Os Arcos

The food is absolutely brilliant, delicious traditional Portuguese food. I was a bit upset because my drink took very, very long to arrive, I had to ask 4 times and took about 30 minutes to get my passion fruit sangria which it was very good. The first person who served us (an older guy) it was a terrible waiter, the second one (a very young boy) was brilliant! Everything tasted so good, so fresh, I wish we live near it to be regular clients. I couldn’t believe I paid less than 52€ for such a good food in such a touristic area. I will certainly be back next year when I return on holidays!

Such delicious food! Perfect rice dishes and amazing grilled sardines. Very tasty oysters. The Steak on a Stone is very flavorful and tender, and beautifully served. Gorgeous location with a view of the river and moon rise. Very nice seating indoors and out. Hustling wait staff really show they get the idea of 'service'. And at these prices, you can really enjoy a fabulous meal!

Brilliant experience at Os Arcos! From start to finish all staff were fantastic and made the evening very enjoyable. Superb food - all of us had the piri piri chicken as our main which was really tasty. Good range of starters to begin with too. Great value and an ideal vibe about the restaurant. Highly recommend!

Started fine - cheese and olives and we ordered our mains - as hungry we chose main course only - we waited over 30 minutes and it still did t arrive - what is so difficult to cook pork egg and chips and pork filet with peppercorn sauce - the owner did t even both let to come to our table to apologise for the error - so we left after a bottle of wine and no food, no apology and we even had to ask for a discount t for their errors …sad but true traditional Portuguese is not always the best option :(

A huge T bone steak for €15 wow ! Tasty food and drink, with the backdrop of the marina beautiful

This is a good place . My wife and I stopped here for something to eat, I had grilled swordfish and my wife had had grilled chicken, her fries were a bit greasy but apart from that it was really nice. We had no complaints.

How times have changed!! We went for our dinner at Arcos. First off I had to ask the waiter for a clean fork as there was food leftovers on it,he did that npz. I had the Swordfish which I would usually have but I didn't like the long,dark hair which was in it. I reported it to the owner who apologised & had my meal made again. My hubby had to eat alone & after about 15 mins my meal arrived which I ate on my own. I asked for the bill & it was €43 which was an overcharge of nearly €10, they had charged us for food which we didn't order or get. Moral of the story is to check for hairs & check that your bill is correct. We were not even offered 1 cent off, I should have asked for the Complaints Book!! I certainly won't be back

The soup was very good. The grilled swordfish was not so impressive. It lacked the tastes I was looking for. The service is not so good which is typical of portugal. Lazy people who hate to work. I give it two stars only because of the soup. Otherwise it would have been zero stars.
