This is an excellent family-owned hotel with fabulous decor just a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. It's location about 3 minutes from the main street means it's nice and quiet. There is a fabulous breakfast from 7:30 each day. The bar is open (on request) all the time, and someone on the desk 24 hours. The staff are very helpful, with excellent English. Our room and bathroom were very clean. The air conditioner works well as does the shower. The towels were delightful. There is a very nice garden at the back with plenty of tables and chairs and lots of places to sit in the shade. Breakfast can also be taken in the garden. If you want the beach, the hotel will arrange pickup and van to take you to the Lido at Coral Beach to the north. It's a pebble beach. For the trip out and back for two people with sun chairs and umbrellas was 25 Euro. We stayed for two nights. I'd have been happy here for two weeks.

What a wonderful whimsical place! Spent two nights -wish we could have spent a lot more time here. Family owned, wonderful helpful staff, on a quiet street a two minute walk from the center of town. The gardens are simply beautiful, with lots of shady places to sit, and the whole place is decorated with an eclectic array of antiques and curiosities. Breakfast is a wonderful feast every day and there’s a shuttle to a lovely pebble beach €25 for transport for two, two lounges and a table. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable, good air conditioning , yummy towels and a good shower. My favorite place we stayed in Italy. Not fancy but truly wonderful. I would go back and stay there for a week just to relax.

It’s in a really good location just off the main drag. Hotel is old and quirky like a museum. Staff were excellent and spoke great English. Rooms have balconies and this is nice. Only 2 negatives - the bed was like a rock and so both me and husband woke each day with muscle soreness. Secondly there is a great massive telephone tower on top, both of which affected sleep. But overall it was a good stay.

Hotel oriente..The bar / breakfast restaurant was the most interesting part of the place, as it is overflowing with Sicilian memorabilia and lots of other stuff. It takes a video to get a picture of it all. Nice place with very nice courtyard and Also , we had our own little courtyard as well

We had a chance to stay at this amazing place for 6 nights and never tired of it! You know it is different from the get-go when you see the front window filled with antiques which you discover is only one-hundredth of the collection which decorates the entire premises (except inside the guest rooms). The hotel is actually an official museum, which was started by the current owner's (Manuela) father. The rooms are maintained impeccably, each offering a roomy veranda and nice bathrooms. The breakfast is very nice and offers American style coffee as well as other beverages. We were very fortunate to be there when the lemons and oranges were for picking, which you were welcome to do. The gardens were remarkable with many garden tables and chairs. Loved it! Location was great, very close to the main street and reasonably close to the ports.

I was picked up at the night from the port (eventhough hotel si very near), got a map and advice about town. Hotel is few steps from the main street, to the beach you can take a bus or walk cca 4km. Breakfast is buffet with sweet pastries, ham, cheese, juices etc, and also eolian speciality capari. You can have coffee from machine, but ask the staff to make you cappucino. There is nice garden, perfect to chill out in the evening with the glass of malvasia from their bar. Room was enough for me, basic stuff, minifridge, tv, towels, toilletries with balcony, cleaned every day.In fhe night there is sometimes noise from the main street, but ok. Wifi is only in the dining room and lobby, so that is little bit unconvenient, but who would be on lipari and spend time on internet :))||Staff was always helpful and very gentle, make you feel like home. I needed to check out very early morning and it was ok, they even fixed me up basic breakfast. Hotel itself is like a museum, you are still finding new and new things to admire. I really enjoyed my stay and when coming back to lipari i will definitely stay here! Thank you very much!

First of all there's Antonello. He's the afternoon desk clerk and is so sweet and enthusiastic! We called from the ferry dock and he was there in a flash with his funky little van. I don't think he speaks a lot of English but luckily I get along ok in Italian. Our peaceful room was one in the courtyard with a porch, table, chairs and a laundry rack on it. The garden surrounding us had lemon and orange trees, lizards and singing birds. So peaceful. The hotel is convenient and central to the rest of the town and both ports. We walked everywhere easily. The room was spacious and very clean. Be prepared for hard beds and pillows in Sicily. In 5 weeks that's all we experienced. The breakfast is good and plentiful. Antonello is very helpful with giving tips and advice. We stayed there for 7 nights and I did not want to leave!! Would stay there in a heartbeat. Wifi did not work inside our room, we had to go out onto the porch in front of the room. A tiny bit inconvenient but did not detract from the stay at all. The owner of the hotel definitely likes his antiquities - set up almost like a museum. Stuff everywhere - and interesting if you take the time to look at it, which I recommend.

This hotel was part of our hike journey in Eolian islands. A very atypical place with its collections of ... everything! amazing! the rooms in the garden are lovely, again you feel alike at home. Breakfast was good and complete.
