I ordered their pumpkin spice latte ("Misery") as a treat to celebrate autumn, and it was perfectly balanced in its sweetness and pumpkin flavoring. It was a bit more expensive (just over $5) but I'm happy to support this independent coffee place. Also, I must add how I appreciated their Pride flag, which signaled to me that I was in a safe space. Thank you!

Google
Cute coffee shop! Very inviting. The coffee is great and I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. Lots of different options for folks with different dietary preferences/restrictions.

Google
We love this cute coffee shop! I try to visit every time that I am home visiting my parents. Their seasonal drinks are always delicious. I especially love that I can build my own vegan breakfast sandwich! They also have great local gifts available for purchase. And the customer service is always wonderful as well :)

Google
Can’t recommend enough!! Nice staff, cozy decor, incredible iced latte (and they make coffee ice cubes so it doesn’t get watered down!) and a quote from my kids about the muffins “the best ever”!!! And for any parents out there, there’s an adorable kids corner with toys and books so you can actually enjoy your coffee while the kids are happy. Will definitely return many times!

Google
An upscale coffee shop featuring semi manual press espresso machines with automatic pressure builders. It is a novelty where some have switched to automatic to generate consistent shots. But that novelty provides a unique experience you will not want to miss. I was here for the breakfast sandwiches, though, and it did not disappoint. We got the Avocado Toast, and we added bacon and a fried egg. The avocado was cut into thick pieces and was as fresh as you love to get in high-end places. The fried egg was fully cooked (I'm assuming because I requested the toast cut in half, but I'm sure you could request over easy). The bacon was only partially cut. It left an amazing flavor combination with pronounced notes of smoked wood and rich high-quality egg. The bread was perfectly toasted. The food was perfectly executed, and you can tell they value consistency.

Google
Definitely the best breakfast. Everything is super fresh and the place itself is super cute! Probably the best coffee I've had as well. Usually get the caramel latte and it's absolutely delicious. Their little orange juices are super fresh and organic which is a plus as well. Also got to try their strawberry apple juice which was refreshing for a hot day! The atmosphere of this place is immaculate and will be forever returning every time we visit Cape May!

Google
This coffee shop has it all great drinks, great food, atmosphere, books, local goods, seating inside and outside. Create your own drink, or pick from the many combination drinks from their special menu. I always get the coffee cubes, way better than regular ice.

Google
Sweetest cashier ever, quick service, and exactly what I was craving! Got quite busy around 8am on a Saturday but the line went fast. I got a skim latte and a sesame bagel with turkey bacon, egg white, avocado, and tomato. Wasn’t the highest quality bagel I’ve had per say (I’ve been on a bagel kick recently lol) but it was filling & hit the spot :) Cute interior with some books too!

Yelp
Very chill vibes, nice people, LGBTQ ‍ friendly and definitely a favorite with the locals who all seemed to know each other. It's also great to work for a bit (free WiFi but they close on the early side). And there's shopping too! It's exactly the kind of spot I love to support.

Chris C.

Yelp
Perfect little breakfast nook with super friendly staff. Looks like it's also part book store, jewelry and even some candles. Great breakfast sandwich, skip the fast food!

Yelp
First I'd like to thank the owner for participating in the Exit Zero discount card deck because that's how I came across this GEM of a cafe! The coffee is so SMOOTH and so GOOD! They have authentic bagels - IYKYK - it's AFFORDABLE and it is the quaintest place to be in! I'll definitely be a returning customer!!

Yelp
Great lbgq friendly coffee shoppe of the beaten path with a real coffee shop vibe. The coffee was delicious the food was good. There is plenty of parking and the service was friendly. Worth the bike ride or drive if you love trying different coffee places.

Thomas Y.

Yelp
A gem of a coffee shop. The owners keep things welcoming and fun, with specialty drinks that challenge and stimulate the taste buds. Ordered a "I'll Never Let Go Jack", a horchata cold brew with rice milk, that was delicious. The place draws a healthy crowd on Summer mornings, but you never wait too long for your drinks.

Sarah G.

Yelp
A cute local coffee shop that is a hidden gem near West Cape May. I stumbled upon this place because my parents found it while visiting. Ever since they found this coffee shop, I have been going faithfully. From the iced coffee drinks to the customer service , this coffee shop goes above and beyond to ensure you're satisfied. I order the vanilla lavender iced coffee with iced cubes each time. Once you find a go to drink, it's hard to switch it up. Each time I order my favorite drink, it is never a disappoint. I also like the coffee cubes that are an option for iced coffees. The location is easy to find. The decor of art work inside the business is unique. They also have a kitchen where you can order food. I have yet to try it out. Also, they have several things for sale including earrings, paintings, and books.

