Oroshi is tucked near the entrance of a sketchy alleyway. There's 2 lit signs - 1 on the main sidewalk to help guide you there, then another one to mark your destination.
There's a few steps to get in, so it's not accessible. Brightly lit and clean inside, you're first greeted with their fridge filled with different fish hung on hooks. To the left is a beverage, sides, and condiment fridge, along with a pantry area for small grocery purchases. Mostly self-produced, a few third-party choices. To your right is the ordering counter and an open kitchen with a small team busily working through orders. Behind you, of course, is the door, but also some merch available for purchase. There is no room to dine in.
I ordered the regular set (contains 3(?) Nigiri & a california roll), salmon temaki, and miso soup. I purchased the ika wasabi (in a jar, made by them), yuzu iced tea (bottled, made by them), and wasabi powder (small jar, made by them). Overall, I liked the regular set, salmon temaki, and miso soup. It was worth paying for. I felt the ika wasabi was too fishy, which really turned me off - I love tako wasabi, but this wasn't for me. Yuzu iced tea was a bit too strong in the tea and sugar flavour. I think it would be refreshing if poured over ice. I'm excited to try the wasabi powder when I get the chance!
The service was really friendly and quick! The team was attentive and took care with each order. I would return if I'm in the area.
