"Zoom out. What's the story behind this place? The idea of the Orlando Museum of Art dates back to 1924, but the modern-day facility, with its large, white, rotund exterior, was completed in 1997. Although the exterior looks traditional and historic, the interior is much more contemporary and modern. The museum presents 10 or 12 onsite exhibitions at a time, and is home to one of the best collections of fine art in Florida. What will we find among their permanent offerings? The collection here, which includes 2,400 objects, focuses on American art from the 18th-century to the present day and international contemporary art. Paintings and photography are presented alongside textiles, pottery, and mixed media. Any temporary displays we should check out? The exhibits are constantly changing, from paintings by Orlando resident Winifred Johnson Clive to post-impressionist works by the Belgian artist Louis Dewis. Exhibitions around a specific theme are also common. What's the crowd like? It takes a little effort to hunt down fine art in a city that’s more famed for its coasters, and so the crowds here are generally art aficionados and well-versed culture-vultures. There can be a few families with particularly attentive kids, but it’s mostly a more mature, educated cross section of visitors. How easy is it to get around? This museum is fully equipped to welcome visitors with special needs, and provides complimentary wheelchairs and listening devices. Anything else we should know before planning a visit? Given the transient nature of the exhibits, some planning is necessary. Check the museum website in advance." - Paul Oswell

This was my first visit and I was very impressed by the size and variety of exhibits. I arrived just after ten on a Tuesday, and other than a group of extremely well behaved pre-schoolers and perhaps half a dozen other visitors, I was alone in the galleries. The gift shop was very nice too, with a good range of gifts for all interests and ages. I definitely look forward to returning in the near future.

Google
Artists from Florida works adorn the building. Lots of bright colors and pop sculptures. An abundance of rooms to view. Twenty dollars for adults, twelve dollars for seniors. It’s definitely worth a visit. Comparable to the museum in Tampa, maybe a little better.

What can I say, great place Parking is free, but get there early. The entrance fee is reasonable but free for retired vets or active with ID. Great exhibits.

Google
Our 3rd year attending the Festival of Trees at the Orlando Museum of Art. It's wonderful! The actual art is a bonus as the trees, wreaths, tablescapes, and gingerbread houses are works of art all by themselves!!! There's also entertainment through out the day. Highly, highly recommended!!! Stay for lunch too, the cranberry/turkey sandwich and large salad are delicious!! Enjoy!!! ❤

Google
I've been to all the different type of museum and countries. First of all, museum itself is very compact. You can finish tour in an hour. $20 entrance fee… hmm Kind of itchy to me. Arts are display with reproduction.

Google
Very beautiful museum for local artist. First time visit my son’s art was chosen to be in the student gallery for a month. Wonderful place to enjoy beautiful local art. They also have events and different art features every month. Cool books in gift shop!!!!

Google
Had a great day at Family Day with musical story time with the Orlando Philharmonic! The kids enjoyed making some of their own art as well as exploring the art on exhibit!

Yelp
This was a wonderful and exciting museum. I'm a huge fan of whimsical, loud, colorful art and this museum was chock full of it. I can't wait to come back here when I come back to Orlando!

Yelp
I attended the Council of 101's "Art in Bloom" fundraiser on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Orlando Museum of Art. The Council of 101 was founded in 1965 to further the cultural development and appreciation of the visual arts in Florida. "Art in Bloom" is the Council's springtime fundraiser and this year marked the 40th anniversary of the event. The three-day extravaganza showcased floral designs inspired by works from the Orlando Museum of Art's permanent collection and current exhibitions. Special events and daily show features included a first-look preview party, guest speakers and book signings, Floral interpretations, a silent art auction, antiques dealers, a mystery home tour, workshops, and a outdoor artisan market rounded out the many activities which took place over the weekend. The most important aspect of the event was the money raised went back to the Orlando Museum of Art to continue their mission to positively affect people's lives with inclusive, innovative, and inspiring educational programming which will endure as a cultural legacy in Central Florida; and to stimulate creativity, passion, and intellectual curiosity by connecting people from all backgrounds and experiences with compelling art and new ideas. Kudos and continued success for all involved.