Yelp
This place is an unexpected gem! My family stayed the weekend in cape may and needed to grab a quick coffee and breakfast before our drive home on Sunday. I did a quick Google search and found this place close to us. You drive up and there's cute tables out front and the doors were open, inviting you inside. It's not the cutest thing you've ever seen inside, but it feels very community driven and a chill place to have a coffee. I got a caramel iced latte with the coffee iced cubes and it's one of the best I've had in awhile. Good beans makes a huge difference, and whoever their roaster is, is doing a great job! We also got some breakfast sandwiches which were good as well. Nothing spectacular but a nice option when you're looking for a quick bite in the morning. It was exactly what we needed before we drove home. If I lived near this place or if I ever visit cape may again, this will definitely be a place I stop into!

Lillian M.

Yelp
The best iced coffee that I've ever had! Pleasant barista and off street parking. The location is a bit off the beaten way but well worth looking for it.

Nan M.

Yelp
THE BEST COFFEE and a Large assortment of creative coffee and tea specials that change seasonally. Food items also available. Fun Baristas! Some locally sourced crafts, flowers and unique monthly events.

Brittany M.

Yelp
First time visiting this year on our recent trip to Cape May. Very cute space featuring the wares of local artists, some seating and coffee bar. I enjoyed my iced dirty chai. Employees were friendly and efficient. I didn't try any of the baked items this year but would return on a future trip! They also have a parking lot

Carl B.

Yelp
Coffee was pretty good. The server was very nice. Not a big space inside. They do have a few chairs outside. Parking was available. Which is a plus in Cape May.

Tara D.

Yelp
our favorite coffee shop in cape may! you're not going to find a better place to grab coffee and breakfast. the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. the baked goods are equally wonderful. the quality of the coffee is great, and they have many delicious coffee/other drinks. my favorite part of the place is the ambience. there's a tiny play area for kids, book shelves with books for sale, and other cool tbings for sale. the decor is so fun to look at. AND you can't beat the genuine, lovely customer service. 10/10 great LBGTQ place

Cat D.

Yelp
Cute, mellow, and non-pretentious! The coffee was delightful, and the service was friendly. They had some creative specialty drinks named after ladies from SNL, which I appreciated. I had the Kristin Wiig - a churro iced latte (with oat milk) that lived up to its name and wasn't overly sweet. It was the best flavored espresso drink I've had in a very long time. Beyond the specialty menu, they had a long list of basic coffee/tea/hot chocolate options. Will be back!

Shari A.

Yelp
Really solid coffee house with lovely tea offerings and drinks, both hot and cold. It has a cool and quirky sort of bohemian vibe that is very inviting. Lots of interesting books and chotchkies adorn the inside. I very much enjoyed the oat milk latte and hubby had the matcha latte. The London fog sounded and looked amazing. It's a little off the main touristy area of cape may but that's precisely what makes this place an absolute go-to!

Eric D.

Yelp
I wanted so much for this place to be great but it really felt short for me. The sandwich was not great and there was enough butter on there to kill an elephant which made it nearly inedible. The croissant I got was under cooked and the bacon was near raw in spots as well. Their prices were very inflated too especially for their location out of the main downtown tourist area. The staff were friendly and nice and the place was cute but a lack of a bathroom and places to sit were other strikes against them unfortunately. I would probably not come back to be honest. Hope others have better luck.

Albert H.

Yelp
Ostara's an amazing little spot to grab a coffee! They also have great pastries as well and service is super friendly. They are located a bit off the main areas but they have a dedicated parking spaces and even have a few tables and chairs set up outside to sit and enjoy the weather.

Philip T.

Yelp
A hidden gem. There are a lot of coffee shops that microwave their eggs so purposely sought out a location that has a grill. This small coffee shop is such a cool spot. Kat's grill is open from 8-11am Sundays and has top notch egg sandwiches. Bagels and english muffins - no rolls. The bagels are not overwhelmingly large making them great for breakfast sandwiches. Shop has a book club which is a fun idea and a bunch of great books from Kierkegaard to bestsellers on Oprahs book club. It also has a take a book leave a book section. It is outside of downtown Cape May but worth the drive/long walk. Also next to Chez Michel which I've heard good things about. Def recommend.

