Osorno

Wonderfull place with wonderfull view. You can reach 2 km below the peak by two cable cars. The cable cars are old, but they still serve their purpose. The view is breathtaking, especially on the way down. There is a glacier at the summit. Even in summer, I recommend good, warm clothing. It is cold and windy in the mountains.

I stayed in Osorno for 5 days and simply loved this town. It serves as a base to visit the Lake District. We rented a car and it was convenient to do day trips to the lakes.

Beautiful place. If you have the time go to Fritilla a small town half an hour form Puerto Vara

Beautiful indeed. Can get pretty high up by car, then can get on a lift. Highly advise against ordering anything at the cafe, had to put everything straight on the garbage because it was not eatable.

Skip the lift and make the hike! Very rewarding

Beautiful mountain, road can be slippery in winter.

Visited in Feb. 2025. Scenery was breath taking. Temperature was around 15degree C.
