Orthodox Church of the Annunciation

Located on the Ul Od Puka, a beautifully maintained and decorated church to visit in Dubrovnik. I don't know too much about churches, but can appreciate the architecture and interiors. This is a nice place to visit and spend a few minutes to have a look around. Quite busy on a Sunday with congregation members turning up and tourists wanting to look inside, but easy to find and close to the Pile gate.

An Orthodox church in the centre of the old city of Dubrovnik. Byzantine style. Very peaceful. Next to the church they have a small shop selling hand painted icons, worth looking at.

This Serbian Orthodox church was built in 1877 in Neo-Byzantine style but damaged during the seige of the city. It was restored in 2009. I didn't visit the adjoining museum but the interior of the church has a very decorative ceiling and altarpiece.

Just a short walk from the Stradun, built in 1877 on land bought by rich trader Božo Bošković in the style of the Byzantine Revival. It like many buildings in Dubrovnik suffered damage from the bombing during the Siege of Dubrovnik in 1991.

The Orthodox Church in Dubrovnik is a tranquil oasis amidst the city's bustling energy. Its understated exterior belies the rich history and spiritual significance within. The interior is a serene space adorned with icons and religious artifacts that offer a glimpse into Orthodox traditions. While smaller in scale compared to some of Dubrovnik's more prominent churches, it exudes a charm and authenticity that is truly captivating. A visit here provides a unique opportunity to experience a different side of the city's religious heritage.
