Ortem

I had high expectations from ortem obviously coz i drive pass daily n see lots of people dining in. Service was really good n staff were very hospitable. Strawberry cake was out of the world. It was so rich in flavour n definitely a must try dessert. Steak was also nice. But, the main dissatisfaction was with coffee. I ordered long black triple shot. Maybe its ortem coffee which is dark roast. I always drink long black. But, I found theirs was kinda dark roast so i couldn’t enjoy it though it looks really amazing n definitely made by very skilled barista with great crema on top. Besides, the salmon dish which i was really excited about was visibly appealing n looked really nice but not cooked properly leaving the salmon uncooked n raw. It looked properly grilled from outside but was raw inside. However, the atmosphere was really nice n staff were very attentive.

Was welcomed very kindly by the staff, excellent customer experience from a service stand point. Ordered a flat white coffee, came out promptly and was decent. Got the bacon and eggs with an extra rosti, house made and delicious. Atmosphere was very nice outside. Many plants made it feel very comfortable. The server asked me if I wanted a second coffee, was a great choice on the upsell. All in all. Fantastic experience

First time coming here with my partner and it was the best, amazing pancakes to satisfy my stomach. Nice staff that will serve you with a smile and see if you need anything else before leaving your table. Definitely coming here again.

Great little cafe to enjoy breakfast or lunch. We visited for breakfast and were greeted immediately before being shown to an empty table. After ordering, our drinks took about 10min to arrive, and the meals about 20min, which seemed very reasonable. All meals were good sized and value for money, we spent about $30 per person for a drink and meal. Service was very friendly. The atmosphere was a little loud once the cafe filled up, but it's to be expected, and didn't personally impact our conversation.

Absolutely gorgeous little cafe, very friendly staff, really delicious food. Got both their specials and they were very yummy and beautifully presented. Good coffee too Editing my review to reflect our service today. Unfortunately it was very busy and it looked as though they were severely understaffed. I had to go get our menus, it took 15 minutes for the table to be cleared, our drink order was forgotten about and it took over 40minutes for our food to arrive. Food was good, staff were kind but seemed as though they needed about 2-3 more staff on.

Went twice while in Toowoomba, fantastic food and coffee. Probably the best chicken burger I've ever had.

First time coming to this restaurant, staff was so amazing and lovely, tried this new freak shake spring matcha soo yum and thick definitely worth it Got the bene with salmon was good but I feel like for the price the portions is a bit small and the salmon was extra salty but apart from that would definitely come again.

The menu on the Website is nothing like the menu available at the cafe. The selection is very limited. Only 2 from 4 white wines available. The lunch menu is burger, sandwich, salad. The salad was not available that day. The burger I had was a beef patty, pickle and mayo $28!! It has been a while since I have been to this cafe and previously always enjoyed the food. The service is average. I was very disappointed to invite my friend for lunch at Ortem

Day two and the lovely guys remembered my coffee order, opened the door for me and obliged another 'primal' mismatch for breakfast. I really love this place and clearly the staff love what they do too.

Service - the cafe wasn't excessively busy when we arrived, so even though we had reserved a table, we were able to move. Once situated our drink orders were taken relatively quickly. It took quite a bit of time for our food orders to be taken. The staff are very friendly and have wonderful attitudes. Drinks - the coffee was okay. Tasted good but could have been hotter. THE JUICE IS THE BEST JUICE IN TOOWOOMBA! Food - the presentation was great. The food was colourful and looked extremely tasty. However, they used too much vinegar when poaching the eggs and the rest of the food tasted rather bland.

With ingredients wonderfully fresh and coffee made with expert skill, we've found each visit to Ortem to be relaxing and peaceful. The friendly table service is just the tip of the iceberg for a genuinely enjoyable late breakfast my wife and I enjoy often.

The first time I went here, i absolutely loved it. The coffee was great and the food even better. However, went back yesterday and was a little bit dissapointed. The food looked liked it wAs just quickly placed on the plate and wasnt As appealing as the first time

Every time we go here for breakfast or lunch the staff are really friendly & efficient and they are super accommodating with menu alterations, unlike some of the other cafes in town. good coffee, food is really tasty, always a few vegetarian options, good unpretentious little cafe :-)

Went today for breakfast. Sat for 20 minutes and was not served despite others around me being served. Just not good enough.
