Our stay at the Ostello was nothing less than fantastic.
After an arduous journey, we arrived without reservation on the steps of the old Villa Francescatti. Wrecked, we wandered into the homely reception to be greeted by one of the incredibly helpful volunteers, who willingly give up their time to help travellers who come to the Ostello. Throughout the entire stay the service by the staff was fantastic. They really helped us with everything we needed, from queries about the hostel, to just about anything about Verona itself.
Without reservation, we were given dorm rooms and had ample access to the great washing and showering facilities the hostel provides. The dorms were great value, at only €18, and the beds provided were perfect for a good nights sleep. The free wi-fi was also very useful.
The following day we decided to book one of the private rooms, which were again incredible value at only €20 per person. Included with each night stayed is a simple, but free breakfast. It's basic but charming, with as much bread and coffee as you can possibly eat.
The hostel was located close to the the centre of Verona, with easy access to the town by foot. It's grounds were spacious and beautiful, once that of the old Villa, now a perfect place to relax with friends.
For those on a tight budget, or those wanting to experience something uniquely charming, I'd highly recommend you stay at the Ostello Villa Francescatti.
