This place was so peaceful and we loved it. Beautiful walk through the forest with Ronnie, Samantha’s dad, who grew up on this land. We saw toucans, an aracari, multiple types of hummingbirds, tanagers, wrens, warblers, kiskadees, and many more. We met “Susie” the streak chested anpitta, and I hope you meet her too! I had not done any bird watching in my life, but my 20 something kid has just discovered a passion for birding and was so excited to see the birds of CR. Ronnie loaned me a very good pair of binoculars (my kid had their own). They have a new metal platform in an open area that provides great viewing in addition to the trail network.. Our three hour visit flew by in a flash, we were enjoying it so much.
This place is easily accessed via a paved road. We had a lovely breakfast made by Ronnie’s wife in their home afterwards. Highly recommend for birders.
