From New Cruise Ships to Adventurous Itineraries, There’s More to Come for Cruising in 2022
"On the heels of launching its new expedition ship, Sylvia Earle, in November 2022, Aurora Expeditions will launch new Patagonia trek itineraries through Chile. According to the adventure line, the new itineraries will “dovetail seamlessly” as an add-on tour to its Antarctic expeditions, many of which set off from Ushuaia, Argentina. (Transportation between Argentina and Chile is arranged as part of the tours.) On the 10-day itineraries, travelers will hike rugged paths to sites like the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Ascencio Valley. There will be plenty of wildlife sightings along the way, including Andean condors, rheas, flamingoes, and guanacos. Even better: The tours are limited to a small group of just 20 hikers, ensuring the serenity of the glacial lakes and snow-capped mountains remains intact. Once on board the Sylvia Earle, travelers can unwind in a heated saltwater pool, as well as participate in classic expedition activities, like citizen science programs, Zodiac boat rides, and more."
It’s a tiny bit far from the main tourist area. An easy, flat 20 minute walk to the center. There are a few takeout restaurants nearby and a small grocery store. For proper sit-down restaurants you have to walk 20 minutes. Uber is also an option. ||I am a bit older traveller. Dormitory style sleeping and shared bathroom are not my thing anymore! Oshovia has very nice private rooms with private bathroom. I enjoyed 9 nights of affordable privacy in a hostel! The money I saved staying at Oshovia went towards excursions.||I would stay at Oshovia again. If you are a younger backpacker this is perfect for you! Or, if you are 50+ and just want an inexpensive but comfortable place to stay, Oshovia also works. Best of both worlds!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. It’s not in the center of Ushuaia, but it’s located in a very quiet area, with a small garden, a good kitchen, and a comfortable common area. My stay was very nice!

Spent three nights at this hostel and found it to be a good value for the money. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly without being overly social. Staff were helpful when needed and didn't bother you otherwise. Rooms were clean enough, showers had hot water, and the WiFi worked consistently. The kitchen had the basics for cooking simple meals. Everything worked as it should. Would stay again if I'm back in town.

Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Location near airport. A little bit far away from city center but you can always call uber. It is so cheap!!! There is a big supetmarket nearby and it is easy to buy groceries if you want to cook yourselves. Breakfast is good too. You can try different kind of local bread. Owner is helpful and informative.

Staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations, even for other places like Buenos Aires. I found the hostel really spacious, well equipped, clean, comfortable and nice decor. The only downside was the walk into the main town was around 30 mins

Great stay, very clean and comfortable Hostel. Very nice and helpful staff! Very high recommended. The kitchen is full equipped and the common area is really cozy. Good vibes. 25 minute walk to the city center, but that is pretty alright. Supermarket, Kiosk next to the hostel.
