This was our best dining experience in Venice! So good we ate there twice in one day! If we were staying longer we would have gone back for even more! The food was fresh and delicious and our service was spectacular. We loved that it was family owned and to top it all off we had the pleasure of watching the 15 year old son of the owner cooking in the kitchen. Our experience was very refreshing and we highly recommend you trying this little gem.

I went there at dinner time. The food was so delicious. And, the waiter is funny. Because I'm Japanese, he spoke Japanese a little.

This was my first Italian dish experience in Venice and it was a good one. The ambience is nice and cozy. The attention is superb. The food is good also but not spectacular. It may be a bit pricey and I think they don’t put enough food for the price you are paying. They don’t give you tap water, you have to pay for it. For these reasons I give them 4/5

Osteria Bakan is superb. The food was amazing and Ugo took fantastic care of us with excellent wine recommendations. It was so good we went back the next night and were just as pleased if not more so. The specials were fantastic. Not a tourist spot. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Venetian cuisine.

Best caprese salad I’ve had in my life! (Though to be fair I haven’t have a ton to compare with but still, it was great!) I asked for a recommendation for a main course and the waitress highly recommended the fish of the day. Unfortunately, I didn’t think the dish was special but I’m also not a huge seafood/fish person. It was a steamed fish which tasted perfectly fine but just nothing special about it. The waitress was a little pushy on the caprese salad since the fish would take 30 mins but I am glad that I got it. They have AC but since the doors were open or something jt was still a little bit warm, though not hot. Overall probably 4/5 for me but anything under 5 stars is bad on Google.

The mussels appetiser was fresh and delicious! They were cooked perfectly, tender and the sauce was amazing! It was a very big portion but my wife and I finished it as it was too addictive. For mains we had the squid ink pasta and pasta with bacon pistachio cream which was also nice . As the restaurant is quite out of the way, will only recommend if you have the time to visit or nearby the area.

The food was excellent. The portions were perfectly sized and the staff was excellent. Coming from Canada, where we also have authentic Italian cuisine. Nothing compares to the Cacio E Pepe.

Yelp
On our first night in Venice we wandered out and found this place. The lower back room where we were seated was an intimate location, though a bit crowded. Our server like so many in Italy, seemed at first almost put out with having to serve us, but then warmed up. However, he seemed to have a cold and was constantly wiping his nose--yuck! The food was good, though not great. Overall, I believe there are better choices in Venice.
