The food and service was stellar. Best meal we had in Iceland. The reindeer appetizer was perfectly cooked and we'll presented. The entrees were also well prepared and plated. We were concerned that the portions would be small, but everyone left full and happy.

This is the place for a vegetarian and a meat eater! It is a small menu so they really cook every dish to perfection. Their seafood soup was a must! Best soup I have ever had since being on Iceland for the past 8 days, creamy and not too salty. Their vegetarian dish was great with mashed cauliflower and cauliflower bits mixed with dill. Their beets were also amazing with carrots. Their lamb dish was also great with roasted veggies. For dessert we had the cheese cake (not too sweet and very light) and the chocolate cake which was total opposite. Both good but my favourite was the cheese cake.

Had a great dinner here my first evening in Reykjavik. I referred the goose salad and lamb and my friend had the seafood soup and the Icelandic trout. The goose salad was my favorite dish. The meat was incredibly flavorful. I really liked the soup— it had lots of meat in it but needed more seasoning and a bit of kick. It was probably the blandest curry I’ve ever tasted. I didn’t know it was possible. My friend really enjoyed her trout. It was soft with crispy skin. My lamb was good but not exceptional. It was a very casual & relaxed atmosphere. Nice for a casual lunch date or dinner with a friend.

Freshly caught plaice cooked with local cheese, sweet potato, carrots and mushrooms. Highly recommend anything freshly caught for lunch (and only offered during lunch, for dinner it's set menu) The home baked bread was made with rosemary and thyme, which I enjoyed a lot! Reasonable price at Iceland!

This was one of the most recommend places for us to try by locals and it did not disappoint. We were able to walk in for dinner around 7pm though it got very busy by 7:30pm. They have a dinning room table in the front and in the back. Service was not the friendliest but they took our order delivered the food properly and it it tasted delicious. The grilled whale with bacon was suburb, very tender and full of flavor. The roast lamb was with hazelnut glaze was out of this world delicious. I am still dreaming of the crispy skin. I've been told the prices are less during lunch but we found the dinner prices to be very reasonable. Definitely worth checking out if you are every in Reykjavik.

Amazing service. Our server gave us great recommendations and checked up on us to make sure we were ok. Ended up getting whale appetiser and Arctic char as the main. Good portion sizes. An of course wanted the skyr yogurt dessert as well. Everything was delicious. They also give bread before the meal. The whale is similar to rare steak. Meal was about $55-60 CAD.

Beautiful restaurant, was very accommodating to our dietary needs(nut allergy) and reassured me I would still get a lovely dining experience and I wouldn’t be missing out on anything. I had the Goose for a starter, minus the nuts of course and it was brilliant! First time I’ve ever had it and I’m 100% glad I did it here. I had the salt baked fish for a main, it flaked in my mouth with an amazing flavour. The French chocolate cake. Wow. Very rich and heavy and definitely what I needed after two light courses. Excellent service, we were constantly attended to and asked if our meal was suitable. Cannot recommend enough.

Who says you can’t find great food for a good price in Iceland!? They must not have been here. Really cozy spot, super quick service, food came very fast and was absolutely amazing, very good presentation as well. Would definitely recommend coming here it’s a hidden gem for sure!
