Journey to the North: A scenic road trip from Cairns - SilverKris

"An open-air, treetop dining venue set amid the forest canopy where meals are served in a relaxed, nature-immersed atmosphere; a highlighted dish is chicken breast rolled in roasted peanuts and chilli served on a young coconut salad, making for a memorable seaside-treetop dinner experience." - Fiona Harper

Google
Literally one of my favorite lunch places. Super convenient location for a busy day around town. Service is always polite, food is consistently good, and the view is gorgeous. Can’t wait to try the winter outdoor seating by the river. I recommend the house burger with bacon and goat cheese, (my favorite) but the potato soup is comforting and a bit lighter on a cold fall day like this.🥰 🥣 Alaina was very accommodating and gentle today, as a former server, I always appreciate great service!

Google
Let’s start with the really good things: The food. I had the BBQ ribs: Nice, smoky flavor, falling off the bone, just as it should be. My wife had the Taboulé salad: Tasty, crunchy, good! The service was okay - not more, not less. Our waiter was there, did his job, nothing else. The thing that killed the atmosphere completely was the terrible lighting! Bright, white neon lights!! Grrrrrr! No chance for any kind of cosy dinner atmosphere! The ONLY nice lighting was at the bar: Warm, loft like light bulbs - the way it should be all over. Bottom line: Good dinner - with a big „But…!“

Went to the patio concert series and had a blast listening to music. Didn't have to wait long for a seat, so we chilled at the bar for like 10 minutes before we got one. Good vibes, awesome drinks, and I'm definitely going back for that river view!

A group of 8 met for Sunday brunch. We all had a lovely time. We were seated at one large table, which worked perfectly. I love eating there by the river. I had the Spinach Mushroom Omelette and it was scrumptious! Perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce in it added to the creamy goodness. I also enjoyed a cucumber elderflower gimlet, which not only looked magical, it tasted perfect!

Google
Excellent atmosphere right on the Spokane River, competitive prices and amazing food. The BBQ pork is legit, smoky, tender, filling, and the truffle fries are incredibly flavorful. Sarah was phenomenal.

Google
Real good experience here! Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. The happy hour was great, the service was fast and both the drinks and food were amazing. We will definitely be back and be taking visiting guests here as it’s a prime location on the river!

Google
The food was amazing and our waiter (Tyrone) was excellent, but wait times were long! We stood inside 10 minutes before we were greeted by the hostess, a group of 6 ahead of us she was trying to help. She could have at least acknowledged we were there. Once we sat, we were placed at a dirty table. I had to flag her down again to clean off. Took almost 15 minutes just to get 2 bar drinks. Our appetizer and food were delicious. The pork in the tacos was smoked perfectly! The chips were served with salsa, but it is really pico de galla and very little of it. Atmosphere outside was nice, but we were placed up against the building and very hard to enjoy the view with all the shade things pulled out as they blocked view.

Google
I love this place and it has a wonderful location right on the River. The view is beautiful. Food is good especially the steak, burgers, and breakfast. The barbecue is also very good. . Bob and Josh served me last time, We've always had very good service. I visit my family there several times a year and we always visit Ospreys! Wonderful deserts as well!

Yelp
We came in with high expectations because of the reviews, but were quite disappointed. I had the brisket and my wife had the prime rib. First mine... the brisket was average and very fatty. The flavor was just ok, the mac and cheese that it came with was not very good, the pasta was not quite al-dente, a little tough and the cheese was watery. Its kinds sad to say the cornbread was the best part of the meal. Now hers, the rare prime rib was again, average, but the edges were so salty to be inedible. The seasonal vegetables were crunchy and barely warm, and her caesar salad, like my cornbread was the best part of her meal. I will just say this, there are many other eating options in spokane... pick one of them, I won't come back here. David, our server, seemed disinterested in us or our desires. He did the minimum expected from a server.

Yelp
Wow. Do NOT bother coming here. There's other local restaurants that are way better and deserve your business. Walked in on a Friday afternoon- and keep in mind, the place had maybe a handful of tables full. It was not busy at all. Went to the host stand (as instructed by the sign). Not one of the three to five workers made any contact with my friend and me. There was an older gentleman working who looked confused, and two female workers behind the host stand. Stood there for a while, long enough to feel insulted. Then walked out. Are the workers not trained to greet guests? To seat customers? Or are they trained to avoid eye contact? I'm appalled and disappointed. No one cares if you have a fancy river view if you can't even greet the customer. Learn hospitality.

