Osteria Da Clara

Since all tables were reserved, I had a dinner at the sofa-table. But I never felt any inconvenience at this place. The server kindly explained to me her menu in English (all menu was written in Czech language). The foods were perfect and very great. If I come to Prague again, my first visitation will be this restaurant. Hope I would have a next chance to have a nice dinner here again.

Exceptionally tasty, fresh, homemade Italian food. By my standards the best in Prague. That said, i believe the tiramisu at Cafe Terapie is a notch higher. Da Clara also has excellent and friendly staff.

Seafood pasta and eggplant with sausage pasta were both outstanding. Highly recommend. Reservations should be made, especially for weekends.

We love this place. Amazing pasta and seafood. Very original appetizers - I strongly recommend to ask for a chef's platter for two. Unfortunately I always wolf down my main course before taking a picture, that's how much I look forward to every dish! Every day you come there is a different menu, depending on what do they have fresh at the moment. Not so pricy as Pastař or Pasta Fresca in the center, yet the food quality is at the same level. Nice wine, friendly staff. Make a reservation!

Nice small restaurant with Italian food. We enjoyed the food and drinks. Place was quite we could have nice discussions.

Very good Mediterranean restaurant, the food(lamb) was very delicious and fresh. I would visit it again to enjoy other dishes.

Quality-wise better food than some places I've been into when I was in Rome. Desert was very well presented. Spot on!

One of the very nice, cozy, comfortable, delicious Italian restaurant. They have almost every day different menu. Based on the ingredients and the chef idea. I like the place. I took my parents here for lunch. They enjoyed as well. You better make reservation. It's packed.

This place is great for a date. Off the beaten path where you won't find tourists. Food here is very good Salads were one of the best I've had Entree: Seafood pasta - incredible taste. I haven't tasted anything like this before in the US Pappardelle with ragu - just ok. Since it was their 6th or 7th anniversary they offered us free champagne but since we don't drink they gave us free dessert which was good

OK, ok, I'm joining the circle of raving reviews. I've now been to Da Clara twice and it was an absolute pleasure twice. The atmosphere is very inviting and warm and while there are meals on the daily menu that might only be worth 4,5 stars, the majority of them clearly belongs into the 5 stars section. On top of that, all the antipasti and the other tasty bits and pieces are excellent and adequately priced. The wine, oh the wine! I have rarely ever experienced a place where I can always go for one of the two pretty "cheap" house wines and I'm never disappointed. So far Da Clara was pretty much a defining factor for the days we went there, (Sundays). 1st course, main dish, desert & coffee. It's pretty much a waste, if you don't go for the total package. Did I mention the music? Tops it all of. Jazz, Funk, Soul. Perfect. One of my favorite places in Prague.

After reading great reviews about this place we had to try it ourselves. Our experience was amazing. It's really all about the food there. We went there for the whole treat, antipasti, main and dessert, and every bite was packed with flavor. Great reasonably priced wine as well. I look forward going there again. For me, this is the best italian place in Prague!

Excellent food and lovely staff. Only reason I'm rating 4 stars and not 5 is that they were closed for lunch when they were supposed to be open. Bruschetta cannot be missed, full of garlic and fresh tomatoes. They have a changing main courses menu (every second day) when we ate there we had the mussel linguine and beef strips with roasted vegetables. Both were incredibly tasty. One thing is that they don't accept credit cards contrary to what their Yelp page says. Will definitely return here next time we're in Prague!

We got here just by looking at the reviews. We only have good words to date. It's a small intimate place. The food is just great , and the team recommendations where spot on. We've especially enjoyed the long cooked meat. Will come here again for sure!

Wonderful little shop in Prague. Located off of the beaten tourist track and packed with customers. We stopped by without a reservation and got ourselves a seat, but make sure to reserve a spot if you can. I got the seafood pasta and it was to die for! Packed full of seafood and a huge portion. I left feeling stuffed. I also got a bruschetta, which was just the right amount of garlicky magic. Service was incredibly friendly. Food was quick. Definitely stop by if you're ready for a delicious meal.

Thank you Yelp!! I've been in Prague on business for 1 week with 15 days to go. Love the city but the food has been BORING. I'm goulashed, porked and dumplinged out already. Osteria de Clara is a fabulous oasis for a foodie. This place has a nice buzz yet intimate. Most tables are full here at 9p on a Tuesday. That says something eh? Not much English here, but that was part of the fun. Pasta and vino were the only words I needed anyway. When the waiter suggested bru-SKetta - I was into that too. And so glad I was! Full of garlic and olive oil. With fresh tomatoes. Where'd they get those in March? Yum. Don't be in a hurry. This is SLOW food. Take your time and remember how to DINE. I'd post pics, but that's so old. Trust me. You'll be delighted. For my entree I had the rigatoni but it'll probably be different when u get here. The menu is written on a chalkboard. Come see what they're serving today! Get off the tourist track and give this one a try.