Yelp
Beautiful museum located in a cluster of other great venues. Although this isn't a huge museum, it is filled with some very nice pieces. The majority of the museum can be seen in a few hours. This gives you plenty of opportunity to go for a nice meal before or after. Another option could be to check out the Sience Museum or see a play at The Orlando Shakespeare theater.

Catherine R.

Yelp
Fantastic, massive painting on temporary display in the lobby for Pride Month (see pictures) and we were lucky enough to listen to the artist talk about the process. Impressive collection, highly recommend. Work by Warhol, Lichtenstein, photography, ancient pottery... give yourself a few hours to soak it all in. Great museum shop as well. Definitely recommend a visit to this gem of a museum.

Jeremy L.

Yelp
KUDOS to the staff for providing supreme quality customer service! The free event for 100 yards was awesome! The caterers was great ! Thank God for the Orlando Museum of Art! Please come and visit to support this local business! I encourage all military members to enjoy their discount.

Shelby W.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for a Yelp event and I'm so glad that it took place here! This was also my first time in an art museum. The art here was absolutely stunning! They have a wide variety of paintings and sculptures. Also many different artists and styles. They have a couple of kid areas were they can write poetry and read books. I can't wait to come back to see more paintings and sculptures from other different artists.

Hikari N.

Yelp
I attended 'Till Death Do Us pARTy: A Day of the Dead Cocktail Evening and it was incredible! What a great showcase of an incredibly rich culture! With the spooky season in full bloom the Dia de los Muertos theme was fantastic way to enjoy some of the Yuyi Morales Exhibit! From the dancers bringing so much energy and life to the mariachi band getting everyone dancing and singing along it was a very lively event to say the least. Most people think museums are "boring" but OMA highlights many great artists, hosts incredible events and gives a great time to all those who stop by! They host many events throughout the year and also have youth and family programs available too! Definitely go check it out

Yelp
As a creative person who loves art in its many forms.. idk why in the world it took me so long to visit OMA! I absolutely loved being surrounded by so many creations and inspired by so many stories. Not to mention the beautiful lighting in some spaces. Naturally I wasn't moved by every single piece, but it's crazy how lost you can get walking, contemplating and observing OMA's walls (in my case almost 4hrs). I also really appreciated the small plaque by every piece describing the artist and background of the art. I posted a few of my favorites :).

Vanessa G.

Yelp
I want to say Thank You to Yelp Orlando for this fanscinating night at OMA. I walked into this event not knowing a single person to leaving this event and meeting a few people. I appreciate that part so much since it's been almost a year since I moved out here from Los Angeles, CA and really haven't met anyone due to work. If this Museum hosts this next year, I will be set with a beautiful outfit! I put on my fav jumpsuit and styled it the best I could and still people loved my fit and attitude. I had a fun time looking at all the beautiful people with their creativeness in design. The culture of the fashion world is so devine that you can get lost in the designers thoughts. Here are a few pictures from last night's extravaganza!

Deena S.

Yelp
I have really enjoyed all of my trips to the Orlando Museum of Art. I recently saw the Bob Jones exhibition that was amazing and the alleged Basquiat style paintings. I enjoyed that as well. I plan on visiting again soon to see the Florida Prize exhibit.

Hannah M.

Yelp
I have visited the Orlando Museum of Art on multiple occasions, though the Art in Bloom Festival was one of my favorites. They brought in speciality vendors, food, and floral arrangements to compliment their paintings. The cost of the event was $22 total, which isn't unreasonable. While it's a shame they charged extra for parking and do not have student discounts, it's definitely still worth visiting now and again! In case it's important to anyone reading, there are gender neutral bathrooms I found outside the exhibit. It's also walking-distance from the Orlando Science Center, a nice lakeside park, and other attractions.

