A very comfortable hotel - slept really well both nights! It is in a great location for exploring many beautiful places in Donegal. Breakfast was fine - a small selection of cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt and then the usual cooked breakfast of fry, scrambled egg etc to order. The receptionists were very friendly. A few other reviews mentioned the road and our room was on the roadside but I can't say that I heard much traffic, its in a rural location so even on a weekend night there wasn't much going on so it wasn't noisy at all. I would stay here again; the only negative comment I have to make is they could do with cleaning their windows both inside and out!

Wonderfully comfortable hotel in county Donegal in Ireland. Friendly staff and reasonable rates. I took this hotel as I had a flight from Donegal Airport and there was a bus stop just outside the hotel to the airport. Bed is very plush and soft and the hotel is clean and good service. Breakfast is included as well.

Well, it’s your basic nothing special roadside hotel. not near town or anything! It’s only a few feet from the main road so I wouldn’t want to stay in any of the rooms at the front of the hotel. From the photo it looks like it’s right on the water, but it’s not close to the water at all. I asked for a quiet room at the back, it had zero view except for the kitchen roof of the hotel. But it was quiet. A very small room couple of feet on each side of the bed. There was lots of parking and it had a large restaurant, bar. And breakfast was included, which was good. It was so basic and plain. I never took a single picture. There was nothing to take a picture of.

We stopped by for a light lunch. It was expensive and very poor quality food. We ordered seafood chowder which was a small bowl of mostly veg., a few frozen prawns and tiny fish pieces. It was drowned in cream. Each bowl cost €11:95! The serving staff were very pleasant, but the food very disappointing.

We visited the hotel for a sunday lunch birthday celebration and was very disappointed to say the least. We had 2 starters of brie and mushrooms. The brie was old and you could taste the aged rind. The mushrooms were undercooked and the contained cheese was not melted. The accompanying salad was wilted, browning and turned over. ||We thought a good main course would make up for it but we were wrong. The poached cod was cold... as in cold cold. The chicken was microwaved to the max both dishes atop lumpy reconstituted mash that was at least 1 or 2 days old and again so microwaved you could taste the burnt butter in the mash. The ham was really poor quality and undercooked. The glasses were covered in greasy fingerprints and lipstick. ||The time taken between the starters and mains was excessive and we were the first of 2 tables dining. We discussed what to do and we left our meals mostly intact.||We were not asked how the meal was when I went to pay and even when I outlined the issues, the bar staff did apologise and then charged us the full fee (€79.50 including 3 drinks). We left and what we assume were the supervisors were at reception and didn't speak to us despite our food passing them less than 5 minutes prior. I rang the hotel afterwards to raise the issues and they did offer a refund which we declined as we were already driving home and this should have happened before payment in full was made. ||We will never be back primarily for the quality of the food... shocking!

It’s situated right On the main road, but we had a Room on the road side. It wasn’t noisy at night time. There are two menus One for regular diners And one for Groupon customers, With smaller selections.

All the staff were so professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, nothing was a bother to them. ||Our large bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and warm. (Bathroom had a shower and a jacuzzi bath, heaven)||Great breakfast, both continental and cooked, really sets you up for the day. We didn"t need to eat until dinnertime. ||Evening meals were beautiful as well, there was a great choice, we ate the 3 nights we stayed here, each night we both ordered something different from the menu, every dish we had was so tasty, well cooked with local ingredients. all lovely. No complaints at all. ||This hotel is a great, quiet location for visiting all the spectacular scenic local spots including Glenveagh Park & Castle, Errigal and Muckish mountains, the harbour and the beautiful beaches along the Atlantic Way.
