Origano Cafe & Pizzeria

A very busy restaurant on Leith Walk, for good reason. The food is great, with a nice selection of wines. The service is brisk, which is good. We shared a small mixed antipasti, and had the Lasagne and Cannelloni as mains, all accompanied by a bottle of Spanish red wine. We also had the Tiramisu and the lemon cheesecake. A minor item was that the cheesecake was let down by the raspberry syrup which masked the lemon flavour, otherwise both very nice. Good coffee. Portion sizes were good for two people. The pizza being served to other tables looked great and fairly large.

A small but incredibly cosy pizzeria bathed in candlelight serving fab authentic pizza served by a friendly staff , the night we were in was a cold and rainy tuesday in November but it was packed and its easy to see why when the food arrived , I had the Vesuvio ,the gf had polpette picante and the daughter had the Pompeiii , all fantastic as we tried each one and couldnt tell which was better ,we havent had a proper wood fired Neapolitan pizza in a long time and this was superb , well recommended

The pizza is great, and the wine selection is also good. I also really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant. But the thing I want to highlight the most is the staff. They're really kind and attentive. I foolishly forgot my quite expensive umbrella in the restaurant, and a staff member offered to look it up after they close. He luckily found it. Alas, I couldn't collect it the next day since I had a train to catch, so he kindly offered to hand it to a nearby bar, which is open until late so I could collect it that day. It was so appreciated that he helped me the way he did. If by some chance you read this, thank you so much again for being so kind and helpful.

Service - friendly, helpful and attentive. Noticing the small details. We didn’t want beer and when we ordered tiramisu, the waitress came to inform us about the alcoholic. It was fine but good to notice these things. Food - Very good. We shared the starter, pizza (a lot of good options) and tiramisu. The pizza is already divided. What a service. Atmosphere - lovely. Cute and warm place. Location - good Price - fair Wifi - unknown

Great pizzeria (with some other Italian dishes served) in an atmospheric building - offices of the old rubber mills. Lovely pizzas and very friendly service. We have been living in area for years and to our shame this was our first visit. Highly recommended.

We hadn't made a reservation and popped in on the off-chance...the restaurant was full but we were able to sit in the front and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very warm and friendly and made us feel very at ease. Had a genuinely excellent meal and prices were reasonable. Will definitely return.

The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is beautiful.

Thanks to Kasia, Sarah and Ben for taking care of our large group yesterday. The food was delicious, especially the lasagne! All the team took such great care of us all and it’s now a firm favourite in our group!