Yelp
We spent a few hours on a lovely Saturday at this little hidden gem of Orlando. We've lived here for a year and a half and have only visited the theme parks, but decided to try something new! The start of our tour, it was quiet and enjoyable. We got through the first couple of exhibits before there was a chaotic (and loud) high school group that came in. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Don't Ask Me Where I'm From" and got through (and enjoyed) most of the Ukrainian War honorary exhibit. Both were riveting and awe striking--and in so many ways. Tears, laughter, inspiration all in an hour's time. We spoke with the store's employees, Suzan and Sarah about the loud teens and they resolved the issue within minutes. They were INCREDIBLE. Suzan also offered me the managers card to reach out about the problematic group, and plan to do so later this week. More so to commend their employee's diligence when it was needed. If you're ever craving something other than theme parks and water, try this place out! Hungry? The Orlando Science Center has a good sized cafe a 5min walk from the Art Museum. Good and relatively healthy!

Yelp
Went here do a Day of the dead event. The event was cool due to having tequila and food from Mexico. The drinks and tapas were plenty and enjoyed with good music. The event was crowded as well as both bars. The wait durning lines for drinks seemed to pass quick due to the people attending being friendly. After a few drinks and tapas I walked around and was able to enjoy some good art. The only thing that sucked was you could not take food or drinks around the gallery but it's understandable. Over all the museum has always interesting exhibits as well as good events. Recommend coming here.

Daphney D.

Yelp
Beautiful space. Ample free parking. Friendly, informative staff. $20 regular admission, $10 for students, free admission for military. Children are welcome, as they have a dedicated space to student artwork as well.

Giselle B.

Yelp
My daughter just visited and thoroughly enjoyed. Most people come to Orlando for the amusement parks, but we love the art scene- so we had to check out!

Michael S.

Yelp
A PLEASANT way to spend a few hours and get some culture. Somewhat on the small size compared to art museums in larger cities. As usual, they have some pieces that are INSPIRING, and others that leave you WONDERING. Most pieces evoke at least some type of emotion.$12 for senior citizens over 60. FREE parking right near the front entrance.

Lisa S.

Yelp
My husband and I became members at the end of 2020 and have enjoyed the museum on multiple occasions. One of our favorite monthly events is the first Thursday event. Each month is a different theme and they showcase local/ newer/ less known artists. You can also check out the rest of the museum. They often have live entertainment at these events, as well as a cash bar and food for sale. The museum has a lot of modern art, but they recently opened a new exhibit featuring classic art. It was a nice change. The exhibit is really cool and has some really special paintings The museum itself is clean and well-maintained. Parking is easy. The staff is friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend checking out OMA.

Joe S.

Yelp
OMA GAWD! We went here for a Yelp! Event to meet the new Orlando Community Manager. Part of the event was being able to explore the museum on our own. And we enjoyed ourselves. We haven't really explored too many museums as part of our travels, but looking back, I've always enjoyed them when I go. There were lots of different styles of art on display and they were separated nicely from each other. The Modern Art was the most interesting. We didn't have too much time to check out the museum and see/read everything, but depending on what theme might be on display, I could see myself going and spending a couple of hours. Based on some of the reviews, I can see maybe we're missing out on a hidden gem that we've driven by hundreds of times on our way to a Homegoods Museum of Rugs or a Whole Foods Museum of Cheese or the REI Museum of Mannequins. In a nutshell, If you have FOMO, go to OMA, because YOLO, and RIP knowing you got to go here.

Allan D.

Yelp
It was a joy to see some art up close done by the late Jean-Michel Basquiat. Unbelievable art. I don't know how else to tell you, but you need to see this exhibit when you have a chance. Trust me. The art in here is worth it...

