Amazing locations with the best roof top views! Rooms were well appointed and nicely sized. They were ready and clean when we got in. The staff was accommodating. Pedro in particular went above and beyond his duties. He initially helped us find a hang gliding company and then also helped me with the post cards I needed to send. Great people and location. Oh - and the food and breakfast service was great!

Overall a alright hotel experience. It although only gets the 3 star score because compared to the price and the 4 stars it doesn't do well enough. Breakfast was very lacking for a 4 star hotel. Food quality was poor. Variety was poor. Coffee was really bad. The service there was alright. The reception/lobby had no free coffee or water. Everything paid. The rooms had no tea, coffee or water. Other than that they were pretty good. Outside the hotel it smelled of pee. Homeless people sleeping out front. The pool was more of a big bathtub than anything else. The fitness was miniature. They just did the absolutely necessary to get 4 stars and nothing else. The service was good. People was helpfull. The location near the beach is great. The taxi ordered by the hotel drove on purpose a longer route. It drove crazier than any uber during the two weeks stay. And finally ripped us off at the airport with an increased price compared to the meter. Surprised that the hotel orders such a taxi yet the way it seemed when they ordered that they are likely in on the system. Better ordering an uber. You can't trust a 4-star hotel. Had the hotel been around 20% cheaper. I would have given it a 4-5 star review. Danish Hotels for the same price offer more. That is Denmark. The value proposition should be much better in Brazil as seen by the price of everything else in Rio.

Everything with my stay at this hotel was pleasant. The staff, the room, the rooftop views, and the breakfast were all great. Special thanks to Pedro at the reception desk with great help and suggestions for food.

Google
Great location, staff very friendly, breakfast had good options and rooms spacious and comfortable.|Had a great 4 nights at the Hotel.|Walking distance 1 minute to Copacabana beach and 5-6 minutes from Ipanema beach.||Used the gym facility and balcony up top, great views, gym was ok for a hotel gym with options for exercise classes on the beach with other companies if you really wanted a tougher class workout.||Definitely recommend the hotel to stay for price, location and staff.

Very bad experience in this hotel. We had a standard room which was similar to Harry Potter under the stairs room but with the air conditioning machines of the hotel (not ours) sounds as blank noise to sleep plus the shower of the next room… the bed/pillow was awful, we couldn’t sleep well and the breakfast was very basic and front desk people are not really welcoming people or helpful at all… Spoiler alert: the next day we changed hotel… thanks to booking.com and their customer service really… For that price, you can definitely find better options at same location … Above all, if you are young age and foreigner, I would suggest to check other options…

Stayed on the 12th floor. A little bit of noise from the street, but it was ok. It did not keep us awake. |Lovely views of the beach. |13th floor roof top bar was fab! |Rooms very clean and well kept. |Had a fabulous stay and would recommend to everyone!

Yelp
Awesome location! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Our 10.5hr flight arrived early in the morning which meant we arrived at the hotel before check in time... I think they may have taken pity on me because I looked so tired and awful that they allowed us to check in early. Luis at the front desk help us book all of our tours and gave us recommendations for restaurants. We added the breakfast to our stay which was a good mix of all kinds of fruit, breads and other breakfast items. Coffee, tea and juice were brought to the table. Totally worth it before the long tour days. The area felt very safe. We walked around at night with no issues. There is Fort Copacabana across the street so that might have been a part of the safety. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Orla Copacabana is the first hotel I stayed at in Rio. The best part about this hotel is the location. It's a stones throw away from Ipanema and directly in front of Copacabana beach. Plenty of restaurants and markets nearby to choose from. The rooms are clean and basic. It's pretty much the standard for hotels I've stayed at internationally. If you are expecting the 2,900 square foot Hangover Suite at Caesars Palace, you'll be very disappointed. It's real "standard", nothing fancy. (FYI, for fancy try Rio Sofitel, but there's a big price difference) Breakfast each morning was good and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. Overall I found this hotel acceptable. One of the the better locations but not my first choice when in Rio.

Yelp
I've been pretty unimpressed with the selection of hotels in Rio, most are very dated and not worth the high price point, and those that are super nice, are well out of the budget. Hoping I'd find a nice balance of chic and ~$200/night, I fell upon Orla. After all, it's located right on Avenida Atlantica (which is oceanfront) and it's close to the Copacabana Fort (which also means it's within walking distance of Ipanema). Sadly, I did not dig my temporary digs. The Orla hotel is part of the class of amazingly located but poorly dated/designed retro hotels. My superior room seemed anything but, although I guess that's all relative. I opened the window to find the view of another building encroaching upon my modest room. The bathroom had Days Inn-type toiletries and the bed was rigid with rough sheets. The wi-fi also didn't work very well from my room. On the plus, the hotel staff was very cordial and helpful, the breakfast buffet looked nice and the rooftop pool is a perk in the warmer months. While I won't likely stay here again, it's worth it if you're balling on a budget and happen to score a good deal. Also, if you're not going to stay in the room a lot, the location is great.

Yelp
The amenities and service in this hotel is poor. The wireless connection although free does not work. The breakfast is full of carbs and there is no coffee in the room. They would not even provide hot water in the room. The guest services did not speak English. The restaurant in the hotel had no choices of food for vegetarians. There are no decent restaurants nearby either. I would not recommend this hotel. The towels looked dirty and the beds were not good either. The ocean view from the deluxe room is very good but not worth the price. The location to the fort and the beach is good. The front desk personnel spoke English.

Yelp
Had an awful experience at our previous hotel so we checked out and got a room here. Was VERY reasonably priced for how nice it is. It's as close to the beach as you can get. AMAZING front desk staff and service. Clean rooms. Free wifi. Free breakfast for 4.5 hours every morning... What more could you ask for! We loved it!
