This is a fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Guayaquil! The staff were all professional, kind and helpful with standout employees: Fabian, Daniel, and Victor. Check in was smooth, and the hotel is in a safe area that is walking distance to some tourist attractions. The concierge helped me map out a walking trip to Las Penas and how to arrange a secure taxi to return.||My room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of great amenities and a safe too. The hotel also has a spa area with sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and a beautiful outdoor pool with lounge chairs. ||The restaurant serves great food and the service was excellent. The morning breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had with so many options and varieties of food including Ecuadorian specialties. ||Thank you for making my stay so special!

Amazing experience staying at this hotel! Alexander at check-in was very friendly and professional. She took care of us very quickly and easily with a beautiful smile every time. Roddy the bellman was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread each day was fit for a king or queen, everything fresh and well laid out with many choices. Byron Y who served a beautifully cooked dinner was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed even though our Spanish was limited. Everyone at this hotel couldn’t do enough for us and they all made you feel like nothing was too much for them to do for us. Absolutely LOVED this hotel, amenities and the staff. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay there again!!!

Lovely hotel well situated close to the airport in Quayaquil. The staff couldn’t be friendlier or more accommodating. The rooms are clean and beds are extremely comfortable. Room service was wonderful and quick. Recommend the chaufa!! The breakfast is extraordinary with everything you could think of offered. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Exceptional hospitality from entering the hotel, check-in, to housekeeping , and restaurant service, our experience had the feeling of cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The morning breakfast buffet was filled with fresh healthy options for all food lovers including the amazing coffee. And a kind reminder, please TIP your server, luggage carrier and room service a few dollars go along way to help and they go above and beyond to accommodate you.

I have stayed in most of the major hotel group's in Guayaquil over the past 20 years. This hotel surpasses all I have stayed in. Big surprise! From the moment I arrived (at 1 am from a late flight), I was greeted by efficent and friendly porter and front desk. Most staff seem to understand English TG!! This level of service continued at breakfast, where there is a large buffet including the most wonderful Ceviche. Excellent coffee is topped up every few minutes. The omlett cook is a joy to watch in action....and she knows how to softly scramble eggs, a trait not often found. The fresh fruit mix includes dragon fruit and the fresh juices range from gooseberry thru blackberry. The coffee shop carries thru with fresh baked bread and pastries. Prices very fair for a classy mid town hotel. Tonight I plan to visit the Gourmet French Restaurant, also in-house. The pool is in a quite hide away sheltered spot. I have 5 more days, which I look forward to, and I will update at the end of my stay. So far, I have met guests from several European countries. One lovely aspect is that local business persons (men & women) appear to meet here, and the dress code within the hotel is business formal plus some. Lobby and public spaces are finished in classy marble and wood. The artwork throughout is also a classic mix. Living in Florida, I am used to meetings in large high quality establishments. This is up with the best of them.

Oliver at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! I couldn’t check in online for my flight home and he spent lots of time with me until he figured out the problem. I so appreciated his help! He’s an exceptional representative for your hotel!

Hard to imagine why you'd be looking for a hotel in Guayaquil except as an alternative to Quito as a jumping-off point for flying to the Galapagos, but if you were, no need to look beyond the first-rate Oro Verde.. Three restaurants, a fun bar, friendly staff, good-size comfy rooms with all the amenities you'd expect (but bring your own wash cloth!), a fine outdoor pool, and an airport shuttle service. We were there in December and also enjoyed the Christmas decorations and music.

This was the first hotel we stayed at on our National Geographic/Lindblad expedition to the Galapagos Islands. The Oro Verde was luxurious and seemed like an oasis in the city of Guayaquil. The pool is small, but warm and Instagram-worthy. I enjoyed the workout room for stretching, treadmill, and showers. The cafe is affordable and has many delicious pastries. The gift shop is small, but I saw some items in there that I didn't see later in my travels. Our room was huge and the rain shower in a deep tub was magnificent...I'm not sure I've ever experienced such water pressure before! We ordered room service, so we didn't experience the restaurants, but I heard from fellow travellers that the Swiss fondue restaurant was very good.