Yelp
On my bucket list to visit more museums and today we went to Orlando to the fine Art museum. It was a lovely exhibit and we enjoyed our time there. It took us about one hour to see the entire exhibit. The security guards were really interesting to talk to about the museum and the art. Parking is ample and if you are in the mood for some art this is the place to see some interesting art. Some facts about this museum= Orlando Museum of Art Location within Florida Established1924Location2416 North Mills Avenue Orlando, Florida81 DirectorAaron De Groft, Ph.D. CuratorHansen The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization directly serving greater Orlando, Orange County and Central Florida. Yelp
Had a wonderful time in the museum with my daughter. She had to go with her college class. I went along and glad I did. We spent 2 hours looking at different artist's work. Even stopped at the little gift shop and got some cute stickers.

Alaina S.

Yelp
Attended a recent fashion event (coinciding with the Met Gala) here at OMA as a Yelp Elite and it was such a great experience! We were given champagne upon entrance (after a mini photoshoot on the red carpet) and there were passed hors d'oeuvres and open bars throughout the night. The galleries were open and guests were able to view the art collections while mingling. I will definitely be back to visit :)

Katie G.

Yelp
Beautiful selection of art among an enchanting assortment of history. Wonderful hidden gem in Winter Park. I enjoyed waking around and taking in the art and seeing the unique pieces this museum had to offer. I found myself lost in the beauty of many of the pieces, which were all unique. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Yelp
Today (Sun, 3 Jan) is the last day of the 'Points of Connection' display by Filipino-American artist JEFRË! Opened from 12 pm to 4 pm Sunday. Definitely do not want to miss this exhibit as his statues, art, and story are captivating. I found myself staring at them almost endlessly because of their modern and sleek design. If you like huge steel works of art then you have to see them! The musuem overall is well put together with some great pieces that are eclectic enough so you'll most likely find something that will resonate. It's located near the Orlando Science Center and the Mennello Art Museum so you can hit those two as well. It's also a quick car ride to some of Orlando best restaurants as well. I recommend Black Bean Deli, which is what I went to, or Hawkers Asian Street Fare!

Cindy M.

Yelp
Local gem! Visited during the Christmas tree event. Overall, it was nice, very holiday themed. It was pretty busy. It's annoying you have to pay for parking but if you don't mind walking could get a street spot in mills. You could see most all the normal exhibits too. There is a nice kid section with activities. Very cute museum, pricey but cute.

Yelp
Valentines weekend was filled with a variety of celebrations for us. Last weekend we were one of the many in town who attended the Heroes & Monsters Exhibit. I know they're in the news right now with controversy over the art's authenticity, so mostly I want to focus on the event itself. The event itself was representation of Orlando's growth and starting to mature as a city. Music, food, drinks, artists, photo ops, and of course a one in a million chance to see art created by Basquiat. It was exciting to feel the energy so positive and people dressed up to show out and enjoy our arts scene. I gave 4 stars for the event for a few reasons, most of them surrounding logistics and not truly being prepared for the crowd. We waited an hour to take pictures in front of the wall piece, thankfully we had just came from dinner so we didn't get any food that was included in the ticket but we were stuffed and we had also drank a lot with dinner so alcohol wasn't a big deal either. Had it been, we likely would have been not very impressed with the extremely long lines at both bars. I hope the museum learns from this event to minimize the crowd for a more enjoyable experience overall in the future or have better logistics/More staff to assist for better streamlining of service. I honestly don't think they were expecting the crowds that showed. It was a good event, I hope that we see now that this city is dying for more like it, but there were some bumps along the way that I also hope we're learned from. I do hope the art is authentic and that we can have another shot at seeing it better without the crowds before the exhibit ends.

Melody L.

Yelp
Support the arts! I checked out the Jefre art exhibition Points of Connection opening today to the public. The exhibit is there from October 3, 2020-January 3, 2021. It features large scale multimedia sculpture installations. My son loved the interactive parts of the exhibit. I'm a fan of Jefre's The Beacon, Code Wall and Diamond Dog art at the Lake Nona Town Center. See the Orlando Museum of Art website for their COVID-19 safety protocols. We wore masks inside the museum. I also had to buy our tickets ahead of time to reserve our time slot.

Amy A.

