been coming here for a few years — coffee is always great, but they recently started selling these cookies that blew my MIND! probably the best chocolate chip cookie i’ve ever had. go snag one if you have the chance!!!!

I’ll admit I’m not usually a fan of coffee for the taste. I drink it more for the caffeine than the flavor. But I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the iced mocha at Oslo Coffee. It completely changed my perspective. The drink had a perfect balance, not overly sweet, not too bitter. The texture stood out most. The combination of steamed milk and chilled coffee made it both rich and refreshing, especially on a warm day. It was flavorful without being overpowering, smooth without being heavy. This is easily one of the best iced mochas I’ve ever had and I’m already looking forward to coming back next time I'm in New York. Highly recommend even for non-coffee lovers like myself

I came here after a doctors appointment in the area and just needed a place to sit and read for a bit. I sat at the large table in the front and slowly lots of people started coming and sitting down and chatting with each other. All local to the area I found out. Especially loved local celebrity Mikey who was quick to chat me up, give me some health advice, and speak highly of his Oslo friends. Seeing this type of community in a local coffee shop felt so beautiful in a way. I’m so happy they have this place to come and chat about cameras, knit, introduce their visiting mother, or have their young children around. And they all met by just spending a bit of time off their phone and engaging with one another. I will be coming back and will be sat at the big table to chat a bit and meet some very kind folks.

Out of all the coffee shops I’ve tried in Williamsburg, this one has been consistently the best with high quality espresso. Go to coffee shop for a the easiest, best flat white. Also, my favorite fresh espresso beans to use at home (Odin for espresso and Frye for dark roast coffee).

There is no WiFi & outlet available and poor cellphone service (T-mobile is our carrier.) inside Oslo Coffee Roasters. It was not a good place for work but friends-gathering. We ordered their Latte and Mocha with latte art. The coffee was decent, smooth and creamy with no artificial flavor. The price is reasonable around Williamsburg area. However, we might not visit again or only for take-out due to internet status.

The decoration is beautiful, but there is no outlet and the door was always open, and it was really cold. Hot chocolate is not really tasteful. For a coffee shop is not very comfortable, it is not a good place to enjoy your coffee while reading or spending time.

Awesome decor and atmosphere here. Wish they had a matcha latte, regular latte was perf though. No wifi, so bring your hotspot if you’re trying to work.

The effort put into this establishment really shines through the smallest details - the high quality of the espresso drinks, the perfectly flakey croissants, and the daily Times newspaper for customers to peruse at their leisure are my personal favorites.

It's not that they've ever been particularly friendly but when I went last Sunday, hours before they were to close (I did check online) the female barista rolled her eyes and huffed her nose at my basic coffee order. Maybe the most basic thing one could order. I never encountered anything like that before. Then she started angrily sweeping all the pastries out of the bin, slamming things, as if closing, except it was two hours before they were supposed to close. One by one, everyone in the cafe slowly got up to leave, as this woman continued her meltdown. I resent when people who work in places decide to make the customer part of their own problems and foist their personal issues on people just trying to go about their day. I. Really. Hate. That. I could hear her passive aggressively banging and slamming through my noise canceling headphones, while trying to do some work. It's a cute space, with nothing-special coffee and pastries, but it does not need to be....MENACING. Why the hell don't they have Wi-Fi? That area near the school really interferes with one's phone signal, and every single other cafe in Williamsburg has figured out how to have Wi Fi. Every single one. New management and staff might improve the business.

Nice coffee shop for getting work done or catching up over coffee. There's one big table and a few smaller ones, some a little too close together but not uncomfortable. Friendly service and good music. Decor is sort of eclectic which is a fun vibe.

I have been going to this coffee shop for a long time, but much more so the last couple years. In the last few months, the coffee itself--well, the espresso is all I drink usually--has been as good as ever. It's the perfect balance of sweetness and strength: it's very dense and concentrated, but no roast notes, and it has a nice fruitiness, without being too light and acidic. In other words, a perfect shot for milk drinks. In fact, I'm a cortado drinker, but may push up to a small cappuccino next time because the coffee is so robust. I guess I have tried my wife's cold brew there a few time's too. Can't remember too well, but it is at least above average...I would remember it if it were worse. Probably not a cold brew to write home about though. A couple of grievances holding down my rating though: - As far as I can tell, they only offer single use cups. There is glass a ceramic on the espresso machine, but when I say for here, the barista just grabs a paper cup, which is a good segue into my other grievance - As noted by others the service leave a lot to be desired. I've just been ignored by a surly barista when I have asked for a for here cup, and he is generally just curt and scowling. Two easy things to change...

Great coffee, upbeat baristas, fun music, and cozy lawn chairs out front on the sidewalk for lounging in the sun! What more could you want? Awesome spot in the neighborhood. I'm now at the point where I specifically crave their cold brew.

