Osmow's Shawarma

On January 28th, 2026, I found a human fingernail in my chicken shawarma poutine from the 75 Billy Bishop location. This is a severe and unacceptable breach of health and safety standards. Even more concerning is what happened after. I submitted a formal complaint in detail through the official contact form on Osmows' website. I clearly stated I had photographic evidence and would provide it immediately upon their request. I have received no response whatsoever. No acknowledgment, no request for evidence, no apology, and no offer to investigate or refund. Ignoring a complaint of this gravity when evidence was offered is the ultimate sign of a business that does not prioritize customer safety or care about its reputation. I strongly advise against eating here. Their failure extends from the kitchen to their complete lack of customer service and crisis management. I will now be forced to report this incident to Toronto Public Health directly.

The food was really good and fresh. I tried the Chicken on the Rocks and it was amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The manager Shell was super friendly and welcoming. She explained the menu and the food names to me, which was really helpful. That was really nice of her. Great customer service and a great experience overall. I will definitely come back again!

I didn’t end up ordering here, and that was intentional. I always ask about portions before ordering because Osmow’s Shawarma franchises are inconsistent. The staff member I spoke with was polite and genuinely tried to help — she even called to confirm — so this is not a customer service issue. The problem is ownership-level cost cutting. At many other Osmow’s locations across the GTA and Hamilton, the Super Chicken Shawarma has consistently been around 10oz of meat, which is why I order it. This location does not follow that standard while charging the same price. When portions vary this much, the value proposition disappears. Until consistency is addressed, I can’t recommend this location.

Visited Osmow’s today and had an excellent experience. Sachit took my order and provided amazing customer service—very polite, patient, and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted. The food came out fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this location!

I had a great experience at Osmow’s! I want to give a special shoutout to Jixie, who was very accommodating and friendly. She made sure my order was perfect and served it with a smile. Her excellent customer service really made my visit enjoyable. Thank you, Jixie, for being so kind and professional — people like you make customers want to come back!

CONSISTENTLY GOOD! As someone who was visiting from out of province where we don't have Osmow's, I usually keep an eye for this chain anytime I'm passing through Toronto and have a shawarma craving haha. This time I got the half and half chicken shawarma with Doritos on top. It's pretty good. Although, I think I'll stick to my usual order next time 😋

I ordered ahead on the app for quicker pickup, but my food was ready about 15 minutes after the scheduled time. I requested light tahini garlic sauce. Unfortunately, my food was extremely salty. The salad had almost equal parts dressing and greens, on top of the other sauces. This is not my first time ordering in this location. I went back to share my concerns and was told that since I ordered through the app, I should have requested dressing on the side. However, the app does not offer customization options for the salad dressing. There is no way to request less dressing or have it on the side. It is disappointing to be unhappy with a meal, but even more disappointing to raise a reasonable concern and not be offered a solution.

Osmow’s has a lovely atmosphere and the food quality is amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious. Special thanks to Arpan for her excellent service—very polite, well-mannered, and professional in dealing with customers. Great experience overall.