A small and cute restaurant where you can chose from small menu written on a chalkboard. They offer a selection of italian-style dishes including pasta, meat, fresh fish, seafood and vegetarian.(no pizza - which is a good sign). As starter we shared bruschetta. After that my girl ordered vegetarian pasta and I had fish. Both meals were delicious. As desert we had tiramiu and we also shared a bottle of white wine which was recommended to us. The service was very nice. Since the menu was in czech the waiter translated it to us and made good recommendations. The price was totally fair for the offered quality. During our weekend, this was the best restaurant in prague we've visited.

A small, modest-looking spot in a residential neighborhood, this is one of Prague's best Italian restaurants. We enjoyed the pasta here more than the good stuff we had in Rome. The British chef lived in Tuscany and absorbed its cuisine into his soul. I know Tuscans who practically cried after eating here that it was like home. The portions are large, the prices are low for the quality, the wine list is all Italian, selected by the chef during trips to Italy. I live in Prague and da Clara is one of my regular favorites. There are only about 10 tables, so reservations are highly recommended.

My husband and I came here while on vacation in Prague and the food was incredible! the hostess was more than accommodating being that we were without cell phones and came without reservation, yet she still made a way to accommodate us after everything. We had a delicious red wine, burrata appetizer, pasta and tiramisu & panna cotta for desert. Absolutely unreal; the best we have had since being in Prague. Word of advice: use the phone in your hotel and make your reservation as soon as possible, this place is worth going off the beaten track to fine.

This was our last dinner date in Prague before we left back to NYC...We started with a bottle of white wine that tasted amazing!! For an appetizer we had a bruschetta bread that was absolutely perfect. As for entrees I had a pasta with Italian sausage with some sort of pumpkin mixed in that was also excellent..My gf had a seafood linguine which had octopus, King Prawns and mussels which she loved...To finish off we shared a tiramisu that was so delectable...All the different ingredients and flavors went so well together...We highly recommend this "mom and pop" spot if you're In Prague...Definitely a hidden gem!!

WOA. This place is amazing. The food is simple and has great quality. The portions are PERFECT. I can't remember the last time I ate this well... My partner and I kept it simple. We had two orders of anti-pasta, house wine, and spaghetti. They use ginger in the spaghetti! its PHENOMENAL and the tiramisu is to die for. The waitresses were helpful, too. Just a warning: BRING CASH. The yelp page said they accept cards, but they don't! Save yourself the hassle because there is no ATM/BANK immediately in site. Overall, this might be the best food I've had in Prague.

I've heart about this place from friends of mine. The experience is amazing. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere. And THE FOOD! It can't be described, just go there. Extraordinary combination of tastes, nice portions, great wine.

This place is just amazing! This is how a proper Italian restaurant should look like. Do not expect any posy interior, it is a rather small place that makes you feel like home and the staff is very friendly and provides great recommendations. I love the lively yet homy atmosphere of this place and also love to be trying new meals in here. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is definitely the place to go!

Possibly the best Italian I've ever had. Usually I'm completely underwhelmed when I go out for Italian, feeling like I could have done as well or better at home. But Osteria is completely on point. The pasta is cooked to Al dente perfection, and the sauces we had were both interesting and well balanced. Also a nice selection of wines, great for date night or a night out with friends. Definitely make a reservation as it fills up fast. They also have some outdoor seating, which looked lovely in the evening.

Had lunch a few days after we were turned away without a reservation on a Saturday night. Seeing how busy the place was we were excited to try it. When we arrived for lunch the place was mostly empty and we were treated to a great experience. Everything was outstanding and we can't wait to go back with a reservation for dinner.

Such a lovely place! This place is quite small, but very cosy and the service was great. The food is simply amazing, and at great prices too. If in Prague and looking for Italian, go here!

The food is so good that you can eat here daily and you'll never get tired of it. One has to love the whole package of great cuisine, family atmosphere, modest design and great service. Do not hesitate!

I strongly do NOT recommend to visit this restaurant, the reviews here are likely fake or from people with no taste. We started with an appetizer for 2, which was really poor, basically a collection of pastry, ONE slice of salami and something that resembled oil cooked rice? For 200CZK really overpriced. The olive oil they brought us for dipping bread tasted awful and came in really old and crushed bowl. Main dish: The meat was ok but nothing spectacular, the mashed potatoes that came on the side seemed like reheated gizmo from powder. The gnocchi were sponge-like and the sauce was quite weird. Drinks: The red wine by glass we had was of low quality, it did not taste any good, plus they charge for tap water. Service: not dressed appropriately, quite unresponsive, we had finished our started and it took them 20 minutes to collect it and another 20 to bring the main dish. And this place is very small, so they should not have any problems to be more quick. We will not return and recommend against visiting.