I love the atmosphere here - its quiet and relaxed with many tables to get work done, read, or catch up with friends. I ordered an espresso with sugar, which the barista happily made for me. The coffee was strong, but also had a strong sour taste. Im not sure if it's the bean being used, but the sugar didnt add much sweetness, just tamed the sourness of the coffee.

Decided to try this out because I like trying new things. Unfortunately they serve all drinks at the register so they allowed two (!) people to take my drinks that were behind me in line. That's pretty wack and they definitely noticed but didn't say hey that's for that girl over there wait your turn. Also the croissant is dry and terribly stale. Not coming back.

Got the iced coffee and it tasted like a burnt dark roast. Maybe it's meant to taste strong but it had a bitter after taste to it that lingered. Also, there was no awake feeling after this coffee.

Best coffee I ever had. Tusan Takk. Loved every sip. Come to DC. We need you. The Odin coffee blend included coffee from Guatemala- being a Norwegian-Guatemalan, this truly pleased me.

I wandered in here to kill some time before a cooking class in the neighborhood and was immediately barked at to shut the door. Hmm okay. Lovely welcome. Yes, it's hovering 90 degrees but maybe just put a sign on the door next time. Like other reviews have touched on, it seems that all the energy into decor and ambiance went into the front half of the space; the further you get away from the door, the sparser it becomes until you reach the back and you may as well be sitting in a warehouse sauna. To make things worse, the restroom was either broken or employees only. The communal table out front seemed inviting until you realize you can't see the actual surface because no one was cleaning up the leftover cups/straw wrappers. My iced latte was very good, as was the carrot muffin I took to go. I was handing over my card to pay when the girl stared at me and tapped blankly on the little white card reader next to the register. Yeah, sure, why waste words when gestures will suffice? Great example of when the service absolutely pulls down the product.

Two issues here. First, the hipster attitude isn't necessary. I opened the door and was immediately yelled at and told to "CLOSE THE DOOR, THANKSSSS". What? I actually turned round to close it. I should've just left and saved my $5. I figured id look past the fact that they're hipster and give the coffee a try. I ordered a Latte which was visually appealing but totally lacked taste. It was luke warm too. Isn't latte milk supposed to be steamed anywhere between 140 and 160 degrees? I wanted to like this place but I hate dealing with hipsters. They are the reason NYC is dead but that's a different story.

The coffee was fine, maybe even good, but there is good coffee all over the city where you don't get the impression you're a nuisance to the staff. The man working the coffeeshop was short and dismissive, and when I asked where the lids were he disapprovingly pointed over to the corner and muttered something. I also witnessed two other customers finish their drinks and walk over to put them on the bar/counter. He responded to them, "I don't need that. I don't need those. Trash is over there." While the customer was clearly making an honest mistake and probably should have thrown it in a trashcan (if they knew/saw), there are much, MUCH more polite ways of letting someone know. I would recommend Sweatshop coffee - it's a block away.

Damn, that was a might fine Cortado! When I see the name Oslo, I think of a coffee house in Switzerland, a place where James Bond would glide up on skis and say, Cappuchino please, not too much foam. In all reality, 10 years ago a couple opened their first cafe in Brooklyn and rode in the coffee wave. Rock on Oslo coffee! This is my first experience at Oslo and from what I see, they're using some expensive espresso machines. For my first coffee, I ordered a Cortado and my son ordered a single drip. I do have to say, the name Oslo had my attention, I was expecting a roasted coffee bean from Europe. Roasted right here in Brooklyn and what we both had rocked the house. I don't get up to Yorkville but Brooklyn? I look forward to returning and trying your other coffees.

This was my last visit to Oslo before I leave Williamsburg. I've had countless cups of coffee from here. It was my fave. This morning Yelp said they were open so I went over since it's an early day for me. At 7:33 the doors were locked. I looked at the person at the cash wrap, they continued to work. I checked online. Said 'open'. I caught her eye again and she shook her head. I yelled through the door 'it says open online'. She went back to work. First time I'm ever seeing this barista and I waited til the end of my vacation to write reviews of my fave spots. 'I'm so sorry but we don't open til 8. I'll fix it or tell the manager.' Not a '8' and back to work. Poor customer service doesn't work ever especially when interaction with humans is already minimal.

