I have stayed in most of the major hotel group's in Guayaquil over the past 20 years.
This hotel surpasses all I have stayed in. Big surprise!
From the moment I arrived (at 1 am from a late flight), I was greeted by efficent and friendly porter and front desk. Most staff seem to understand English TG!!
This level of service continued at breakfast, where there is a large buffet including the most wonderful Ceviche. Excellent coffee is topped up every few minutes. The omlett cook is a joy to watch in action....and she knows how to softly scramble eggs, a trait not often found. The fresh fruit mix includes dragon fruit and the fresh juices range from gooseberry thru blackberry.
The coffee shop carries thru with fresh baked bread and pastries. Prices very fair for a classy mid town hotel.
Tonight I plan to visit the Gourmet French Restaurant, also in-house.
The pool is in a quite hide away sheltered spot.
I have 5 more days, which I look forward to, and I will update at the end of my stay.
So far, I have met guests from several European countries. One lovely aspect is that local business persons (men & women) appear to meet here, and the dress code within the hotel is business formal plus some.
Lobby and public spaces are finished in classy marble and wood. The artwork throughout is also a classic mix.
Living in Florida, I am used to meetings in large high quality establishments. This is up with the best of them.