Yelp
Come for the view. It was an absolutely beautiful day, so I scrapped my original plans and headed to Osprey to enjoy a late lunch on the patio. Looking it up, I was unaware that this is a hotel restaurant. I left my hotel (that has a nice restaurant) to come to another hotel restaurant. That was a bummer, but I wanted to sit and see the river. I was given a lunch menu and a happy hour menu. I ordered a French 75 and a burger. They were...fine. The drink was VERY heavy on the lemon juice. I wasn't asked how I wanted the burger cooked, it came out well done. And under seasoned. It is a large burger and looked impressive, but it was just a hotel restaurant burger. Forgettable and expensive. The waiter didn't seem to want to actually walk to my table, he kind of hollered questions at me from behind me. The door was to my back and I was facing the river. He asked me for my card before he brought the bill. I should have gone with my original plans...but..the view. Though next time I am in town, I may just order takeout from somewhere and have a little picnic by the water.

Yelp
Our experience at Osprey was average. Great skyline views of Spokane river and gondolas. Outdoor patio, live music and people enjoying their evening. Love to hear combination of Wicked Game, Eagles, and CCR during dinner. Service was fine upon taking the order however the waiter was no where to be found during the meal to check in on us or provide us with more water. Food was decent. I ordered the steak that was cooked unevenly, more medium well than medium rare. Brussels sprouts was mushy and there only a few pieces on the plate. Came with side of fries. The shrimp linguine was cooked beautifully and tasted great. Too much pesto sauce but you can scoop that out.

Yelp
We ate a breakfast there while staying at the hotel. From some of the reviews I was worried, but we were pleased with our food and the service. My wife had a coffee ($3) and a build your own breakfast with two eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and french toast ($17). I had a meat lover's omelet with bacon, sausage, ham and breakfast potatoes ($17).

Yelp
3/5. On our way to the restaurant we were arriving early as reservations requested however my brother noticed we received an email 20 minutes prior to our reservation that the reservation was cancelled....We immediately called as we were on the road and almost there. They told us via phone it was not cancelled and there must be confusion even though my brother received a cancellation email....Odd. The restaurant is inside of a hotel and in the entrance it will be to the right. We got to the hostess desk and she had to take a minute to find our reservation name. Making reservations here seems to be chaotic tbh...not impressed. As for the food, with Christmas Day they had a holiday Christmas dinner menu. We all chose water for our beverages and 3 starters. We chose the Truffle Fries, Caesar salad, and Smoked Salmon Cakes. The salmon cakes were devoured quickly and truffle fries were good but not finished. Caesar salad was standard but still tasty. My mom and brother enjoyed the croutons. For the main course my brother and I both chose the Pesto Prawn Linguine. My mom ordered the Blackened Salmon which she said was good but we all were disappointed to see the smear of mashed potatoes. I get it...Osprey is supposed to be more fine dining and bougie but honestly one bite of mashed potatoes for the price you're paying is not even laughable...it's ridiculous. So I wouldn't consider the mashed potatoes on her plate to even be a side...it was more of a dollop. The Pesto Prawn linguine however was sooo yummy and creamy. The Prawns were great quality and huge. We both had leftovers and finished them later that night. We enjoyed our dish but a little upsetting my mother's dish was a bit disappointing. Dessert we chose the pumpkin pie and crème brûlée which were both tasty. The pumpkin pie crust was the perfect texture and soft and flaky. Service was okay. Our sever was kind and funny when we pointed out the spelling mistakes on the signage on tables and everywhere in the hotel. She agreed it was ridiculous to pay the big bucks but have silly spelling mistakes be put out and no revisions or review. To me that is just embarrassing and a let down. We made reservations to a nice hotel restaurant and they can't even spell or use autocorrect. Overall we enjoyed our Christmas meal and thank you to the staff for working on a holiday!

