Osteria Belle Donne

We went for a day trip on my wife's birthday, and for the truffle experience in Florence. The decor inside was mesmerizing and very elegant. Elvis our waiter was so helpful and friendly. We ordered Salmon carpaccio, truffle pasta, and steak. The truffle taste and mix of spices were perfect. Only small comment, the steak meat was a bit dense. But the flavors were so good. We had our fav Italian tiramisu there!

Whether you live in the area, or your in Florence for a couple weeks they make sure to treat you like a regular with amazing service and gratitude. Me and my roommates are doing a study abroad program here and live directly above the restaurant and the always give us the best care and honesty everyone who walks in the door becomes instant family. They have absolutely amazing food and wine as well! Would absolutely recommend coming here:)!

Space is somewhat limited, but otherwise atmosphere is very good. Food was excellent. Restaurant staff are outstanding. Young, friendly, helpful, hardworking people. Would definitely visit this place again. Also, they have a wine window (not pictured) so you can order wine from outside the restaurant and drink it on the sidewalk.

Stumbled in here on night and the food is pretty good! Nothing out of the ordinary but solid Italian cuisine. I will say, it was quite hot inside and you can definitely find better food in the area but this is not a bad option if you are already nearby! The cacio e pepe was pretty standard - thick, chewy pici - and I appreciated that the portion wasn’t gigantic like so many other places in the city.

Osteria Belle Donne was the ultimate culinary experience in Florence! From our first visit, when we tried a glass of wine from their charming window, we knew this place was special. Two days later, we returned for dinner, and everything was simply exceptional – from the flavors to the presentation. But what truly won us over was the staff: incredible people, full of smiles, warmth, and professionalism. They made us feel at home. A bit overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. Pasta was very good but the bruschetta was burned. It was ok overall.

The Osteria Belle Donne Wine Window is a "Must Do" experience while in Florence Italy. Just knock on the small wooden window, place & pay for your order (for either "here" or "walking away"). And wait for your wine, spritzer, or beer to be passed to you through that small wooden window...enjoy! The experience doesn't end there. I highly recommend you walk through the adjacent door, and enter their Restaurant; complete with lavish plants at ceiling level & throughout (it feels like you are sitting in a garden)! The Bruschetta with tomatoes (which is a historical specialty of Florence), and Gnocchi with pears and walnuts, was VERY tasty... especially paired with a glass of local Chianti!
