The pool is a lie, more like a jacuzzi. This does not feel like a 4 star hotel, the rooms are tiny. Lots of ventilation noise, we had to change rooms. Breakfast with fruits and attentive staff was the saving grace

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Rio. Friendly staff. The room was nice with a beautiful view of the beach. Great working air conditioner. Mini bar with very reasonable pricing. Breakfast was delicious. Sunrises were beautiful from the room. Located in a safe area.

Had a perfectly good experience here with slightly higher expectations as it was described as a 4 star hotel. The room was dated and small and it was easy to hear people in the hall. The lobby and rooftop were nice. Staff was helpful. Shower pressure was incredible!

A really lovely surprise. Spent the holidays here and the staff, especially Marcela at the front desk and the gentleman at the roof bar was lovely. The rooms were very nice and the showers had the best water pressure! Breakfast was good and the location was right across the beach, and walking distance to Ipanema. Tons of cute places around the area and next to the Fairmont which has lovely spa services. Would recommend. We also spent New Year’s Eve on the rooftop which was fabulous!

The room was wonderful. We found the view to be worth the stay. How often can you look out and see a world famous site (Sugar Loaf) from the window? Room was reasonably sized and comfortable once AC was turned on. Problem is the AC required the key card to stay in the circuit to work. This effectively meant we only had one key. And key was needed to operate elevator. Location on Copacabana Beach surrounded by restaurants. Happy with breakfast. Hotel was clean. But two items went missing. We think accidently picked up by over zealous cleaner. One as a hat with sun sides. Other a small backpack. Reported as soon as discovered (we went to breakfast and returned unable to find them as we packed for the day). Both replaceable but a bad way to start a trip.

Great location, rooftop view of the beach and small pool, friendly front desk and delicious plentiful breakfast buffet. This hotel was perfect for our 6 day stay in Rio. We were located directly on Copacabana beach and loved the location of this hotel, it had a comfortable bed, good shower, air conditioning, laundry service and the breakfast everyday was perfect. It’s everything one needs to visit Rio! I would stay here again!

Very friendly service, bartender on the roof top bar makes amazing drinks. We got to the hotel 2 hours early coming from Leblon, and they were more than accommodating and let us check in early. Views from the roof top were beautiful highly recommend.

The room is nice but sorry, a plastic protection between sheet and mattress belongs to a motel, not a "luxury" hotel, no laundry service during the weekend. There's an inch gap between door and floor so light gets in and I could hear a mouse on the outside. I have +150 hotel nights a year and this is a solid 3 star place in my book

Yelp
Awesome location! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Our 10.5hr flight arrived early in the morning which meant we arrived at the hotel before check in time... I think they may have taken pity on me because I looked so tired and awful that they allowed us to check in early. Luis at the front desk help us book all of our tours and gave us recommendations for restaurants. We added the breakfast to our stay which was a good mix of all kinds of fruit, breads and other breakfast items. Coffee, tea and juice were brought to the table. Totally worth it before the long tour days. The area felt very safe. We walked around at night with no issues. There is Fort Copacabana across the street so that might have been a part of the safety. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Orla Copacabana is the first hotel I stayed at in Rio. The best part about this hotel is the location. It's a stones throw away from Ipanema and directly in front of Copacabana beach. Plenty of restaurants and markets nearby to choose from. The rooms are clean and basic. It's pretty much the standard for hotels I've stayed at internationally. If you are expecting the 2,900 square foot Hangover Suite at Caesars Palace, you'll be very disappointed. It's real "standard", nothing fancy. (FYI, for fancy try Rio Sofitel, but there's a big price difference) Breakfast each morning was good and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. Overall I found this hotel acceptable. One of the the better locations but not my first choice when in Rio.

Yelp
I've been pretty unimpressed with the selection of hotels in Rio, most are very dated and not worth the high price point, and those that are super nice, are well out of the budget. Hoping I'd find a nice balance of chic and ~$200/night, I fell upon Orla. After all, it's located right on Avenida Atlantica (which is oceanfront) and it's close to the Copacabana Fort (which also means it's within walking distance of Ipanema). Sadly, I did not dig my temporary digs. The Orla hotel is part of the class of amazingly located but poorly dated/designed retro hotels. My superior room seemed anything but, although I guess that's all relative. I opened the window to find the view of another building encroaching upon my modest room. The bathroom had Days Inn-type toiletries and the bed was rigid with rough sheets. The wi-fi also didn't work very well from my room. On the plus, the hotel staff was very cordial and helpful, the breakfast buffet looked nice and the rooftop pool is a perk in the warmer months. While I won't likely stay here again, it's worth it if you're balling on a budget and happen to score a good deal. Also, if you're not going to stay in the room a lot, the location is great.

Yelp
The amenities and service in this hotel is poor. The wireless connection although free does not work. The breakfast is full of carbs and there is no coffee in the room. They would not even provide hot water in the room. The guest services did not speak English. The restaurant in the hotel had no choices of food for vegetarians. There are no decent restaurants nearby either. I would not recommend this hotel. The towels looked dirty and the beds were not good either. The ocean view from the deluxe room is very good but not worth the price. The location to the fort and the beach is good. The front desk personnel spoke English.

Yelp
Had an awful experience at our previous hotel so we checked out and got a room here. Was VERY reasonably priced for how nice it is. It's as close to the beach as you can get. AMAZING front desk staff and service. Clean rooms. Free wifi. Free breakfast for 4.5 hours every morning... What more could you ask for! We loved it!
