Oro Verde Guayaquil

A huge and brilliant hotel, so well styled with very attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure your stay is as perfect as it can be. They even come and check on you about 10 minutes after check-in to ensure everything in the room is ok for you. The hotel has fragrance misters dotted around so there is a constant wonderful aroma. Everything is clean and sparkling. The bedroom was huge with 2 massive beds and a very nice large bathroom which included decent toiletries. A selection of restaurants to choose from, we tried 2; El Patio and La Fondue - both were very good! There is also a coffee / cake place and a shop to buy gifts and art work. The swimming pool is a really nice temperature and perfect to cool off after a hot day out and about. Breakfast was the best we had in Ecuador - the choice was absolutely incredible, I just couldn’t try everything as there is so much to choose from, everything tasted great. The only minor thing is that there are 2 bottles of water in the room but you can’t get bottles of water from anywhere else in the evening as it’s not recommended to go outside at night and the hotel do not provide extras.

The problem with the hotel is that they under construction. However, they give us a very old smelly room it was really disgusted seeing it. I go down to the reception and ask my money back. Certainly they apologised, and offere us a better room.So be aware of this, i do not recommend to book this hotel. The only thing I was impressed was the breakfast.

As a long-time visitor to Guayaquil, the Hotel Oro Verde has always been my first and only choice. From the moment you arrive, the staff is welcoming, genuinely friendly, and consistently goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and well cared for. The level of service, attention to detail, and professionalism make every stay effortless and enjoyable. It truly feels like a home away from home, and I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

It is a very nice hotel. I went for a conference, I was around 4 days, in which I had a very pleasant experience, the rooms are very comfortable , the service is very good and the food is delicious, the conference room is nice and the employees give a very good treatment, highly recommended!

Dissatisfied and disappointing! To begin the management changed my 6 months in advance room reservation and supposedly due to the inconvenience they upgraded my reservation. Well it was a downgrade. The room was old, smelly as mildew and the A/C didn't work properly. A total disappointment for a so-called 4 star hotel. When in Guayaquil choose a different opinions such as the Hilton, Radisson, Sheraton better hotels that lived up to their reputation and at the same price.

My first time in Ecuador, first time in Guayaquil, after my trip to Galapagos, loved ORO Verde Hotel stay for 4 nights. Staff and hotel were more than what was my impression from the booking site. If I ever in Guayaquil again , I will pick this hotel again. Cheers to all from Canada 🇨🇦

Everything is perfect but the lobby and the halfways are not very welcoming to people that has odor hypersensitivity. The diffusers run every ten minutes making it difficult to enjoy the cafeteria, lobby or hallways.

Nice hotel. We didn’t even make it to the desk and were handed a key on envelope and pointed to elevator. No customer service really. Had to call for the WiFi so we could check in for flights. Restaurant are closed Sunday to Wednesday and we were staying Saturday until Monday. Buffet lunch dinner and breakfast was okay but not as amazing as they say. It was very busy. We had a meal at lunchtime and signed the paperwork for this to be on our room. No one asked for payment until later at night when we had a phone call that we had to pay the bill and we had to get out of bed as someone coming to the room with card machine! Pool area ok but the area around pool gets very very hot you need shoes. Loungers are plastic and uncomfortable but they do have 4 fabric ones if you can get them. Gym is better equipped that usual hotels with gyms and pool is heated. Changing rooms nice with sauna and jacuzzi and plunge pool. Rooms are very nice and toiletries supplied and lovely fluffy towels as well.