Yelp
Certainly a popular place and a lovely location as well. We arrived with a large party and were seated quickly. The server(s) all seemed a bit rushed and hectic. The kitchen is in an awkward place leading to somewhat dangerous cross traffic in the waiting area. The menu contains a lot of variety and for the meat and fish eater, seems adequate. But there is not much for the vegetarian. I ordered the falafel and tabouleh plate and it was not very well spiced. Maybe another try in the future.

Yelp
Cool view. Slow service, average taste. I might come back if I'm in a bind. Maybe more of an outside in nice weather cocktail time or a walk along the river.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Love this place. Definitely prefer when we can sit outside and enjoy the good weather and the river view. We've been there a few times and lucked out getting the same server both times we've been outside. He's worked there for a long time, has a great personality but I can't recall his name! We always come at odd times so it's not as crowded as we've seen it get there. Love all the happy hour menu options. They have a delicious rose frozé, but it's a little sweet, which is Fine on a hot day. We got wings, hummus, pork tacos, chicken tacos and fries. We were a group of 5 and were so full. It was all great!
google avatar

Yelp
Salmon Caesar Salad is fresh & excellent. Salmon was a generous serving. Service was good, sit outside on the deck on a nice day.
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely love the patio at Osprey. We've always had fantastic service. Today we had Alina, she was a bright light, so happy to be working there and helping us! We split a Ruby burger w/a side salad and ordered truffle fries. Sinfully delicious! Oh, the cocktails are great too!
google avatar

Candi C.

Yelp
The food is solidly good. The wait staff are friendly. It felt they were understaffed at times and we had to wait for food longer than usual. The happy hour pulled pork tacos are so yummy! If you can get a table outside, they have a great patio.
google avatar

Yelp
My boyfriend paid for my food waited 30 minutes and got NOTHING & the owner said we got "our food" yet that's not true. We never got food and got ripped off. I've been leaving reviews all over the world and have never felt so disrespected. The owner is the most disrespectful man I've ever met. Wouldn't wasted my time unless you want to call your credit card company and get a refund.
google avatar

Yujean H.

Yelp
Solid restaurant with a lovely outdoor view of the water. It was a perfect day to sit outside to dine so we did! I ordered the Cobb salad with a grilled chicken add-on. My guy ordered the Ruby burger. Cobb salad: I liked the twist of this Cobb salad. Instead of blue cheese they use goat cheese. And instead of blue cheese dressing they use a buttermilk dill dressing. The dressing made the salad-light with a slight acidity but still hearty and partnered nicely with the rest of the salad. My guy liked his burger!! I also got the seasonal frozen mocktail. It was light and sweet!

Yelp
As others have said, the view is amazing and food is good, but the service has been very bad the last two times we've dined there. The first time, though it was during the dinner rush, our server brought out the entrees for the three of us, but each diner had also ordered a pre-dinner salad or soup. We had to remind our server of this and before coming back with our salads and cold ginger soup, she remarked, "this is a kitchen problem." From then on out, our table had to constantly try to flag her down for water refills and other missing components to our late-arriving appetizers. Since everyone is entitled to an off day, we gave Osprey a second chance to redeem themselves. While it was a different server and less busy, this time my soup and everyone's beverages arrived, but it was almost 45 minutes until everyone's entrees arrived. Since our server hadn't checked on our table for almost 25 minutes, one person from our party went inside to find our server and inquire about our missing dinners. When they finally arrived, the server barely acknowledged the tardiness of our dinners and left without an apology. If the view wasn't so enjoyable, this review would only be one star. I hope the ownership/management take note of the string of service-related comments and work with their colleagues to improve the dining experience.

Yelp
Drank 2 beers while I waited 50 min for a to-go order (on a Wednesday). Had to ask for them to go find It.. "oh they just finished It" but it's all cold mush. I watched several other people having the same experience I was. Good flavor fries if they weren't cold. They added tip to my to-go order, basically nothing worth eating once I got back to my room. First time visiting the area. Trash but a nice place if they could learn how to cook and serve food.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The service was incredible. The manager is constantly walking around and asking how the food is. The ambiance alone is SO good. We got the truffle fries to srart which were crispy and delicious! I got the osprey burger which was de fricken licious. My fiance got the prime rib ravioli which he was raving about. And then we got the chocolate cake which was not too sweet but so good. Thank you guys for the wonderful service and the incredible experience!

