Orla Copacabana Hotel

We are really happy with the hotel and staff. They even changed our room after the 1st night of not sleeping well with no extra charges. All the hotel was clean, housekeeping did a great job with keeping the rooms pristine. The breakfast was amazing, with a selection of fresh fruits, savoury dishes and sweet. Plentiful fresh fruit juices, coffee and tea. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Mucho Obrigada. 👍🏼

The Orla is a very quaint hotel with amenities that surpass the quality of the rooms. Our room was small with no view, but was clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool and gym (and view) are very nice, and the included buffest breakfast is excellent. Also, the location can't be beat as we were easily able to walk around both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.

Stayed twice as we had gone to the Amazon for a couple of days mid week my first booking all went smoothly and was pleased even though you look out onto brick walls and rooms are dark as curtains are kept close. My second booking which was just for 1 night on our return didn’t go too well I had my conformation receipt but they couldn’t find my booking , all got resolved which was good but as we had just had a long few days and flown back from Manaus we decided to stay by the pool for the day we had put do not disturb on the door as we were too tired to unpack thinking as we had just checked back in we wouldn’t of been disturbed anyway by maids as it was presumably cleaned before we was given the room We took 2 cans of coke to the pool from the mini bar. The next morning when we checked out before I could even say we had the 2 cans I was presented a bill for them so that means while we were by the pool and even though do not disturb on the door someone entered the room , fortunately nothing was taken but just be warned . Breakfast was ok , breakfast staff superb always offering drinks.

On the Copocabana Beach - what more could you look for. 10min walk to Ipenema beach. Nice clean hotel. On top floor has a bar, lounger chairs, pool, gym and sauna. All excellent. Was a great stay

Our room was really small with almost no light, and the noise of all the ACs. Do not recommend. Also the internet was really slow. Edit since apparently I had a different experience than other users .. seems like some customers had the exact same experience as me. So I guess it depends how lucky you are with your room. For me it was not worth the price at all.

The location and staff are the highlight of this hotel. Beautiful views for the seaview rooms. The hotel does feel dated and in need of touching up in certain areas. The pool is very small and not adequate for a pool date but a beautiful spot to have a drink in the evening (though you'll need to get your drinks at the lobby bar, since I have yet to see the pool bar open). Overall very pleasant, good breakfast and great location.

Perfeito!! Everything was perfect: nice room and very clean, amazing breakfast, nice rooftop. Kudos to the staff! :) thank you! They also propose laudry service and transit shower, which is always a pleasure before taking a long flight! We really enjoyed our holidays and we will come back for sure!

The front desk staff were very helpful. They arranged a full day Rio tour at a competitive rate, with collection from Hotel. Great hotel at the far end of Copacabana beach. We arranged for our daughter to collect her glasses in June, they said no problem. ||Excellent Breakfast.

Awesome location! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Our 10.5hr flight arrived early in the morning which meant we arrived at the hotel before check in time... I think they may have taken pity on me because I looked so tired and awful that they allowed us to check in early. Luis at the front desk help us book all of our tours and gave us recommendations for restaurants. We added the breakfast to our stay which was a good mix of all kinds of fruit, breads and other breakfast items. Coffee, tea and juice were brought to the table. Totally worth it before the long tour days. The area felt very safe. We walked around at night with no issues. There is Fort Copacabana across the street so that might have been a part of the safety. I highly recommend this hotel.

Orla Copacabana is the first hotel I stayed at in Rio. The best part about this hotel is the location. It's a stones throw away from Ipanema and directly in front of Copacabana beach. Plenty of restaurants and markets nearby to choose from. The rooms are clean and basic. It's pretty much the standard for hotels I've stayed at internationally. If you are expecting the 2,900 square foot Hangover Suite at Caesars Palace, you'll be very disappointed. It's real "standard", nothing fancy. (FYI, for fancy try Rio Sofitel, but there's a big price difference) Breakfast each morning was good and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. Overall I found this hotel acceptable. One of the the better locations but not my first choice when in Rio.

I've been pretty unimpressed with the selection of hotels in Rio, most are very dated and not worth the high price point, and those that are super nice, are well out of the budget. Hoping I'd find a nice balance of chic and ~$200/night, I fell upon Orla. After all, it's located right on Avenida Atlantica (which is oceanfront) and it's close to the Copacabana Fort (which also means it's within walking distance of Ipanema). Sadly, I did not dig my temporary digs. The Orla hotel is part of the class of amazingly located but poorly dated/designed retro hotels. My superior room seemed anything but, although I guess that's all relative. I opened the window to find the view of another building encroaching upon my modest room. The bathroom had Days Inn-type toiletries and the bed was rigid with rough sheets. The wi-fi also didn't work very well from my room. On the plus, the hotel staff was very cordial and helpful, the breakfast buffet looked nice and the rooftop pool is a perk in the warmer months. While I won't likely stay here again, it's worth it if you're balling on a budget and happen to score a good deal. Also, if you're not going to stay in the room a lot, the location is great.

The amenities and service in this hotel is poor. The wireless connection although free does not work. The breakfast is full of carbs and there is no coffee in the room. They would not even provide hot water in the room. The guest services did not speak English. The restaurant in the hotel had no choices of food for vegetarians. There are no decent restaurants nearby either. I would not recommend this hotel. The towels looked dirty and the beds were not good either. The ocean view from the deluxe room is very good but not worth the price. The location to the fort and the beach is good. The front desk personnel spoke English.

Had an awful experience at our previous hotel so we checked out and got a room here. Was VERY reasonably priced for how nice it is. It's as close to the beach as you can get. AMAZING front desk staff and service. Clean rooms. Free wifi. Free breakfast for 4.5 hours every morning... What more could you ask for! We loved it!
