A restaurant serving typical Tuscan dishes.
You can find this restaurant in the heart of Monteriggioni. Once you arrive, you’re warmly greeted by the staff.
Since the terrace at the front was full earlier, we were guided to the garden behind the restaurant—a covered area that, despite the air conditioning systems, was still quite warm.
Once seated, you’re presented with the menu. There’s plenty of choice, including many seasonal dishes. I found the font on the menu a bit hard to read, especially since there’s so much written on it.
We chose the risotto with mushrooms and the pappardelle al ragù di Chianina. As a side dish, we ordered the fiori di zucca fritti.
All were delicious dishes, freshly prepared. The fiori di zucca fritti in particular was a true discovery—definitely something I’ll try to make more often at home.
All in all, a good restaurant where you get value for money. Unfortunately, it was too warm for the ribollita; otherwise, I would have loved to try it.
So if you’re in Monteriggioni, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
