Recently attended the Rock Orchestra at the Orpheum. Parking was convenient & easy to find.
Our tickets were purchased well in advance and were not cheap. Checking in was a breeze and flowed quickly. The staff was friendly, helpful and quickly stopped that were ppl filming. There is a notice on their website saying weapons (knives, guns or umbrellas with points) are NOT allowed. The metal detectors were quick, but I felt vulnerable being downtown unarmed. 😜
We did not purchase beverages because everything was 10+.
I took off stars because of the seats.
The seats were very tight & not made for ppl 6+ft or 200+lbs. My partner had bruised knees the next day and I had elbows and shoulders poking me from both sides during the entire performance. The armrests are not moveable & both of us had trouble seeing the stage. Definably choose balcony seating for the view.
Overall we were both uncomfortable.
Thank goodness the music was distracting & there was a 15 min intermission. 👍
The Rock Orchestra was nice and loud with lots of popular songs but the male and female singers were not as impressive.
Both of us agreed we would not attend a future performance.
