Hands down the best Marriott branded hotel I've ever stayed at in the world. Out of all the top tier Marriott Hotels that I have been to (Ritz Carlton, St Regis, JW Marriott), the service here ranked the highest. They really treated you like royalty and it was genuine. The room was gorgeous with an amazing view of Ortigea. The furniture was exquisite. We really wished that we could have stayed longer.

Our stay at the Ortea Palace Hotel in Siracusa, Sicily, was exceptional in every regard. The location proved ideal for exploring this beautiful historic city, while the service staff consistently delivered attentive, professional care that exemplified true hospitality. Frederica is a very talented young lady in hotel service. I’m so touched that you remembered I prefer my double shots cappuccino coffee with oat milk. Thank you for arranging that beautiful room with view. The breakfast service was outstanding, offering a wonderful selection to start each day. What makes this property particularly remarkable is its thoughtful modern renovation of a historic post office building from the 1920s. The designers have masterfully balanced contemporary luxury with the building’s architectural heritage, creating interiors and exteriors that honor the past while embracing modern elegance. This hotel fully deserves its 5-star rating across all categories. The Ortea Palace represents the perfect blend of history, design, location, and service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siracusa.

Stayed just one night at Ortea Palace Hotel, but it felt like a special escape. Anna at reception checked us in smoothly, and Silvia was just as kind and helpful later on. The atmosphere of the hotel — elegant, calm, and intimate — made our stay truly enjoyable. Frederica made great drinks at the bar, and dinner was wonderful thanks to Paola’s warm and attentive service. Breakfast the next morning with Serana was relaxed and delicious, the perfect way to end a memorable stay. Ortea Palace is the kind of place where even one night can turn into a lasting memory.

We had an incredible stay at the Ortea Palace Hotel! From the moment we arrived, Gianluca made us feel so welcome — he’s absolutely amazing! Friendly, professional, and genuinely kind, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. He really set the tone for our whole stay. A thank you to Fabrizio at breakfast, who made the best cappuccinos and took such great care of us every morning. The hotel itself is stunning, but it’s the people like Gianluca and Fabrizio who make it truly special.

Our stay at the Ortea Palace was exceptional Sylvia gave us an excellent orientation of all the amenities offered. Sylvia went above and beyond to make our stay special. The junior suite view was unbelievable. The breakfast offered was superb. They accommodated my wife with celiac disease splendidly. The options were limitless. Fredrica treated us incredibly well and clearly cares about the guests experience no matter what country they are from. The four stars on service is for the 99% positive experience we had with the staff. The location of the hotel is truly unmatched. Marriott for the win per usual.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Everything here is beautiful without feeling too modern. It is a wonderful, calm respite in the midst of a bustling area. The staff is amazing and go out of their way to assist in any needs and welcome you back each time you return to your room. The breakfast is amazing and the bar area is a great place for a snack and drink to relax. I also went to the spa (facial & pedicure) very relaxing and welcome! I would definitely stay here again!

Such a cool hotel set in a beautifully restored old post office! The city of Syracuse is absolutely charming, and this place made our stay even better. Breakfast was fantastic with special thanks to Arianna and Elena for their warm hospitality and excellent service. Every detail, from the accommodations to the staff, was top-notch. We’d definitely love to return!

What an absolutely stunning hotel in all respects. Our room was amazing, with such attention to detail by the daily housekeeping staff. The reception staff were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was perfect and the staff were very attentive, their service was superb. We’ll definitely stay again

Everything was as expected and then some. My previous review of the property highlighted our initial contacts. This review highlights Arianna, tireless when it comes to set up of meal area and her clients as well as Sandro and Helene. They were simply outstanding in the service and care they provided to us. Not sure where to start with this review other than "yes" across all fronts. If not the only, certainly one of the few places we stayed in Italy where the service exceeded our expectations. During breakfast and dinner, servers came by frequently to check up on us, we never had to wait for coffee, etc. The concierge was equally friendly and helpful. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location for exploring Ortijia. Right across the street from the street market, and not far from all the other typical tourist destinations, it's a hard place to beat. And a multi-floor room? With two bathrooms? Marble floors & staircase? Outstanding. Corner rooms feature a tub next to the bed too.

Outstanding hotel. Great attention to detail, wonderful staff, everything is immaculate, beautiful room. The front desk, especially Maria and Conchetta, were extraordinarily helpful.

This could have been one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed within. Its palatial and the location and service was excellent. We were greeted with champagne and chocolates upon arrival into our room. We had a Duplex Suite that overlooked the water front and the breakfast buffet was gourmet. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a true 5 star experience.