Mostly cons. Maybe it's once in a blue moon but the barista was rude. Coffee is Williamsburg price. It's hot and muggy yet no ac. Decoration 5/10. Flys flying around everywhere, tables are sticky. No Wi-Fi. No outlets so I guess they don't encourage this place as a workspace. Not coming back, Lionsmilk is around the corner. Pros: coffee and fast service.

this is the literal best spot for a first date. bc even if the date totally tanks it's only a 30m time commitment and at least u have really great coffee. but also i have this coffee like 5x a week bc i work nearby and it's *chefs kiss*

The overall aesthetic of the place is nice, if a bit bare. My partner and I both got iced teas. They have multiple types and it seems like it changes based on the day. We both liked the kind we got. There are no outlets and no wifi, which may be designed to encourage discussion or disconnecting from the web, but it makes it almost impossible to get anything done. Not a great cafe for bringing your laptop or iPad to do things on.

Favorite Coffee in all of NY maybe even World. I've had coffee from all across NY and I have to say the coffee here is just plain good. Super smooth and rich. No crazy flavors or add ons. I always come here when I need the classic coffee flavor.

Place was at the top of the Williamsburg list as good place to study but has no WiFi or outlets Ordered the mocha latte which was very good but the barista came off unfriendly, stone faced and just staring. Also I see in past reviews at least 9 months ago that patrons were yelled at/asked to close the door. I was there on a particularly cold day and the barista had to ask people coming in to close the door at least 3 times and there were another 3-5 times where she didn't see it. How long will this place go without addressing this simple fix? They also closed an hour early. Place says it's open until 7, they closed at 6. Not a huge deal, but just another thing that insurers I'll never return.

If I could give 0 starts, I would. The coffee USED TO BE GOOD, now, it's just as bitter as the miserable female working the counter on Monday, January 18, 2021 around 11:00 am. If you don't like your job, find another one.

Oslo makes a damn fine cappuccino. Damn fine. They also make a pretty good cafe au lait. So good, my friend bought a bag of Thor beans. There's plenty of seating. But given the neighborhood, they would do better business if they had some outdoor space. Oh well. You can't have everything. Life is about sacrifice, homey. They only take cash, but there's an ATM inside the store, so no big. So, when I'm in the area with time to kill before St. Anselm opens, and I don't want to be a complete lush by drinking in Spuyten Duyvil before 5pm, I'm coming here.

I stopped in here before my yoga class to fuel up some caffeine. Studies have shown that caffeine before a workout helps to rev the engine. Vroom Vroom! They make a nice cold brew, strong and hit the spot on this warm afternoon. They also sell growlers for cold brew. How cool is that? $25 will get you about 8 cups and refills of the growler is $13, now that's a steal for some good coffee! So go ahead, make some friends in the office!

Maybe it was the "Visualize Ballard" bumper sticker behind the counter that endeared me to this place or just the very good Americano. But the owner is a Seattle boy (my hometown) and it's always great to run into a transplant. Comfortable atmosphere with benches out front. good coffee. friendly staff. A nice little spot to land.

Let's see. You have Williamsburg, make that the Northside of Williamsburg. Besides bars being 2 or 3 to a block, not to mention those useless novelty stores where you can spend 100 bucks on an ugly all-weather scarf, what else is there a whole fucking hell of a lot of?! Cafes. So, you'd think that the owners of these places would instruct their "fresh faced" staff to be a bit more accomodating to the R&R customer (that's "rational and reasonable," ok?) so that they don't hoof it over to the cafe with marginally LESS snotty employees two feet away. Oslo usually has been A-OK (3 1/2 stars), and maybe the other day it was just because of the insane heat and humidity and the fact that they don't have A/C in there, but, not only did I get an argument over what cup size four shots of iced espresso should go in, but after paying for it and even stating that I'd pay extra for the large cup so that it could be filled with MORE ice (yes, it really was about 95 degrees on Saturday and I'd like my iced espresso to remain ICED), they still fucked up my order. It took two baristas to do this and they've both perfected the same vacant stare, as well. Not sure if I feel like braving this place ever again, especially if I god forbid want something outlandish like the wrong cup size for an Americano or something. Also, the espresso tasted bitter as hell.

Love Oslo I can never get sick of their lattes. Great muffins and bagels too which is perfect for breakfast Only wish they would have had wifi.. they would have gotten another star for that

Solid 4.5 The space is much larger on the inside than what it appears walking by. Interesting art on the walls and plenty of seats & tables. Stopped by wandering around the area and glad I did, onto the coffee! Cup of the House Thor blend - I take my coffee black to taste all the nuances of the beans and this one doesn't disappoint. Complex and rich, starts off with hints of chocolate and you can taste a bit of the fruitiness on the finish. The more I drink, the more I like! I would definitely come back for more!

The 3 stars is for the coffee because the iced latte and iced coffee are very tasty and good and fresh. The bathroom is kind of yucky, however and the kids behind the counter aren't very friendly. Location is okay. And prices aren't bad for funky coffee shop. Will be back if I'm in the area.