Yelp
AMAZING! I don't know how long that this place has been in business but I am so upset that I just discovered it last weekend. I had been traipsing all the way from Cape May Point to the Wawa near the marina for coffee - that will never happen again (unless it is before 7:30 AM when they open) This coffee was phenomenal! I love that they use frozen coffee cubes in the ice coffee. brilliant! The store was so cute and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved all of the cute artistic items. As a bonus there is a WONDERFUL French bakery (Chez Michael) next door. I am liking supporting businesses in West Cape May.

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Awesome owners who have great coffee and goodies!! Awesome place to relax and have a great drink.

Juan C.

Yelp
Awesome place! The staff was so friendly! They do a great job at recommending what to get and what the popular drinks are. It's a cute little place and has some cold stuff that you can buy inside. Haven't tried the food yet but I'm sure it's really good

Mercedes C.

Yelp
It was all about the coffee everywhere I went in Cape May. I had my sights on doing Afternoon Tea at a local Inn- but for our short weekend- it wasn't in the cards. And the Chai I either got from other coffee shops didn't do anything for me and tasted artificial- but glad I found Ostara's in West Cape May with a quick search. Really unique and digging Ostara's style. Sofa chairs on your left, love seats and small coffee table on your right. We came across someone playing the guitar and singing some folksy tunes the morning we were there. We only came for Beverages to start our morning and head out of Cape May. Service was pleasant the short time we were there. As a Starbucks fan, my husband decided on an Iced Americano and said it was really good. I settled on a Lavender Chai- that was freaking unbelievable!!! The only downside is the weak ventilation system and smelled like food and bacon on my way out. Other than that, I like Ostara's progressive agenda and how they're thriving in their community. It's a lovely and funky place- and impressed me a whole lot. They've actually set themselves totally apart from the Victorian-style cafes you see in touristy Cape May. Simply the best Chai I've tasted in this town. Ostara's style plus their Chai- is enough to keep me coming back for more.

Yelp
This is thee most delicious Coffee I have found in a long while! Friendly staff !! Breakfast Sandwiches are fresh made of all quality ingredients!! Avacado toast is something I never tried until Ostaras came on my radar!! Definitely visit if your in Cape May

Joanie K.

Yelp
During the crush of summer crowds, this very special little shop strives to serve their customers new and returning with efficiency and good cheer. And boy do they make my morning easier to face. Love the coffee and the breakfast sandwiches! And the staff!

Juliana A.

Yelp
Best breakfast sandwiches ever!! Great coffee as well and such a friendly atmosphere. Will def be back when we're in Cape May!

Merrilee B.

Yelp
Best avocado toast anywhere, great coffee and vibes. It makes my day start great! Thanks to all the staff.

Cheryl Q.

Yelp
I absolutely love Ostara's! I am new to town from the Pacific Northwest so I was delighted to know they use an Oregon roast which is why their coffee is so good! They have a great variety and always fast and quick service. All of the staff is wonderful and the food from the kitchen is fantastic!! I love that they have so many local artist work out for display and for purchase. I just found out they have a book club and now I'm looking forward to joining along!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Terrific espresso, and they had a selection of gluten free baked goods - highly recommend!

Amanda D.

Yelp
Very nice coffee house in the neighborhood, breakfast sandwiches too. Loved my caramel latte!

T S.

Yelp
Friendly and welcoming staff, charming decor, great vibes and excellent coffee and food! Pumpkin bread was delicious, linzer tart the BEST we've ever had.

Cristen S.

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee shop!!! Not only do they have excellent coffee, chai and matcha lattes and other speciality drinks, but their gluten free/dairy free baked goods are some of the best I've ever had. The owners are super friendly and you can't beat the vibe of the shop. Plus, they sell locally made jewelry and other cool things. Always worth making a stop here when in the area!

Davina H.

Yelp
We went to Cape May to visit the area right before the season really hit off and not everything was opened yet. I can't begin to say how grateful that Ostara's was open! Their coffee is fantastic!!!!! No indoor seating when I went, which was fine since we were just grabbing and going anyway. The scones, Omgosh the scones!!!! They were so flavorful and so delicious, honestly felt like I was eating cake. I was so disappointed when they were out of scones the next day we were back for more coffee.

K C.

Yelp
Went twice this week. First time got coffee and hot food. I waited in the food area and the woman who was cooking was on a personal call ignoring me. After a long time she asked if I needed something as if I was eavesdropping on her conversation. I never handed her my food ticket well yes that is true because you were on the phone chatting. Needless to say it took forever but the food was good. My husband went by the next day as we love the coffee and they were really rude to him. They seemed annoyed he wanted a latte. Sad to say this off the list but I will keep the sticker on my water bottle.

