I would like to write a review about our experience tonight. We booked in for dinner this evening, two friends sharing an evening. What a great place to meet, it was relaxed and had a lovely atmosphere. The food and drinks were delicious, would highly recommend it all. We had the pleasure of meeting Chloe a beautiful, friendly waitress, after a tiny altercation with another waiter, Chloe was friendly, courteous and just lovely, she actually lifted my thoughts regarding the restaurant. I hope the management realise what a treasure and professional service person, Chloe is to their business. Thankyou Chloe

Oscars in Ballarat is a lovely place to catch up with friends, especially for a relaxed weekend brunch. The space is warm and inviting, with plenty of room for groups, and they make things easy by offering split payments—a big plus when dining with a crowd. The cocktails were excellent, well-made and thoughtfully presented. They added a fun, celebratory touch to the morning and were definitely one of the highlights of our visit. While the overall experience was great, I did order a pizza that unfortunately fell short—it was a bit dry and lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. That said, the rest of the menu looked appealing, and I’d love to come back and try something different next time. The service was friendly and efficient, and the vibe was laid-back and comfortable. Oscars is a solid pick for brunch or a casual get-together, with plenty of charm and good drinks to enjoy along the way.

A lovely, charming restaurant with a warm character and delicious food. We always get a good meal here and excellent service. It isn't one of the cheaper places in town for good reason. We have been here many times to celebrate different occasions, or just for a hot drink and cake. We'll worth a visit if you are in Ballarat.

Best breakfast I have eaten for a long time. Great gluten free and vegan options. They took great care to ensure my breakfast met my dietary needs. My eggs were beautifully cooked and the vegetables were so fresh and delicately prepared. Just beautiful food.

🤧 Comfortable stay and delicious food in the heart of Ballarat We recently stayed at Oscar’s Hotel and had a really enjoyable experience. The room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable nicely furnished with a cozy bed and thoughtful touches. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Ballarat, but surprisingly quiet at night for such a central spot. We also dined at the café bar downstairs and were really impressed. I had the salmon, which was cooked beautifully crispy skin and perfectly seasoned. My partner ordered the Margherita pizza, which was light, fresh, and full of flavour. A simple dish, but done really well. Great cocktails too! Service throughout our stay was friendly and professional, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. We’d happily stay here again perfect spot for a relaxed weekend away with great food and a cozy atmosphere.

Cafe is outstanding, delicious fresh food and a fantastic menu. Lots to choose from and a great atmosphere too. Staff are very pleasant,friendly and helpful. Cassie,Helen,Brett and Ashlee were absolutely outstanding too. Highly Recommend

Our breakfast was perfect.. Theres something to be said of places like this that can just put out simple and elegant meals with out over complicating or trying to hard.. when you do something well, make it yours and keep doing it. Everyone tgat served us was friendly and smiling

A fabulous hotel in the middle of town. Servers were cheerful and helpful and food was delicious. Very generous serves which were appreciated.

Honestly, I found this pub to be rather dull, but I suspect that that might have had something to do with it basically being the bistro of a proper hotel as opposed to a pub. Still, it really wasn't a place that grabbed my imagination, particularly since there was a limited number of beers on tap as well. Still, the place was okay, just not great.

Staying at the Ballarat Premier Apartments around the corner and Oscars offer a delivery service to your room! I had a pizza and chicken salad and both were delicious. Pizza was warm not hot but as it's the middle of winter and about 0 degrees outside u won't blame this on the restaurant. Salad was huge so managed to have some for lunch the next day also. Would absolutely recommend this place as somewhere to grab a mean whilst in Ballarat

Excellent food, impeccable service and over the top ambience... highly recommend. Referred by a woman working in a store around the corner... she was right on. We had satay beef, spinach, pumpkin, tomatoes with sweet chilli sauce with chips.