Top tier coffee, no sugar needed. It is rich, flavorful, and strong, but not bitter. I get a cappuccino, but friends have tried their straight espresso and lattes as well, and enjoyed them just the same. Fyi, the hours on Yelp are wrong. They don't open until 8am.

This cafe was one of places I have seen many people were carrying their cups around the bedford area. That is why I have wanted to try their coffee for a while, and finally I got to visit them yesterday. Their coffee is not so strong, slightly sour (but not as sour as of Modka's). It is not bad, but clearly not the best around. There is a positive point that their space is with blight and airily with a high ceiling. I feel however their staffs are different from barista I see in other Brooklyn cafés, they are more like of cafe benne or Starbucks or similar Chain coffee shops in Manhattan. I would not probably come back to this cafe for a cup of coffee because I know there are other coffee shops around and bear by that serves good strong coffee with quality which I love and are the reason I chose local coffee places but chain cafés.

Honestly, this is my favorite coffee in NYC. I have never gotten coffee and stayed so I can't speak to the vibe inside, but if you're in the area, this is the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and go. However, I will say that the space inside is bigger than most coffee shops in NYC so if you need to get some work done, there is usually room to grab a seat! Side Note: If you're a little farther North and don't want to make the trip down, there is a restaurant called Beco that serves Oslo coffee.

Never had a hot chocolate where the barist gave me a "latte art" SUPER COOL! Coffee tastes great, atmosphere is great. Overall, great experience.

Can't live without it. I love the name but it could also be called Beyond Beans bc they are just beyond Love the staff here, they have taught me so much about coffee over the years. Totally changes my drinking style. Love the vibe of locals that have also been hanging out here for years.

The most deeply miserable and smug customer service I've ever had the baffled displeasure of experiencing. Combine that with the contemptuously thrown-together excuse for an outdoor area, no wifi or restroom accessibility. What an overwhelmingly off-putting place - and what overpriced coffee!

I work at a restaurant right around the corner & used to get my caffeine fix here often. But stopped, bc the coffee here is too expensive for the half assed service & flat flavor profile. Last Monday, I settled on a 12oz drip for $2.75. The cashier took my $3 and never gave me change. What's that?...It's only a quarter? What if I had given her $2.50. You better believe yer sweet ass she would've asked for that quarter. Don't go here, go to court street grocers. Friendlier service, less expensive coffee.

Bad burnt coffee should've went to a bodega literally anything else. Change your drip y'all it ain't that hard

Hands down best coffee in BK if you can afford it. Surprisingly the cookies are inexpensive. Non judge mental attitude, absolutely no stink from bad air. Both locations are rad. The coffee is absolute fuel. Amazing flavor

The coffee is here is a 10.0. The only other coffees that rival are Intelligensia and Cafe Grumpy. Love the cold brew here- please don't give me some weird hipster response when I ask for a sleeve with it. "Why do you need one? Is your coffee too hot? [ironic chuckle]" [non-plussed look on my face] No, sir. It's what I like and I refuse to be criticized by the Bernie baristas because it's bad for the environment. I always recycle, and I always say thank-you when I am given one. I mean, I haven't had my coffee yet. 'Nuf said?

This isn't specific to Oslo, but what's the deal with coffeeshops giving cold brew in place of iced coffee?? The two are fundamentally different!! I'm not a fan of cold brew, since I think it's too acidic for my taste, so I hate that I can't get a normal drip coffee over ice anymore! Still, Oslo was pretty cheap (given the fact that I'm used to Manhattan prices). Seems like a pretty good establishment - a classic coffee shop.

One of the first great places for coffee in North Brooklyn. Top shelf coffee, muffins, etc. in a very comfortable setting to linger for folks of all ages including young kids. My favorite is their drip coffee with a shot of expresso (red eye or shot in the dark) and a splash of soy milk which they conveniently keep up at the counter.

Unlike every quippy girl food reviewer, I like my coffee the OPPOSITE of how I like my men, which is why Oslo's rich, hot, strong coffee ($1.50ish for drip; ~$3 for fancies) suits me just fine. To boot, ample copies of the Times are strewn over its communal table, which lures in the timid, tepid, reedy types of men that I DO like. Unfortunately, NO wireless internet, NO ambiance, NO couches, and an obstinate front door do not a comfortable nesting cafe make; pop in, pop out, and check Missed Connections from the office.

It might be nice when the big door is open, but the interior is quite drab. They don't pay for the premium version of Spotify / Pandora so you have to listen to the advertisements. $6.50 for a Health-Ade kombucha (it's $3.49 at the grocery store and $5.00 at my regular coffee shop). What!? Nothing special here worth overpaying for in comparison to other options in the neighborhood.

Great coffee. Lovely staff and friendly. Little too small but adequate. Nice late art skills as well which always is appreciated.