Yelp
It's a really great location. We chose outdoor seating. The dining area is right on the river and the atmosphere is fabulous. There is some noise from the road right next to the dining area, but, eh, the river! My husband had the BLTA and said it was good. I had the apple salad with chicken. The apple salad was lovely, not over-dressed with lots of nuts and cheese, but the chicken was tough and dry. As for service, the hostess seemed to be more interested in chatting with her buddy than seating us. We had to wait a bit for her to finish her conversation. But our waitress, Alina, was great.. personable and efficient. I wanted to adopt her. I think we will return, for the river, not the food.
google avatar

Cammelle C.

Yelp
We had a great time here. The cocktails were amazing. The truffle fries were good but the garlic aoli needed a bit of lemon juice so we asked for some lemon wedges, the servers were great. They worked as a team. The smoked gouda penne was amazing and the pulled pork was awesome. The cappreze was amazing, the red pesto was a bit too sweet, but ultimately very nice. I wish the nachos were made with a real cheese sauce or shredded cheese, but the other toppings were so plentiful and delicious that it was okay. The view of the river was tremendous. The patio is lovely and the inside of the restaurant was really fun. Thanks for a great dinner!

Judy G.

Yelp
Barbecue was good, especially with the very garlicky sauce. Mac and cheese was particularly scrumptious and Cole slaw was good too. Carrot-ginger soup had a surprising depth of flavor. Waitress was friendly and attentive. We could see the river from our table. This is a pretty good place.
google avatar

Jody H.

Yelp
I loved our server j think his name was Dave! He definitely knows how to make you happy! Drinks were amazing and my food was really good! The dessert was incredible if you have room left
google avatar

Lorene P.

Yelp
Amazing view of downtown Spokane and the river! Outdoor seating allowed us to enjoy the view with our Golden Retriever. A server even asked if he could bring her a bowl of water. How's that for dog friendly service. We had the nachos. We even asked if they could split it for the 2 ladies, and they did! The grilled chicken sandwich and BBQ pulled pork.sandwich were great! The season fries and loaded pulled pork nachos were awesome. If we are in Spokane again, we'll definitely return.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
Fantastic food and the best service by Tyrone. He was amazing. Handled our large group of 30 all by himself. Every thing came out perfect!!

L L.

Yelp
Ordered baked mac and cheese but they slipped in Mac salad instead; didn't like the slaw, very watered down thin dressing; cornbread and brisket was very good.
google avatar

Eric D.

Yelp
Sitting here waiting!!! And waiting! Not acknowledged after being seated for 10 minutes. Waiter gave us half price drinks to compensate. Ordered food and now we are on 40 minutes and no food! As a visitor I would not recommend this restaurant. We decided to cancel our order and leave. We were told they were short staffed. No excuse. If you don't have staff...don't seat people!! Will not be back.
google avatar

Mecca F.

Yelp
We stayed across the river and noticed this place from our balcony. We noticed the outside sitting so we looked it up online. Online it said that it had vegetarian options so we decided to go eat there. Once we got there and got seated we were informed that that information was incorrect and they didn't really have any vegan or vegetarian options but we may do with the menu that they provide us. We selected to enjoy the weather and sit outside. Our hostess was nice a bit forgetful or overwhelmed. My husband had a breakfast dish off the menu. I had selected when in doubt salad it out.
google avatar

Mia I.

Yelp
We went for happy hour and the service was awful:( I hate leaving reviews like this but the bartender was rude and the only time they came up to our table was when we flagged them down. The food was pretty good but unfortunately don't think we'll be back
google avatar

Erika G.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and the view of the river. Service was attentive and engaging. The truffle fries were good! The cocktails were a twist on classics and did not disappoint! Will definitely be back. This restaurant gives me California vibes.

Katherine T.

Yelp
My party was told it would be a 20min wait for the patio. Ended up waiting an hour with multiple people getting seated before us (no reservations for patio). We were seated directly next to the spot they scrape off plates and stack dirty dishes. Why would you put a table there?! The poor server/hostess was almost in tears the entire time, our server said they were short staffed, food was ok, live music was ok. Won't be back.

Sandy K.

