Came here for NYE in 2023 and enjoyed it so much that we came back for NYE 2024. Food was excellent, the music was top shelf, and the ambiance was just right for a slow meal to count down the final hours of the year. The NYE Prix Fixe menu isn’t cheap! And I was a bit take aback when the server essentially asked for a tip when running our card. I took the bait, but it sort of cast a shadow on an otherwise perfect evening. All said, classy place with great food. Would go again.

You have to eat here. I tried entercote, french steak. Food is amazing, enterior is lush; they are amazing.

Had a spontaneous dinner there. Spacious restaurant with tasty food.

Not a single remark on the menu and the food. Everything outstanding, the kitchen was flawless. 👌 The service was terrible. The waiter was very stressed out and rude. And very condescendant. Not up to the level and the price they ask for. I pity for the kitchen staff that suffers from this. Will not come back.

Great French brasserie in the centre of Munich. Huge windows, vaulted ceilings and delicious food. Will be back.

Wonderful, delectable french dining at reasonable prices. They understand seafood. The sauces could be a tad salty but with a little bread it was perfect.

A good varation of vegetarian and vegan options. The Beyond burger tasted wonderfully. For the first time I had a juicy plant based burger. The Bowl was delightful as well.

Writing this at the "lange nacht der musik". It's obvious this place is newly reopened... Waited for a long time just to order some drinks at the bar (all the tables were taken). The waiters keep pushing through people, and even managed to drop a pizza on the floor. Sure seems like they haven't had any events like this before... Hopefully once you see this review some time has passed and they have some experience now? The music was 10/10 though.

Yelp
Been here twice - New Year's Eve both times. Very classy bistro, excellent food, and truly excellent live jazz. Pricey on NYE, but a great way to bring n the new year.

Yelp
Pretty good food especially the pasta dishes but the service can be slow at peak time. Most of the staff is very nice but there are exceptions. And the exceptions still ask for ...tips ! But above all, their terrace is great and off the tourists' path. So...worth visiting.

Yelp
Food here was pretty decent. I got the Caesar Salad with prawns and received a decent portion. Flavours paired well together, and the prawns were deliciously buttery. The restaurant itself was a bit hard to locate at first. We walked past it 3 times, thinking that a museum had a neat restaurant, but not realizing that it was the restaurant we were looking for. What brings the rating down is the service. Our waiter was really abrupt and short with us. Perhaps because of a language barrier, but he always seemed to be in a rush to get away from us. We tried to find him to pay for our bill, but tried to repeatedly get his attention, but he didn't notice us. Overall, if I was in the area, would return. But be mindful of the service!

Yelp
Pleasant place with a limited but good wine list/menu. Businessmen love this place, that's why you may see more suits than in the average place, and prices are a bit on the high end, probably for this very reason. Still the summer terrace is lovely, in one of the nicest streets/areas in town.

Yelp
Once, this place was a marketsquare in Munich. Then, at some point in the 19th century, the current building was erected: downstairs, it stayed a covered market, and upstairs became a primary school. And now, downstairs is a brasserie and upstairs are some literature related companies. The location is great: just behind the Theatinerkirche of which you see a baroque tower rising above a house across the street, next to the oldest church in the centre of town. Yet, the street is surprisingly quiet. Between the pillars of the once-market are now large windows that let in a lot of light. You can have breakfast, a light lunch, a cake with tea in the afternoon and even dinner here. Read a book or a newspaper (there are quite a few, even the IHT) or watch the world go by. Nice fashionable crowd. And the barman manages to draw a heart in the latte..

Yelp
Good delicious food, not too many selections but each is delicately made, with just the right amount not to leave leftovers.

Yelp
I will start with the positives: Friendly staff, beautiful classic building with a modern touch, nice out doors location with great seating. Salads are very nice and some dishes just from the description I will go back to try. On the negative side: the coffee was not so good, the deserts I felt were worse(the one time I had gone with 3 people and we all had the same response with different selections). As mentioned before the service was good but 2 times I had gone there the tables were dirty.

Yelp
I have been here a few times for breakfast and can comment on the following: Pro: the beautiful building and atmosphere, good coffee, friendly service, delicious omelet as well as the Norwegian bagel, OK prices for breakfast Con: Pastry did not seem very fresh, the bloody mary did not taste very good

Yelp
The only good thing about the Literaturhaus is the venue itself. The service was slow distracted and mistake-prone, the food was utterly average and way too expensive for what you actually get. Cannot recommend.
