gave great service. I hope to return.

We spent 4 days here before catching a cruise. Beautiful historic hotel. Location was great and we could easily walk to all major sites. Beautiful room ( junior suite) with large bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing, and very generous. After spending the day touring, it was magical time on the top floor terrace, overlooking the city at night, having a drink to end the day. Staff was friendly and very helpful in giving us directions.and suggestions for dinner.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable hotel in the middle of the old town of Istanbul, steps from the Egyptian (spice) bazaar and 10 mins walk from the Grand Bazaar. Very walkable to all of the major visitor spots and to public transport which makes travel to/from IST airport doable. Small & friendly team. Rooftop is worth visiting both day & night for views of the city & river. Rooms aren’t huge but it’s a small building. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite which was around the same size of other ‘standard’ hotel rooms. I’d definitely stay again.

I only had the opportunity to stay one night but what a beautiful little hotel. Though a little quirky, our room was beautiful with an excellent view of the city around us. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. If you stay here, make sure to visit the top floor. The views from there are amazing. I would definitely stay here again

Fantastic hotel with world-class service. My favorite Marriott. The staff is attentive, caring, and genuinely interested in providing the best experience possible for the guests. From the moment we arrived, until departure, everyone there was doing their best to help with our needs, and ensure we felt comfortable. The location is awesome, and as soon as you exit the hotel (which is very quiet and peaceful) you find yourself in the middle of the old city excitement. The building is awesome and everything in there has character. The roof is an amazing extra perk for late night snacks with a view after a day of exploration. My only point of feedback: Find a way to store the room service carts away from the hallways during the day. The atrium is truly beautiful, and those carts take away from that.

What an incredible staff from all the Front Desk Personnel, Morning Breakfast Servers, and Housekeeping Staff all displayed the highest level of professionalism & customer service. My wife sneezed waiting for the elevator & the Front Desk Woman came running with a .tissue. WOW! Hotel is a beautifully decorated former Bank Building steps from the Spice Market & attractions. Rooms are on the small size. Nice 7th Floor Rooftop for great views. As a Marriott Platinum Member I highly recommend this property.