Yelp
Enjoyed a beautiful evening on the patio for dinner! Our server, Tyrone, was great- friendly and checked on us often! My husband had the shrimp pasta dish and I had the Cobb salad - both were tasty! For dessert we shared the peach bread pudding with vanilla ice cream- so yummy!
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
Came here with my mother in law who had visited in the past and loved it. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Right off the bat we were kinda taken aback by the server. He was really antsy and in your face. I don't know how to put it other than he was really awkward. Also, a "food pusher". We would ask a question on the menu and he would talk about how great the new chef was and how we should really just try certain items. I am sure his intentions were good, but it was done in an uncomfortable manner. My mother in law only eats pork and chicken, so he was encouraging the wrong person to try the steak. Which we told him - multiple times lol. That aside, the food we did end up getting was really good. The seared tuna had a good flavor and was cooked pretty good. Maybe a little over cooked, but again the flavor was still great. I ordered the smoked chicken and it was very good. The Smokey flavor was great and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I will say the cauliflower-goat cheese gratin was lacking for me. It was runny, chunky, and really lacking on flavor. My mother in law got the pork loin and loved it. The flavor was amazing (I tried it), it was cooked perfectly, and the potatoes and kale were delicious. Bottom line: service, eh - food, delicious!

Yelp
If I could I would give this place no stars. I don't ever write reviews but our experience was so bad I had to warn everyone. We had a reservation for 2 for 6:15. We walked in 7 min early to check in. Everything looked a bit chaotic but it was dinner time. No one working the front desk seemed to know what was going on. The women at the counter had a res for 8 at 6:30 and the told her it would be a few but no problem. Then they walked away. 10min later, no joke, they came back and checked me in. There was so discussion and at 6:30 we were sat down. The waiter came took our order and we waited. 15min drinks came and the party of 8 was sat down behind us. We continued to wait. At 7:25 the party of 8, which ordered 30 min after us, was being served their food. I asked our server to cancel the food because I was already late to my meeting. I asked to speak to a manager. We got up to walk out after 5 min and the manager catches us. I'm a bit heated but I tell him what happened and he just stood and stared. No I'm sorry; nothing. The people seated next to where we had the conversation started chiming in too telling him that was unacceptable. He still just stood there looking stoned not saying a word. Needless to say I never got eat. AVOID this place!

Amie W.

Yelp
I took a friend here today for a BD celebration. We enjoyed happy hour on the river patio with incredible eats (truffle fries and burrata caprese.) Trebor was our jovial and efficient server~we really enjoyed him and our entire evening at Osprey~we'll be back!!

Yelp
I ate 3 meals there when I stayed at Ruby River. the service is ver slow so plan ahead. Breakfast: mediocre. I had to request butter for my pancakes. the coffee and juice came out with the food. lunch: (actually it was more between lunch and dinner)..ok. We had Fish tacos, truffle fries and a bruschetta. They were ok. I liked that the bread for the bruschetta wasn't overly toasted. We also had the Berries and Cream, that was delicious. Dinner: toooooo salty. I had the pork loin. It was super tender but oh so salt. The potato purée was creamy but salty. The asparagus was grilled to perfection. I did have an adult beverage this marionberry frozen drink with whipped topping, it was DELICIOUS!!!

Steph M.

Yelp
This place is so amazing and friendly. We have stayed multiple time at hotel and come here for dinner. The hotel is dog friendly, and the restaurant has options for dog outside. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and the food and service is with the stay. Very family friendly.

Ron D.

Yelp
Went with a large party and they did an excellent job. I had the fish tacos and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Very good. Would return.
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
Location. Bad service. We sat on the patio for about 45 minutes before we got our food. There were people inside and outside sitting for almost the same amount of time and noone had gotten their food. When we did get it, it was good. But Not a good way to spend a hot Sunday morning when you're only in town a short time
google avatar

Ellen K.

Yelp
My friends & I went for lunch. Staff gets 4 stars because they were friendly. But the food was mediocre at best. Potato Corn Chowder was really good! As was the French Dip. But the "special" cod fish & chips was over fried & as bland as could be: frozen premade product. Definitely expect much better from them. French Onion soup had whole cloves of garlic and was weirdly sweet. Jalapeño Penna with grilled chicken had no jalapeño flavor at all, just plain ol' Alfredo. AND nothing was hot! Most of my pasta had absorbed the sauce. Served barely above lukewarm. Was obvious that our food had sat for some time before being served. Do not order dessert: Barely chilled Chocolate Mousse was more like a cross between pudding & mousse and the chocolate cake underneath was absolutely horrible! It was dense, hard and EXTREMELY dry! The crème brûlée was more like an egg custard, not creamy & rich as it should be. DISAPPOINTMENT doesn't come close to our experience. They should go back to doing bbq.

