If weather is hot don't stay there. Otherwise good sleep option with a lot of ameities. Hot room with only a Fan far awayvfrom window. 30degrC out 25degr inside no colling even with Windows open. Staff not closing blinds thru day.

I stayed 1 night. My room was not disinfected. Whole night I got tortured with itching insect bites. Did not get any sleep. Next day I had insect bite marks on my hands neck, and other parts of the body. Same day I fell sick on my way back to US. When I emailed, Hostel management showed no empathy to my plight, simply saying they found vermin, but nothing beyond that.

Great location. Fantastic, incredibly friendly knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Very clean and comfortable.

Stars for decent breakfast, cleanliness & comfy bed for being hostel. Not rest of the stars because of the sleepless nights with people banging their doors, shouting, jumping in their dorms (entire room trembling) & playing loud music partying at 2:30-4am + starting again at 7am and then the music school also starts their classes at like 8:30+/-….. Would have rather paid for an airbnb entire place where it would cost just more or less the same price. Luckily didn’t stay more than two sleepless nights and happily leaving this place.

This hostel has been one of the better hostels I've stayed in. The rooms were clean. The staff was decent. The breakfast was the best free hostel breakfast I've had. It's a little pricey, but Switzerland overall is a bit expensive, so I can't really complain about the price. The town is really small, so everything is pretty easy to get to from this hostel. The wifi is free, there are free maps at the desk, and it's very quiet at night.

Youth hostels in Switzerland are a word apart. We love them. This was a terrific deal, less expensive by far than any of the hotels. We decided to splurge a little and take a private room with bath. There were private rooms with shared baths in addition to the normal dormitory rooms. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. The food was great, and so was the company. People young and old from all over the world. The staff here are proficient in many languages, and they are extremely helpful. One young woman spent a lot of time helping us to figure out train and bus connections to Malpensa airport and nearby Lugano. ||||We enjoyed sitting out on our small balcony in the evening and listening the the animated voices of the many young people sharing stories.||||The hostel is a very short walk from the center of town and the lake. We would stay here again if back this way.

We stayed to nights while visiting canton Ticino. The location is really good, in the center of the city. We arrived earlier than check-in time but luckily our room was available so we could check in earlier. Also, breakfast buffet is included and has many different options. Another pro is that, by being hostel, the city provides you with free transportation ticket for most transportations and discounts in the super touristy ones. ||The place was clean and comfortable. Our roomview gave to a parking lot, meh. ||We didn't like, however, that they have no public kitchen for guests, they provide their own dinning services with Swiss pricing. And also, they charged us a "daily membership for the Hostel chain" of 8 Fr. per day per person. ||Sincerely, I preferred much more the Hostel chain "Swiss hostels" than this one (especially Lausanne GuestHouse & Backpacker), but unfortunately they didn't have a hostel in the city, but in the mountain nearby.

Probably the cheapest place to stay in a town where everything is expensive. Compared to any other city this hostel would be extortionate, but for Switzerland it's value for money.||||Rooms were basic - I stayed in a twin with bunk beds and a sink - it would have been nice to have the option of a double bed at this same price.||||However it was quiet at night and the buffet style complimentary breakfast was excellent. ||||For budget travellers it would be nice to have an option to prepare your own food and drinks, plus access to a fridge etc, as eating out in Switzerland doesn't come cheap!||||Staff here were really friendly and multi-lingual. I would definitely stay here again.||||Good location not far from the Piazza Grande.
