OSTELLO BELLAVISTA

Great view. Cozy apartments.|Nice location, next to the start of the trail.|Could have a private fridge instead of a shared one though.||Prefer the top floors which are quieter, have better view and are more fresh.||Polite and friendly staff.||Last, the air-conditioning needs cleaning and disinfection. It seems as though it has never been maintained... And perhaps it hasn't.|

We had a balcony room on the top floor which was quiet, clean and spacious, with a fantastic view across the bay to a group of rocky islands. The decoration was a little spartan, but with that view you don't need anything else! Bed was large and comfortable, good bathroom with shower and bidet. Shared fridge in the corridor.||||The hotel is situated right at the edge of town - it's the last building before the coast path starts, above the port. Plenty of parking. It's a popular viewpoint for visitors.||||The staff spoke enough English to help us and were very hospitable. Breakfast and dinner are served in a separate buiding below the rooms but with the same fantastic view. Breakfast is a cold buffet with plenty of choice including fresh fruit and coffee made to order.||||They offer a set dinner for €18, for 3 courses with wine and water, with a couple of choices for each course. This was both delicious and excellent value - we ate there on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, and was better than anything else we found in Santa Maria.

I liked everything, it was a marvelous place to stay and I would like to stay there yet.||Ostello is located on the hill with a wonderful, breathtaking view, I could sit on the balcony the whole time and look and enjoy.||The room was very nice and reasonable, comfortable beds and bathroom also. Wifi worked very good.||Signora and all staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast wonderful.||There were many stairs, so if you have difficult to go up in the stairs, consider if you can manage it or not. But, when you come up to your room, you forget the stairs and think they were worth the breath, as the view is, as I said, outstanding.

A little tricky to find but well worth it. We arrived early and were allowed to check in to a lovely high room with a balcony. The views are amazing. The beaches nearby are fabulous and we spent the afternoon there. We made the right decision to eat at the Hotel, the food is great and so cheap! Would love to stay there again.

I had such a wonderful stay in Ostello Bellavista ! The 10 min walk to get there is widely rewarded by the prettiest view in all Santa Maria Navarrese (also, perfect to digest .. you eat a lot in Italy). For those who like hiking, it is also idealy located right at the start of Pedra Longa hiking trail ;) But really the highlight of it all is the warm welcome of every single person working there ! I can only recommend !

Situated 60m above the Marina of Santa Maria Navarrese with a great view over the bay towards Arbatax and the Mediterranean sea to the east. Watch the sun rise in the morning and enjoy the great hospitality of the staff. A tiny little bit of Italian helps a long way.||The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is very good. Charming hotel. Very basic. Clean. Staff is exceptionally friendly. But why do you really come here? You come here for the view, which truly is beautiful view of the Mediterranean. We rented a Vespa from the town over and scoot from the top to the shops, cafes and beaches. Is there better way to experience Santa Maria Navarrese...I don’t know. Just a simple way to experience a simple and beautiful life by the sea.

The views from Ostello Bellavista are beautiful, our room was spotless and everyone was very friendly. Having said that, it was a 15 minute uphill walk out of the main village and it is very dated. I also found the beds uncomfortably hard. Good value though and the breakfast was good. We took ours out to the terrace but we seemed to be the only ones!
