Yelp
The food and service were outstanding, and it was my first time eating at Orlando's. Being 30-year residents of NM, we eat a lot of NM Cuisine and thoroughly enjoy the food here. Since it was our first time, we asked our server for recommendations and ordered the Los Colores (three different enchiladas and three different sauces) and the Grilled Shrimp & Chile Relleno combo. Christmas was great, but what blew us away was the chili caribe sauce (yes, spelled that way on the menu, not chile); wow, just outstanding. I might have to return to order something else smothered with that excellent red chili (chile) style sauce. The Relleno was superb, as were the grilled marinated shrimp. Beans and Posle were delicious. The service was excellent, and the food arrived quickly. We arrived at 5 PM for dinner time opening, and there was already a line to be seated. We sat outside on the lovely patio with our three whippets. I did try the frozen Avacodo pie, which apparently is somewhat famous here. I recommend you try it, but I have to admit, I didn't love the Avacodo flavor profile. It's an interesting dessert, and you might really enjoy it, so I recommend a try, but I'm not sure I'd order it again.
The first meal was so good that we went back on our way home and had another outstanding meal. We had their Flan, an enchiladas plate, and fish tacos, all wonderful.