Yelp
What a great venue! We went for lunch and had to order from the brunch menu. Luckily, the Osprey salad with salmon was on the menu! Salmon was perfectly cooked and flavorful!! The salad had crumbled cheese that mixed with the dressing--so yummy! Definitely need to come back here to eat from the dinner menu! The waitstaff said they close the kitchen for an hour or so and reopen later in the day for dinner.

Jean R.

Yelp
The Osprey restaurant has been one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane since it opened. However, tonight I got a strange surprise when I paid for my meal: The change was 48 cent short. I mentioned it to the waitress, and she said they are not given coins for making change. We asked at the bar if proper change could be made there. He said he only had pennies. How interesting. I will never recommend the Osprey again until this practice is changed. I would also be less likely to go there myself. However small, this is stealing--and on a regular basis as a matter of business practice. Whether this results in hundreds of dollars a day of unearned income to the Osprey is an interesting point, but perhaps not the most important one. For instance, if the restaurant prefers to round all checks so that coins are not given in change, they could round up, advantaging the customer rather than the restaurant. Or, they could charge for each item in whole dollars rather than including cents in the price. That the Osprey management has not thought this through in a more customer-oriented manner is disappointing. It is one thing if you choose to give me your money. It is another if you choose to take mine--as a business practice--when you haven't earned it. Or could it be that the Osprey prefers not to welcome customers who pay with cash?

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Drinks are delicious. Food is delicious. Right on the river and great ambiance. Service is great too. Highly recommend

Christina D.

Yelp
Delicious food, our server was amazing and the ambience very nice. Loved the view looking out on the river. Our server even offered to take our picture by the water.

Yelp
I was so excited to see bbq came back, but I was disappointed with my experience. They cut the menu way back, long await to receive food, not much food for the value, and the quality was not very good. Meat felt old and warmed up and very expensive for what it was. Won't be back for that unfortunately. Will stick to the restaurant side in the future as that is usually good!

Yelp
My husband and I came into this restaurant at 2:00 this afternoon. The dining room and outside dining space were not filled and plenty of unoccupied tables. We told the hostess we needed a table for two but we didn't have a reservation. She answered by saying they were extremely busy and are not accepting non reservations. I decided to call the restaurant a 1/2 later and informed hostess (not sure if it's the same hostess) we didn't have a reservation and needed a table for two. The hostess replied "we have a 15 minute wait time., no reservation needed. What is going on? Did the hostess base it on the fact we were not Caucasian? Huh....

Yelp
Came here for my boyfriend's graduation dinner and we unfortunately did not have a great experience. The staff seemed to be ignoring us the whole night. There was no one at the host stand when we arrived and we had to look for someone to seat us. Once we finally got seated, it took a while for them to come take our drink order. We ordered 1 appetizer and all of our entrees at the same time. They were out of the one food item half of us wanted so that was a shame. The appetizer took 45 minutes to get to our table and the entrees came lukewarm another 30 mins later. We had to ask someone to refill our waters because no one would come to our table. They also told us they don't seat parties over 4 outside. When we arrived we saw parties over 10 seated out on the patio. I do not recommend coming here

