From New Cruise Ships to Adventurous Itineraries, There’s More to Come for Cruising in 2022

"On the heels of launching its new expedition ship, Sylvia Earle, in November 2022, Aurora Expeditions will launch new Patagonia trek itineraries through Chile. According to the adventure line, the new itineraries will “dovetail seamlessly” as an add-on tour to its Antarctic expeditions, many of which set off from Ushuaia, Argentina. (Transportation between Argentina and Chile is arranged as part of the tours.) On the 10-day itineraries, travelers will hike rugged paths to sites like the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Ascencio Valley. There will be plenty of wildlife sightings along the way, including Andean condors, rheas, flamingoes, and guanacos. Even better: The tours are limited to a small group of just 20 hikers, ensuring the serenity of the glacial lakes and snow-capped mountains remains intact. Once on board the Sylvia Earle, travelers can unwind in a heated saltwater pool, as well as participate in classic expedition activities, like citizen science programs, Zodiac boat rides, and more."

Really lovely hostel! Nice beds, hot showers, WiFi great for working in common areas! Would stay again! Front desk was also very nice. Standard free breakfast was good! Taxis to town center were only a few dollars on uber - didn’t try walking hut was probably fine too!

We stayed at Oshovia for six nights. Everything was perfect, we have nothing to complain about, and I would highly recommend this hostel to everyone! We had two beds in a shared four bed dorm. The lockers in the rooms were big enough to fit our packed travel backpacks (so we didn't have to unpack). The beds have privacy curtains. The room doors are secured with a pincode. Bathrooms were clean and cleaned every day. The showers were instantly hot. Wifi was probably we best we had on our trip so far. During peak hours the kitchen (especially the one faucet) could get crowded, but that's to expect in a popular area. There is a clear system of labelling and everything is explained on check-in. Breakfast was always on time and definitely enough. You could ask to have it prepared if you leave early. At the reception you can book transportation to different hot spots (national park, Esmeralda, etc). We especially liked one of the spots in the shared area that had floor heating - it was super cozy! The hostel is located a good 35 minutes walk from the center, but that's easily manageable. Again, highly recommend this place.

Nice hostal, had all amenities, staff other than receptionists were not very friendly and hardly greeted you. I got a private room and it was ok, not as clean as I would've liked. The towels smelled like they weren't washed properly, and the duvet cover seemed to have been sprayed with tons of perfume (I suffer allergies so I had a congested nose during my stay). The atmosphere wasn't the best.

Wonderful hostel located outside of the main touristy area of Ushuaia, while still easy to get Ubers everywhere. Super friendly and helpful staff who were able to give recommendations on what to see and do. The breakfast was included and also decent. I travelled in winter so didn't have the chance to use the outdoor patio, but it looked nice. Due to the season and time of week when I stayed, it wasn't the most social atmosphere in the hostel, but overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Really nice hostel. A little more expensive than you can find elsewhere in Ushuaia, but in my opinion worth it. Comfortable beds with curtains, lockers, hot showers in clean bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a decent enough breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly too. Would stay again!

Very nice atmosphere at the hostel, Marco and Kanela taking god care of you. Very clean- and organized- really could recommend this hostel. It is a bit away from the city center- about 30 min walk- but the price is good. There are a lot of pizzerias and super marked around there

Our private room was as nice as any hotel. Glad to have the kitchen to make our own dinners. We do wish the breakfast started earlier. It was from 8 to 10am. The whole hostel was very clean. Great location near two grocery stores and the "best" restaurant in Ushuaia: Asia Gourmet.