Pattie M.

Yelp
Very good iced coffee.. super clean and great staff. Comfortable and charming seemed environmentally conscious

David K.

Yelp
Great coffee and great service! My favorite place to grab an iced coffee and pastry in Cape May!

Gina D.

Yelp
I was on my way to visit my sisters for the day, and forgot to bring my breakfast. I stopped here simply because they had a free parking lot, and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a large sized iced latte and a blueberry muffin. Both were delicious. I was also pleased because the large actually was large! I'd love to go back and check out the merchandise next trip!!

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Off the beaten path of town is Ostara's and it's nice they have a lot of the craft, quality coffee options I'm familiar with back home (they also used to be PA based, how cool!) without preservatives. Some vegetarian options. The bulletproof coffee option is also good for keto and paleo diets.

Isabel H.

Yelp
This place has a very comforting atmosphere and amazing coffee and snacks! I highly recommend.

Kathryn B.

Yelp
Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Definitely the best coffee house in Cape May/west cape may

Annie S.

Yelp
Love love love the vibes in here!! Great coffee and fun new drinks to try, like this fancy beet-le juice latte. The owners are two very cool and inspiring women and I loved chatting with them. Cant wait to see Ostara's thrive in West cape may!!

Ben H.

Yelp
Fantastic new coffee shop in West Cape May (soft opened a week ago). Cool interior, nice bar with a few stools, comfy chairs, free wifi, makes Allann coffee and espresso, selling locally fresh baked goods. Friendly staff. Great service. Even made a fresh pot of decaf for me mid-morning when I asked if they had any.. Pourovers too.

Martin M.

Yelp
Great coffee and fantastic staff. One of my favorite places in Cape May. Nice seasonal menu of beverages

Jerry L.

Yelp
Coffee was excellent. We stayed in an Airbnb nearby and had coffee here every morning. The coffee was very good and the servers be as excellent. Definitely recommend to anyone who drinks coffee.

Christina R.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, friendly staff, and cute art! What's not to love?!? This coffee shop was recommended by our air BNB host and it did not disappoint!

Cat D.

Yelp
I always love coming to Ostara's! The coffee tastes amazing and I especially love their seasonal specials. Just make sure you hand the woman at the back counter your ticket if you order food! I didn't realize and ended up waiting much longer than expected. Regardless, it's still my favorite coffee shop in Cape May!

Juj A.

Yelp
Had some time before a tattoo appointment up the block and stopped in for a snack. Loved the vibe here! The woman working was super sweet and cool, loved the local artwork, furniture, and crystals you could purchase. We got chai lattes with coconut milk, overnight oats and a stick of palo santo. Everything was delicious! My only request would be maybe having reusable silverware instead of single use plastic for the overnight oats and mugs for having your drink there (which you totally should sit and enjoy the decor). Next time we go we want to have our birthday charts read or tarot cards since they also offer that by appointment!

Denise G.

Yelp
We found this little coffee shop on the first day of our vacation and went back every day it was so amazing! I tried a different latte everyday beginning with the activated charcoal w/rose syrup~and they were all as delicious as they looked. Very instagram worthy. We ended up coming back one night for a calligraphy class and had a lot of fun and a free coffee w/the class. Oh-and being greeted by their baby barista puts a smile on your face before you even take your first sip of their delicious coffee. (Don't forget to try the scones, muffins, etc.) the vegan options.

William Thomas C.

Yelp
Good coffee, friendly staff and tasty treats wrapped in a nice location with awesome atmosphere make this a great place for some coffee.

Amy W.

Yelp
I hesitate to write this review. But I can't get over what I witnessed when I visited this coffee house. First off the coffee was okay- nothing great but that's not the issue here. What I can't get over is the food service. When I went to pick up the food from the kitchen window I saw a woman with cuts all over her arm - one cut in particular was bleeding down her arm. To make things even worse as I was leaving I saw her put her finger in her mouth while she was prepping a customers food. I'm sorry this is completely unacceptable. I felt sick leaving this place.

Wil M.

Yelp
At Ostara, they really care-a. The coffee is dope; gives you hope - that a small business can make it. Ostara's has a nice size space for sitting, at the bar or in comfy seats. Calm atmosphere; if it was a mood ring it would be Purple!