Yelp
What an unforgettable dinning experience. The experience was so unforgettable that I thought it was worthy of my first review! If you don't care to read all of the details outlined below, you clearly value your time and do not want it wasted. If that is true, then you must never step foot in this restaurant. It's been a few days since my lunch with friends at Osprey, but I made sure to take notes on how it went so I feel confident that these details are accurate. Before ever arriving, we had made a reservation for eight for a late lunch. When we called, we requested that we be seated outside since it was going to be a nice day. They informed us they could not reserve specific tables, but that getting our group a table outside shouldn't be a problem. We arrived on time for our reservation at 1:30pm, and waited roughly 15 minutes before being seated inside, in a space that felt like the hotels lobby. Not exactly the patio seating we hoped for, but it was later in the afternoon and we wanted to eat. After being seated for 40 minutes watching group after group make their way to the outdoor seating as we sit in a half empty restaurant, and having only ordered drinks, our menus were then swapped out for a different menu, because meal times had supposedly changed. Once we all re-decided what we wanted to eat, we finally placed an order around 2:30pm. We then did not see our waitress until 3:10pm, when she came over to apologize for how long things were taking. We were informed that a large group in the private conference room had ordered at the same time as us, and despite the fact that we had been there half an hour longer than they had, our order and theirs were being prepared together. Well imagine our surprise when moments later this other groups food started coming out, and we were still sitting there with no food and empty drink glasses. 20 more minutes went by and I began to look for our waitress so that I could flag her down, but she always seemed to be out on the patio (if only we were out there, eh? It would have made speaking with her so much easier). After finally finding her inside, away from her other tables, I asked what the timeline may be for us getting our food. She very apologetically told me that she did not know, and then looking to her left introduced me to the general manger who happened to be standing next to her. He said nothing. He said nothing to her after she explained the whole situation, and nothing to me as I asked what we could do about it. It was genuinely impressive how unfazed he was by this level of service his restaurant had been providing for the entirety of the afternoon. After many awkward moments of this mans glazed over stare, with no words being spoken, I informed the both of them that we would be leaving. Our waitress asked if we could wait just a moment, and around 3:45pm came over to our table to let us know we were good to go and did not owe anything. We left having never ate anything, and only one round of drinks in 2+ hours spent at our little indoor table with waiting room chairs. I will note that our waitress did at one point offer us a free round of drinks, which would have been nice had she followed up and actually served us the drinks we told her we wanted. All in all, this was the worst dining experience of my life. It is criminal that a place like this has made it so long, but a patio along the river will always be good for business regardless of the service and quality of food (yes, I did not eat the food, but everyone I have talked to since sharing this story has told me it is mediocre on it's best day). I sincerely hope that as you look for a place to eat, you respect yourself and value your own time enough to not try eating at Osprey, Spokane's worst dining establishment.

Yelp
Literally stopping my terrible meal to write this review so that no one else will make the same mistake we did and choose this place for the somewhat riverview. Do NOT eat here!! There are 4 of us here on business and we had a 630 reservation and every part of our experience has been terrible. The food came out so late and very lukewarm and extremely mediocre. We weren't all given silverware, salad plates weren't taken after sitting in front of our for 20 some minutes. There was sent a manager to talk to and lots of excuses. I could go on and on, but we are leaving.

Yelp
Great patio with attentive service. Recommend the Cobb Salad and Burrata Caprese. Particularly appreciated the willingness to accommodate special request on both. If you find yourself down by the river on a sunny day, swing by :)

Yelp
Beware of credit card fraud. On June 22, I met some friends for happy hour. I ordered one drink and left a $5.00 cash tip. A couple of days later I saw that the charge to my bank account was $10 higher than the bill total, so an additional tip was added to my card without my approval. On June 26, I called Osprey and left a message in the morning about 45 minutes before the restaurant opened. I called again at 12:10 pm but no one answered the phone. I was able to reach someone at 3:50 pm, but they were not able to locate a manager/supervisor to speak with me. They took my name and number and said someone would call me back. I waited 2 days and no one called me back, so I called again at 2:10 pm. Someone answered immediately and I explained the situation. They told me that they were refunding my full bill and it would take a few days. While grateful, I was confused how they were able to do that considering they didn't have any of the transaction details. A Supervisor named Dusty then came to the phone and it seemed like they had me confused with another customer. She took down all of the payment details and let me know they would refund the additional $10 charge. She apologized and stated that sometimes "accidents happen". It is now July 10, and I still have not received a phone call or refund from Osprey. It seems I'm not the only one to have this issue and they restaurant does not appear to have any desire to rectify the issue. This is the worst customer service failure I've experienced at a restaurant, and I won't be back. UPDATE: shortly after posting this review, I was contacted by the Manager at Osprey. He was very professional and apologetic. The full charge was refunded to my card and I was offered a gift card to come back and try again or share with a friend. While I'm disappointed that it took a public post to get someone to call me, I am grateful for the service correction.