Yelp
Great reception with Yelp Elite. Florida exhibit featuring Florida inspired art. Fabulous photos, blown glass art, and classic paintings filled every space available. Fun to finally meet Elite in person.

Megan W.

Yelp
Orlando Museum of Art is one of my favorite places to spend time. They've got a big array of exhibits to explore, from Renaissance masters to modern urban art, stunning book illustrations to ancient artifacts, and more. OMA seeks to engage all with interactive activities in pockets of the museum. They also have many events to participate in - monthly Sketching in the Galleries fun, a book club, Yoga in the Galleries, free evening lectures and highlights tours, and more! There are even opportunities to sign up kids for their art camps at different points in the year. On top of all of this, all of my interactions with their staff have been friendly and warm. Check it out!

Laura G.

Yelp
I heard that the Orlando Museum of Art had an exhibition....Living Color: The Art of the Highwaymen and had to go. I've been a long time admirer of their work. I especially respect the work of the only original female artist...Mary Ann Carroll. The exhibition will be on display from January 24 to May 10 2020. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the artwork and learning more about the artists. It only cost $15.00 a ticket and we spent about three hours there. The rooms are very clean and has an employee present at all times. There is a museum store that has a wide range of merchandise.

Gene W.

Yelp
One of 3 museums in the Formosa Lake area, a great way to stroll and contemplate an hour or 2 away with the masters. Not too large and not too small. Plenty of free car parking in the parks' lots where the museums are located. Spend a day or an afternoon touring the collection of museums as a reprieve from the frenetics that are the Orlando amusement parks. All the museums are also part of the Bank of America museums on us program (complementary admission during the 1st full weekend of every month for cardholders).

Jay S.

Yelp
They charged for parking and even more for entrance. A bit much when most great museums are virtually free. Nice but not that many art pieces.

Miriam M.

Yelp
I absolutely love coming to this museum. I mostly go alone with my head phones in my ear listening to the smooth sounds of Joseph Solomon while viewing some of the most thought provoking pieces of art work. One of the things I most appreciate is the local art work of the kids and teens. I can imagine the joy and confidence they receive knowing that at such young age their art work is being displayed in an art museum. Going here is a whole vibe

Ariel W.

Yelp
This museum has a long history in Orlando going back to 1924 when it was founded as the Orlando Art Association. Back then the museum was an informal group of artists who met to show each other their work and critique It. In 1960 the name was changed to the Loch Haven Art Center and in 1986 it was renamed the Orlando Museum of Art. I was able to get in the museum for free with the Bank of America Museums on Us program. On the first weekend of every month this museum is free to Bank of America account holders who show their card and ID. A general admission tickets for adults is $15 and parking is free. During my visit the museum was staging the exhibit, an artist from the Philippines who now resides in a Central Florida. He has previously worked on the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. This is his first solo exhibit. A heart attack at the age of 35 during a Miami Beach design event changed his course and he went from commercial projects to focus on his own art. Of his exhibition he says " this is a journey, the inside path of how I became an artist, and in some ways, what inspired me to become an artist." I love his giant metallic box head figures. Another large figure that takes up an entire room is interactive. You can scan your face and it appears on the screen that makes up the figures head. Another piece of art made of pills represents the medicine JEFRE had to take to repair his art. Yet another piece is political and asks what it means to take a knee. All of it was very fascinating and I loved the exhibit. In addition to the temporary exhibits the museum also has a permanent collection of 2,4000 objects including paintings by Georgia O' Keeffe and Charles Sheeler given to the museum in the 1960's and The collection Art of the Ancient America's acquired in the 1970's. In 1997 the museum completed a 13.5 million dollar expansion bringing it to its current 80,000 square feet. At the beginning of this year long time museum director, Glen Gentele who headed the museum exited amid some controversy between him, board members, donors, and volunteers. The museum is at a crossroads and it will be interesting to see how the museum makes it through this transition process and the direction it will take in the future. I am excited to see what happens with this important central Florida cultural institution.

Julia S.

