I have been travelling from Gandipet to Osmania General Hospital for the last three days for the internship medical tests. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.
The doctors suggested a full list of tests, but the lab did not perform all of them. Even after giving my blood samples, I did not receive the proper reports, and the staff could not clearly explain which tests were done. Many patients, including me, are treated as if we are uneducated, and there is no proper guidance about the reports or procedures.
The hospital environment is very unhygienic, and emergency patients are also not given proper care. Only patients with recommendations seem to get attention, which is very unfair. In my case, I somehow managed, but I can’t imagine what an emergency patient would go through in this situation.
From the staff behaviour to the report management, everything needs serious improvement. I request the government and hospital administration to take action and improve the treatment, hygiene, and communication with patients. Hospitals should be places of care and support, not confusion and negligence.
This is my honest concern and experience over the last three days.
