Interesting experience dining by the water with freshly caught seafood that’s grilled to order.
• Book ahead on their website, didn’t get a confirmation but I called ahead to ensure they got my reservation.
• The hut is a short 200m walk from the parking with a lovely view. Can get quite warm in the afternoon on a clear day.
• Fixed set meal per person that comes with a variety of seafood like turban shell, scallops, fish, seasoned rice and mochi.
You can opt to top up abalone, spiny lobster based on seasonal prices. They will confirm with you the price before proceeding to cook. When we visited in Nov 2025 abalone and lobster was around ¥3~4,000 per piece.
• There’s a makeshift toilet on site but not the cleanest as expected. Lots of houseflies as well.
• Baby-friendly-ish: no baby seats but they were accommodating with our baby, managed to dine with baby sitting on our lap.
• We don’t speak Japanese so there was a language barrier, but the Amas were very kind and welcoming. They were also explaining the process to the other Japanese-speaking diners.
• Payment via card or credit card. Let them know ahead of time if paying with credit card.