Yelp
Great Museum. I enjoyed it very much, especially at Jean Michel Basquiat exhibition. Amazing collection and beautiful art work pieces. You can enjoy both Classic and Modern Art objects. It's not free admission entrance, but they have military and student discounts. I am very pleased with this museum.

Sophia O.

Yelp
Fun way to spend a day. Ten dollars if you have a student ID. Very quiet and lots of great art.

Ray I.

Yelp
Festival of trees is ridiculous, same old thing every year. Trees can be seen online. The museum is lacking funds to bring good art to this area.

Timothy A.

Yelp
The orlando art museum is a pretty chill place. They have art and artifacts from several artists and time periods. It's a petty big place too so you don't have to be on top of one another. Every time I go I see some new. And the update the exhibits all the time This museum is not stuffy at all and there is so much information to take in I spent hours in there looking at everything.

Jason D.

Yelp
During this episode in Orlando, i made a stop at the Orlando MOA. It is very small when compared to others, but there is always something for anyone. Walking in, the staff was very enthusiastic about their facility, and helpful in their guidance. I went clockwise asserting the museum, working my way room by room, exhibit by exhibit. I finished my wandering in under two hours, and still left appreciative. They current main attraction temporarily being housed is Louis Dewis. Not my particular cup of tea, but an interesting story behind the fellow still. Worth a gander. Took some shots of items that interested me. Art is always worth your time, check it out.

Sam S.

Yelp
We were able to get in with our NARM membership, so since we didn't have to pay it was quite worth the visit. It has some really nice pieces of art, but seemed quite small for an art museum (although maybe that's just because my point of reference is museums in New York City). It has a nice mix of landscape paintings, abstract sculptures, and even a few interactive pieces (although the statue with a cube head didn't seem to be working properly when we visited). Make sure to check out the student wing while you're here since there are some pretty nice pieces there as well.

Luis V.

Yelp
Had a blast. Loved the exhibits they have to offer and was easy to walk around. The staff are professional and knowledgeable especially when I had questions on the art pieces. They have day passes, discounts for students and members and get discounts on special events as well. I actually came back later for an exhibit event and loved the atmosphere as well. From quiet to active this is a great place to visit. I look forward to more exhibits!

Candi B.

Yelp
Establishment was very clean, colorful, & lots of information. Yelp elite being held here to meet new Anne L CM @YelpOrlando Congratulations There was such an amazing FL Prize exhibition to see and learn about.

Lisa H.

Yelp
A smaller museum than most big cities. I was actually shocked at how much it was and how small it was. I keep looking at the map looking for the rest of the galleries. It is a 2 hour way to cool down on a hot day. The staff was sweet and very nice. The facility was very clean and cool. The contemporary collection was pretty cool. What was really awesome was the artifacts from the Mayan and Inca cultures. They had some very very cool pieces I have never seen before. If you are a fan of this period it is not to be missed. Parking can be a little challenging as it shares parking with the Science Museum. But we did find some. They do seem to have a lot of travel exhibitions coming in. The area close is Winter Park and they have a farmer's market on Saturday's

Jasmin J.

Yelp
The Orlando Museum of Art was very nice! They had some nice art pieces and sculptures that I really enjoyed. The last time I came the pieces were different so it was nice to see another set of art pieces. One of my favorites was of a statue but with a eye projected from a projector onto a cement block! That one was so creative. I appreciated the emptyness of the place because of COVID and being able to purchase my tickets ahead of time.

Joy W.

Yelp
Always neat things going on. Great exhibits. Right now The Festival Of Trees. Beautiful vibes and chulilly light ornament from n main foyer.

Todd B.

