I achieved decent results overall, but the experience at the Original Mayr left quite a bit to be desired. The organisation was surprisingly poor for a clinic of this calibre: I frequently received the wrong meals for my programme, appointments were booked at incorrect times, test results weren’t returned on a timely basis, and mid-stay check-ins were mistakenly arranged for the end of my stay. Language barriers occasionally led to further errors.||The food, while understandably simple due to the nature of the programme, was extremely monotonous — even within the constraints of a dietary regime, more variety and creativity should be possible. Staff were mixed: some were excellent, offering thoughtful and pragmatic guidance for sustainable health improvements; others less so.||Feedback, whether offered constructively or in response to clear mistakes, was generally met with indifference or, in some cases, a dismissive attitude — from both staff and management. This lack of openness detracts from the sense of personal care the clinic aims to promote.||There’s also a tendency to charge extra for many things — including some for which it feels unnecessary to do so, like a breathwork class — which creates an unfortunate impression of opportunism. Several treatments felt a bit pseudoscientific and unconvincing, and the persistent sound of jet washing during the day certainly didn’t help the supposed atmosphere of tranquillity.||A stay here can still be beneficial, but expectations should be managed — especially at this price point.
