Oslo Youth Hostel Haraldsheim

I spent only one night in this hostel. I paid 481 nok and I stayed in the female dorms. Pros 👍 * Good breakfast with diversity which I enjoyed a lot🥚🥒🍹🧀🐟 * Nice area with nice seatings and chess board outside ♟️ * A big kitchen which is helpful for storing food or cooking 👩🏻‍🍳 * The toilets are clean 🚽 Cons 👎 * The towel I received wasn't clean and the cover my friend received was moldy!!⚠️ * The dorm area was so small that it's hard to find a space for your belongings at the floor. * Half of the shower cabin doors were broken and there was only one sink in the shared bathroom!! Overall with the bathroom situation and the unclean towel, it was hard to stay there longer.

Nice hostel with a outdoor space. The rooms are quite small but with everything you need, very clean. I especially liked the vegan options at breakfast, was a positive surprise!

Stayed here for a week for a group school trip. The hostel was amazing, lots of friendly people that you meet in the kitchen or common space.The kitchen is spacious and had an oven and stove which was helpful. The breakfast options were quite wide. The showers could use some work as some were missing locks, however they were always clean. Out of the city so you get a peaceful stay and beautiful view.

Generally, I've had an okay experience here - the rooms are good size, the breakfast is solid too I do have two criticisms though 1. In my room, the soap and toilet paper dispensers kept falling open as they seemed to be broken and the trash cans lid was not attached to it anymore either 2. If you need another towel, it costs 20kr. Considering you only get one towel when you arrive, this is a big issue for people who stay longer than a few days. Other than that I was quite satisfied, I would've really liked to give 4 or 5 stars but especially the towel thing just kinda upset me

Everything was perfect. Clean, beautiful, 24h reception, fully functionnal kitchen with fridges and freezers, beautiful outside area to have a BBQ or picnic, nice quiet neighborhood, very full breakfast(so many options, even vegan yoghurt), etc. Highly recommend, best place in Oslo by far

We did not spend enough time here but the location is great We took a private room with a wc and it was small, clean and apt for the price I wouldn’t count on the view from the room but that is just our experience, I am sure other rooms have amazing view. Overall, it was a good experience. Do want to give a shout out to people on reception, very cordial

We had an excellent stay here in May 2025. Although the rooms are a bit small, they are well maintained, clean, and functional. This hostel also has many amenities, such as a lounge, a kitchen stocked with shared fridges, pans, plates, etc., laundry, and more. The shared spaces are also cleaned regularly and had everything we needed to make the most of them. We also had excellent experiences with the staff, they were very helpful and kind. They even gave me an additional drying token for free after a single drying cycle did not fully dry my clothes. In summary, this hostel has excellent service and many amenities. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for affordable accommodation in Oslo.

Speaking as someone who made a booking for almost 100 people, this hostel was amazing. I would trust them for any group booking. The customer service was amazing and responsive the entire time. It was easy to sign the contract and confirm people’s names. The hostel is very clean and well maintained. While it might not normally be possible, because we were a large group, they made sure to have some vegan food available at breakfast. Overall, there was attention to many small details that stood out to me. The trams 17 & 18 are nearby and take you downtown. I am so grateful for the hostel’s help and that we chose them for our stay in Oslo!