Yelp
This is one of those museums you would come to once, and probably not come back to again. Not because you didn't like it, but because you come for a specific exhibit and if they don't get another one that really calls to you, there just isn't a reason to go back. OMA is a small art museum - if you live in the Tampa/St Pete region like me, it is comparable in size to the St. Pete Museum of Fine Art. Enough space to house some smaller collections and then space for a rotating visiting collection, but nothing that can't be seen in full within a couple of hours. It's very bright with sections that have large glass windows to let in the natural light. The museum is set in a pretty green space and park near downtown, but it feels more secluded when you're there. The Orlando Science Center and a Shakespeare theatre are also in the park. We came because Melissa found that they had a Florida Highwaymen's exhibit - they were a group of African American artists in the Fort Pierce region back during the civil rights movement that painted astonishing landscapes of Florida. I love landscapes and impressionism (they also have a small impressionists exhibit that was quite impressive - not Monet quality, but still very good). These paintings were so vivid with incredible contrasts of light and shadow. The artists were amazingly talented and I'm very happy I got to see some of their work. Before Melissa found notes on the exhibit, I would have told you I had heard of the Florida Highwaymen, but I wouldn't have been able to tell you who they are. Now, I'll be looking for their work and future exhibits. This was during Covid 19, so to help you in your decision, the museum does an excellent job with safety. First, you have to go through the museum in a specific order. The route is set for you by having all other entrances and exits to each room closed off. They also only sell tickets in specific time slots, and it seems that its only 15 tickets every 30 minutes. There are hand sanitizers in every room, and everyone has to wear a mask. The place was mostly empty when were were there but all of the security and employees were in masks and all of the guests that were there kept a safe distance from each other. At no point did I feel like the risk was high. As I said, it is a nice museum, but we were there for about 70 minutes and basically saw the whole thing. If we had more time, we may have lingered for longer in front of certain items, but I don't feel like we rushed through it. Will keep my eyes open for future exhibits, but without a new and interesting exhibit, I just don't think there's a reason to return.

Yelp
I got a chance to visit this Museum over the weekend while attending a wedding here. I was really impressed with the art selections this place has to offer. The building is very organized and well kept. Hubby and I were able to check out so many cool art pieces during cocktail hours. My favorite piece was the huge blue glass piece in the middle of the place. It looks like a bunches of snake heads coming out of it, which was cool and artistic. The reception area was very pretty, the ceiling was very tall with glass windows and lovely view. The ceremony took place in the main room in front of a giant heart, which was beautifully put together with different types of beads and fabric in which I adore. We didn't get a chance to see the rest of the museum since it was blocked off with guards standing in front of each area. But we will definitely come back to check it out the next time we're in Orlando. I would recommend this Museum if you're into unique arts.

Yelp
I found it a little boring. There was so much bible artwork and I literally was yawning going through the galleries. There was a few small exhibits that were interesting I hope they expand on that like the abstracts. The gift shop featured a lot of local artists and the woman running the shop was so sweet. It looked like the events are interesting. I would just like to see a better variety of artwork. Also loved the interactive tables there. Rating based mostly on the artwork on display right now.

Yelp
We've been to museums all over the US and the OMA ranks pretty high on the list of well done museums. They offer regular events, solid exhibits and a beautiful building / layout. Most recently we once again attended their Festival of the Trees, which is always excellent. The museum has a good parking lot with a fair amount of space. On busy days you may have to park across the street, but they often offer a shuttle to assist traveling safely across the street. Once inside you'll notice their large ceilings and open layout. The Chihuly glass artwork in the front is especially beautiful. Their exhibits change frequently so be sure to check their online schedule if you want to know current info. Their website is also a great place to find a listing of events they host. Towards the front you'll find a small gift shop with some are related merch and some keepsakes for those who want to commemorate their visit. Overall: A A nice museum with an open, inviting layout. The regular events and changing exhibits keep things exciting here.

Yelp
I recently attended a private Christmas Party event in the lobby of the Art Museum. There were a few displays up that we were able to look at. First off this was a beautiful location for a private event. It was extremely clean and had such a Christmas feel to it. The art really added to the dynamic of the room and the lighting was cozy. I personally was impressed with how beautiful some of the pieces were that were just in the first two rooms I had access to. If someone enjoys art a lot this would be a great place I think for a day trip. Overall I had a very positive experience.
